I grew up with doberman and a poodle, and describe the doberman as my best childhood friend. I had 3 cats in my adulthood who lived well into old age. Due to a lot of travel for my work, I made the conscious decision not to have animals of my own in this phase of my life. I have been doing pet sitting for many years. I have experience with dogs that have special needs, medication etc. Currently my partner and I both work from home and yearn to have time with animals, but can't make the commitment to have an animal of my own. So being able to support others with their pets feels like a great solution. We live next to the Vondelpark and LOVE to walk. The dog has to be comfortable with stairs (or small enough to carry) as we live on the 3rd and 4th floor. We are bilingual English/Dutch, and my partner also speaks French and Spanish.
