Ik ben zelf echt opgegroeid met honden, en mis een hondje in huis! Alleen heb ik daar nog niet geld voor, maar dit lijkt me dus een leuke oplossing. Ik ben een master student (in bewegingwetenschappen) die komende maanden haar tijd zelf in kan delen (vanwege scriptie), dus dat is ook fijn voor het uitlaten, verzorging etc. Verder heb ik 1 andere huisgenoot die ook een grote hond liefhebber is, en ook mee kan helpen. Wat wel goed is om te weten is dat we op de 3e verdieping wonen, dus de trap is mischien onhandig voor echt grote honden (trap is te stijl). Ik kijk uit naar uw interesse!

Jose and myself are both pet lovers who grew up around animals. Sadly, we do not have enough space at the moment to have a pet for a long-period. That’s why we think that this concept is brilliant! We could look after your pet if you have tight schedule or simply want to go for a holiday. While occasional work travel makes a permanent pet infeasible, we would love to welcome your pooch into our home! Ik vind alle hondjes even leuk en lief en hou ervan om lang te wandelen in het park, te knuffelen en veel te spelen. Ik heb een grasveld voor de deur en een park om de hoek dus dat is handig met uitlaten. Door de jaren heen heb ik op verschillende hondjes gepast. Een engelse Stafford, Australische herder, Beagle puppy, chihuahua puppy en ik pas regelmatig op de ruwharige dwergtackel van mijn tante. Ik vind grotere honden ook leuk maar heb daar wel iets minder ervaring mee en ze passen niet helemaal in mijn kleinere appartement. Hopelijk tot snel!

I have had my dog since he was a puppy. My wife wants another one, but I'm not sure yet, as we might move intercontinental in a couple of years and the idea of a dog in a plane, sedated, stresses me out. helping others to take of their dog seems like a good combination to help others, while giving her a second dog in the house every now and then. Because we both are able to be working from home, there will be someone home most days though and for the the days we are not, we try to work half a day from home. once or twice a week, it might be up to 8 hours though, so that should be possible. therefore puppies are not a great fit, even though I would love to have one around. Normal walkschedule is a short walk in the morning. 30 minutes at lunch to a dog park. 15-60 minutes after work, depending on the weather. and 10 minutes before bed. Of course the dog gets lots of love and an elderly friend in Bammbamm. (please note that we do have stairs in our house) Ik spreek overigens ook Nederlands.

But there is nothing more rewarding than earning a dogs trust. For example, here in Amsterdam I am regularly taking care of my friends foster dog. She’s been through a lot of hardships in life, but after a while I was finally able to earn her trust and my friend can travel on the weekends 🥰 I see dogsitting as a wonderful opportunity for me to share the love for dogs and support dog owners, while currently our life situation doesn’t allow us to adopt one ourselves.

Daria was great for Pablo. Required a lot of patience as my little friend can be very stubborn. In the end he looked very happy!
