I’m 25 and grew up with dogs my whole life. In my photo album, you’ll spot a little version of me with Bella, my first dog. She was a rescue, sweet, nervous, and the ultimate cuddle buddy. Not much of a fetch player though. Losing her was my first real heartbreak. Later came Otto, the fluffy white guy in the other photos. He’s my soulmate in dog form. We did everything together. Cooking, talking, lounging around. He would follow me from room to room like a shadow with a tail. Since moving abroad, I miss him more than anything. Right now I’m not in a place to have a dog of my own, but I really miss the company. I’ve looked after friends’ dogs here and there and thought, why not do it more often. I live with my boyfriend, who also loves dogs and works hybrid, mostly from home. Together, we share the care of any dogs I dog sit, making sure they receive plenty of attention and companionship. Paula was available to dogsit Enzo in very short notice, and accomodated him amazingly. Not only was it very easy to communicate beforehand, on the day itself I received pictures and regular updates, he had nice long walks and loads of cuddles. Downside is for sleepovers I have to bring my dog along, so that may be awkward. I can't travel super long distances, speifically during cold weather. I most certainly won't ship to Noord, Almere or Purmerend to walk doggo. The notion abhors me :) I can visit your house or stay the night walking or biking distance from de Pijp. I can host a dog that's compatible with Desie, inside my apartment. Desie is a female (neutered) Bull Terrier and . very agreeable towards other dogs. IF I stay the night or spend hours at YOUR place, I will have to bring Desie with me. I can NOT host cats. I postively adore cats but Desie adores them as a form of hissing snack. As a particularly illustrative - i have a lot of experience with tame rats. This may be an option, but who would pay "for someone to watch a bunch of rats" ? I would like to evolve experience taking care of avids, such as crows, ravens, birds if prey - but that would a major undertaking. Parrots and such, I guess maybe...? In ons ruime appartement (incl balkon) kan de hond vrijuit rondlopen/spelen/slapen. Wij zijn ook bereid medicatie toe te dienen en de vacht te verzorgen (borstelen/wassen etc). Ik heb sinds jongs af aan een ongelooflijke passie voor dieren en vind het prachtig om met dieren te spelen, te knuffelen en trucjes te leren. Deze passie uit zich verder in het binge watchen van natuurdocumentaires, het groeten van elke hond / kat die ik buiten tegenkom & het bezoeken van elke dierentuin in elke stad die ik bezoek.
