Hi, my name is Laura and I am a 20-year-old dog lover from Estonia. I am currently living in Leiden and studying psychology at the university. I've even thought of using my degree to work with animals in the future. I am very happy here, but there is an essential component missing from my life - interaction with dogs! I myself have a dog back home - he's a West Highland white terrier - who I love and miss very much, so I would be happy to take care of your dog/s and keep them happy and loved. My dog is truly the best friend and comforter I've ever had. I've always been very involved in my dog's puppy training and general care in additional to just enjoying his company, and I've had to deal with a couple of health issues he has had as well. I've been an animal lover from a very young age even before my parents agreed to get a dog - I had rabbits, I did horseback riding for years, and looked after my friends' and neighbours' dogs, cats, turtles and hamsters while they were on trips. My grandmother and my cousin both had dogs that passed away recently, so I have also been involved in the care of older dogs, while I have lots of experience with puppies as well, as my family and me also fostered an Airedale terrier puppy for a couple of weeks. I've looked after dogs at horse stables and competitions, and I also volunteered in an animal shelter back home as a dog walker. Even though I do have some experience with bigger dogs, I am mainly used to smaller and medium-sized dogs, although every dog is different and I am open to working something out with bigger dogs as well! I have the most experience with terriers. Due to my current living situation, I cannot bring your dog/s to my place, but I am happy to look after them in your home, or take them on fun walks. I am generally a very active and sporty person, so I will enjoy giving your dog/s a fun and challenging walk that will be rewarding to both of us. My study schedules change frequently so I may be available at different times each week, but generally I am free in the mornings and evenings or at night, and for weekends it depends on how busy I am during that time period. I'm a 26-year-old student from Australia, studying a Master of Interior Architecture at the Willem de Kooning Academy (with a history of Fine Arts). I LOVE animals, and have experience dog-sitting back in Melbourne - long-term and frequently I looked after an Akita-Inu, and the other dogs were a chihuahua and a mixed-breed terrier. I adore dogs more than I can put into words - I grew up with dogs, and had up until this year my darling Toto living in Australia with my parents, who was 17 years old (!) and such a darling. He was a Tenterfield Terrier. Ik ben Femke, ben 18 jaar en ik kom uit Leiden. Ik hou van dieren en dat is ook de reden waarop ik ben begonnen met honden uitlaten. I have taken care of 10 cats and 3 dogs my whole life since I was a kid. I even owned 13 cats before I moved here in the Netherlands. Pet lover exited to help in Leiden

I am a pet lover - dogs as well as cats. Lived my whole life around and caring for my dogs back home in Latvia - playing and exercising them, physically as well as mentally. Back home I even went through dog school with my German Shepherd and trained our puppy on my own. Here in Leiden I would prefer small to middle size dogs, just because in case of per boarding I believe my apartment would be a bit too small for a large dog. All my experience with dogs does not take away from my love of other pets like cats - in facts I am the godmother of 2 cats that my friend owns. In general, I am an animal lover that believes that each pet is different with their own personality that needs to be stimulated. :)

Ik doe graag lange wandeling met mijn hond Yuka. Ze is van mij verplicht om dagelijks minstens 10km te lopen, niet alleen is het goed voor haar, maar het is ook goed voor mij. Aangezien ik graag van lopen houd, dacht ik, waarom niet met nog een hondje erbij. Als ik het hondje en haar of zijn eigenaar hiermee blij kan maken, waarom niet? Ik heb niet zoveel ervaring met honden, behalve met mijn eigen hond. Yuka is 4 jaar en is een Shiba inu. Ze is heel rustig en zeer lui, wat ik beetje jammer vind omdat ik graag met haar wil spelen. Ik ben heel erg spontaan en zeer lief en ik verwen alle hondjes die ik tegenkom. Onze vaste wandeltijd is tussen 11:30 en 13:00/ 14:00. De wandeling duurt minstens 2 uurtjes. Wij wandelen vaak in de omgeving van het Haagse bos, Malieveld, Hofvijver en centrum.

Ik heb in het verleden een Duitste herder en een Jack Russel gehad. Momenteel heb ik een wolfgrauwe keeshond en mijn vriendin een sibirsche husky. Wij zijn gek op dieren, we hebben ook nog katten en paarden. Ik ben erg sportief en beschik over een auto, boswandelingen of strandwandelingen ben ik niet vies van. En een beetje regen gaan we ook dwars doorheen. Mijn droom is om een honden opvang/uitlaatservice te beginnen. Ik hoop op deze manier een weg te vinden om dat te kunnen realiseren. Ik ben altijd heel voorzichtig aan wie ik mijn maatje toe vertrouw. Maar bij tom is dat zeker goed bevallen. Hij is heel goed geweest voor mijn hond. Hij was helemaal uit geteld en heeft zijn energie ergoed uit gegooid. Ik had er thuis geen hond meer aan. Gewoon helemaal top. Dankjewel tom voor de goede zorgen die je shadow hebt gegeven en tot snel weer👍👍👍

Huge fan of walking and having nice company aside

I always had pets in my home when i was growing up so I understand them well enough and I enjoy my time around them, I believe they have pure and genuine energy and love towards us as long as we can reciprocate it back. I moved in to the Netherlands almost a year ago and cant afford having a companion aside me due to my financial circumstances atm, however it would be amazing to have be able to walk them and hang around with them every now and then.
