Animals have been a constant source of joy in my life, starting from my very first pet, a lovely cat. Sadly, my discovery of allergies meant I had to him give away and entrust it to my aunt's care. But as fate would have it, Spiky, the Pomeranian, bounced into our lives and stole my heart. I took great pleasure in caring for him although he was my friend's dog, meaning he wouldn't be around for long.

Then came the moment that would forever warm my soul. My parents surprised me with a Yorkie puppy who I named Sasha. Instantly, I fell in love with her, and she seamlessly integrated into our family as one more member. She's been our faithful travel buddy and my life companion for 10 years already; always by our side.

Over the years, I've been entrusted with the care of dogs and cats belonging to our friends and relatives. It's a responsibility I wholeheartedly embrace, as there's something truly rewarding about nurturing and looking after these cherished companions. Yet, it was when I moved away, far from home, that I truly grasped the depth of my adoration for animals and how much joy they bring to one.

Although my passion extends to dogs of all sizes, I must confess that handling larger breeds presents a unique challenge for me. Standing at a smaller stature myself, it can be quite the struggle to manage their enthusiastic energy single-handedly. Nevertheless, my love and determination for these gentle giants enable me to overcome any physical limitations, ensuring their well-being and happiness. I do on the other hand have experience taking care of trained larger dogs, since last summer I house sat and cared for two Border Collies by myself.

In essence, animals hold an irreplaceable place in my heart, and their presence enriches my life beyond measure!
