Hello! 👋

My name is Xige, and I’m an international master’s student at Leiden University. I’m also someone who has basically grown up surrounded by animals 🐾

Back home in Inner Mongolia, I have a Mongolian Bankhar named Nyangar. His name is Mongolian and means “bright,” because he truly brought a lot of brightness into our family ✨
He is a very big dog with an even bigger personality. He’s four years old, which also means I have four years of hands-on experience with giant breeds.

I come from a nomadic background, so taking care of animals has always been part of my life. I often joke that I am a sheep whisperer, and also a dog and cat whisperer 🐑🐶🐱 I grew up helping my parents look after sheep, which taught me early on that every animal is different and that they all deserve care, respect, and a bit of extra attention.

Whenever I am with animals, I always focus on making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and happy. I genuinely enjoy bonding with them and getting to know their personalities 🥰
I hope to make more dog and cat friends here and would love to take care of them regularly and play with them. It’s not only that they need our company, but honestly, we need theirs just as much 🤍
