Playful, loving, down-to-earth & good communicator

I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I love animals and have a lot of experience both with my own pets (of which I had quite a variety growing up) and also pet sitting. Wij, Carli en Danique, wonen in een heel fijn en koel appartement in Amsterdam-Oost met een tuin! We dromen van een eigen hond, maar willen daar alle tijd voor hebben en in sommige periodes is dat in deze fase van ons leven niet het geval. Vandaar deze gezellige oplossing :) Danique heeft thuis gestreden voor een hond (inclusief PowerPoint om ouders te overtuigen) en heeft vanaf haar 12e, jaren lang met een Border Collie mogen leven. Daarna heeft ze in Amsterdam nog verschillende uitlaat honden 'gehad'. Carli is verzot van honden. Hij haalt op reis alle straathonden aan die we tegenkomen en de liefde is vaak wederzijds. I have had my dog since he was a puppy. My wife wants another one, but I'm not sure yet, as we might move intercontinental in a couple of years and the idea of a dog in a plane, sedated, stresses me out. helping others to take of their dog seems like a good combination to help others, while giving her a second dog in the house every now and then. Because we both are able to be working from home, there will be someone home most days though and for the the days we are not, we try to work half a day from home. once or twice a week, it might be up to 8 hours though, so that should be possible. therefore puppies are not a great fit, even though I would love to have one around. Normal walkschedule is a short walk in the morning. 30 minutes at lunch to a dog park. 15-60 minutes after work, depending on the weather. and 10 minutes before bed. Of course the dog gets lots of love and an elderly friend in Bammbamm. (please note that we do have stairs in our house) Ik spreek overigens ook Nederlands.

Mijn liefde voor honden is groot, en met jarenlange ervaring met zorg voor verschillende hondenrassen, verwacht ik dat jouw hond een leuke tijd zal gaan hebben, door: Uitlaten & hardloopsessies (structureel of sporadisch): Normale, kortere wandelingen of lange wandelroutes tot 15 km kunnen worden afgestemd op de energie van jouw hond. Speciale hardlooproutes voor energieke honden, zoals langs de Amstel (12 km) of door het Beatrixpark (5 km) kunnen we ook doen, in overleg. In parken in de buurt van jullie huis of mijn huis, kan jouw hond los, als dat gewenst is. Als jullie in (de buurt van) Amsterdam-Zuid wonen, lijkt het me heel leuk om structureel een hond uit te laten. Ik sta er dus zeker voor open om een vaste dag af te spreken of om vast uitlater te worden. Dagopvang (Geschikt voor 1 hond of 2 honden die samenwonen): Zowel mijn vriend als ik zijn echte hondenliefhebbers, dus jouw hond krijgt volop aandacht en liefde. Wij wonen in ruim appartement (140 m²) op de 3e verdieping in Amsterdam-Zuid. Het appartement heeft een balkon en in de zomer zetten we de openslaande deuren altijd open zodat de hond op het balkon kan liggen wanneer hij of zij dat wil. Uiteraard kunnen we de deuren sluiten, mocht een hond (of baasje) het spannend vinden. Binnen 5 minuten zijn we in het Beatrixpark met een speciale losloopplek en we zijn op loopafstand van de Amstel, waar we door het gras kunnen (hard)lopen. Ik sta er zeker voor open een om een vaste oppasdag per week af te spreken, maar het lijkt me ook leuk om af en toe een oppasadres te zijn. Het is voor de baas het meest praktisch als jullie in (de buurt van) Amsterdam-Zuid wonen. Logeren (Geschikt voor 1 hond of 2 honden die samenwonen): De hond krijgt een slaapplek in de ruime gang in ons appartement op de beneden of bovenverdieping. Honden die logeren wat spannender vinden, mogen direct bij onze slaapkamerdeur. Dus of jouw hond nu een actieve hardloper is of een rustige oudere viervoeter, ik pas mijn zorg en tempo volledig aan. Met geduld en liefde bied ik jouw hond een fijne tijd, zodat jij met een gerust hart weg kunt.

[ENGLISH BELOW] Hi! Wij zijn Braden (27) en Ashley (28). Wij wonen sinds 2023 samen in Amsterdam, nadat Braden (Brits/Zuid-Afrikaans) is verhuisd naar Nederland. Wij hebben beide altijd verschillende soorten honden gehad en missen dit enorm nu wij zelf samen (nog) geen hond hebben. Daarom vinden we het superfijn om via deze manier anderen uit de brand te kunnen helpen én zelf omringd te blijven met viervoeters. Wij wonen 5 minuutjes van zowel Rembrandtpark als Erasmuspark (hier heb je zelfs een plek speciaal voor honden!) vandaan wat een ideale omgeving is om erop uit te gaan. Ook werken we allebei grotendeels thuis en zijn we ontzettend flexibel, waardoor we veel aandacht hebben voor oppashonden of makkelijk langs kunnen komen voor een wandeling. We hebben verder geen voorkeur voor een bepaalde dag of hoeveelheid dagen, mits we genoeg tijd hebben om het in te plannen. Ashley heeft een aantal jaar geleden met haar eigen Shi-Tzu en Chihuahua een nestje gehad, en dus ervaring met zowel het opvoeden van (zeer) jonge puppies als omgang met senioren. Natuurlijk is iedereen hond anders, maar we zijn er erg van bewust waar verschillende rassen en leeftijden aan toe zijn (en waar niet!). Last but not least, staan we er allebei voor open om natuurlijk even (digitaal of thuis) kennis te maken. We snappen dat het best spannend kan zijn. If I didn't need the money I would do it for free

Hi there! I've always been passionate about animals and I even became a vegetarian because of that. My boyfriend introduced me to PETBNB to fill in the void of not being with my own dogs while I couldn’t bring them to the Netherlands. Unfortunately I am not able to look after your dog in my own house, but I have no problem going to yours and make your puppies few as safe as they possibly can in their own environment. I have a positive approach so I don’t believe that being aggressive and showing yourself as an “alpha” is really effective. I have experience with cats and I don't have a problem with any breeds or reactive dogs, I have one myself so I know what it’s like and how to make them more comfortable. It’s all about the baby steps! I will give cuddles and pet them all day even if my hands fall off (if they like it, of course). I promise you that I can take care of your baby as if it was mine! While sitting I usually take a LOT of pictures to show you what are we up to, so I recommend saving a little space on your phone for the thousand pictures I will send you haha (I’m not joking).
