I had 3 years of experience taking care of my dog and cat when I lived at my parents’ place, before that I had experience pet sitting my grandparents’ dog. Now I also have experience pet sitting dogs at my current place for short term (2-3 days) and a bit longer period (3 weeks), and it has been working quite well. When I am spending time with dogs, usually I will take them to parks or somewhere peaceful and full of nature. I will play balls (or their favorite toys) with them, and let them walk/run as much as they want. I always bring a water bottle, wet cleaning paper, and a trash bag with me, so when dogs are thirsty, I can give them water, or when they get dirty, I can clean them with the wet paper, and after they poop, I will pick it up and put it in the trash bag. It’s important to make our little friends feel happy, relaxed, and content, while keeping the environment clean. With cats I am quite experienced, because I spent almost everyday with my cat during Covid. We shared the bed together every night, and I love giving him massages and petting his little belly. I am quite sensitive to cats’ abnormal behaviors, so if anything goes wrong I can notice very fast. I find cats very lovable and healing, and luckily cats usually find me trustworthy. My room is 27 square meters, and I have a big living room, so there will be enough space for cats/dogs. Besides, there is a beautiful park near my place. If you need someone to take care of your pets, I highly recommend myself :)

Ruby was very sweet with Scotty. Took great care of him and sent me reassuring pictures when I left him with her for a couple of days. Would highly recommend her.

She doesn't have enough experience with dogs and has very questionable decisions. She gave too much treat to our dog which made her vomit. She didn't inform us about it, told us everything is good. After taking Gigi back, we noticed that Gigi's bed is covered with vomit and there was vomit stains on all her body. Apparently she let her sleep in vomit and didn't clean the bed and Gigi. Another unusual thing was that she decided not to take off her leash because she didn't want to "hurt her". So she thought that leaving her on the leash for 6 days is a good idea. She took it off only after we insisted. All in all, I don't think she knows how to take care of dogs.

Van kinds af aan ben ik opgegroeid met honden ( en andere dieren ) Mijn vader trainde politiehonden en we hadden altijd Golden Retrievers in huis. Naast honden hadden we ook paarden, schapen , konijnen , hamsters en katten. Een gezellige beestenboel dus. Inmiddels woon ik 25 jaar in Amsterdam Niet lang geleden is mijn hondje Dex Welsh terriër overleden. ik mis haar ontzettend. maar wil nog geen nieuwe hond. dit is wellicht een leuke afleiding. Een Welsh is geen ‘ makkelijk’ hondje op te voeden, dus ik heb met Dex veel geleerd bij verschillende hondentrainingen bij hondenschool de Gabber.Ik heb Dex alles aangeleerd met een klikker. Ze vond de behendigheidstraining ( dus over allerlei hindernissen/ tunnels etc door ) ontzettend leuk. Dex kon dit zelfs beter dan ik op een gegeven moment. Hier hebben wij geleerd goed naar elkaar te kijken en zelfs met handgebaren wist ze wat de bedoeling was. Ontzettend leerzaam voor zowel Dex als baas! Omdat ik veel cursussen gedaan heb met Dex weet ik veel over het gedrag van honden. Ik snap hoe spannend het is je hond aan een ‘ vreemde ‘ mee te geven. Wees gerust, uw hond is in veilige, liefdevolle maar consequente handen bij mij! Naast honden heb ik ook ervaring. met het verzorgen van cavia’s, konijnen en katten. ( English? No problem ☺️) 🍀🐶 p.s. ik kan niet op vaste dagen in de week omdat ik zelf van maandag tot en met donderdag werk. Soms werk ik thuis. en dan kan ik de hond uitlaten. Dit kan dus in overleg.

Ik wandel heel graag met honden/katten en het is tegelijkertijd een momentje voor mezelf om naar buiten te kunnen tijdens het thuiswerken. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my bachelor's degree and have been enjoying life in Amsterdam for the past year as a junior consultant. Living close to Erasmuspark, I often find myself watching the adorable dogs playing and running around with their sitters, and I can't help but feel a little envious. I've always had a soft spot for animals. Growing up, I had a wonderful dog named Daisy, who was my companion until she sadly passed away when I was 14. More recently, my mom and I adopted a street cat named Cashew back in Istanbul. Both holds a special place in my heart. I live alone with Rosie (2.5 years old dachshund) in an apartment building, there are lots of grassy walking paths nearby and we often go for long walks everyday! We love to play and enjoy the fresh air. Dogs always have free range in my apartment and can enjoy sitting on the sofa, or cuddling in bed with me. There is always time for treats and fun games to keep them busy! It’s also possible that your dog gets walked separately and special attention 1:1 with them!
