Liefdevolle, ervaren én flexibele oppassers

[ENGLISH BELOW] Hi! Wij zijn Braden (27) en Ashley (28). Wij wonen sinds 2023 samen in Amsterdam, nadat Braden (Brits/Zuid-Afrikaans) is verhuisd naar Nederland. Wij hebben beide altijd verschillende soorten honden gehad en missen dit enorm nu wij zelf samen (nog) geen hond hebben. Daarom vinden we het superfijn om via deze manier anderen uit de brand te kunnen helpen én zelf omringd te blijven met viervoeters. Wij wonen 5 minuutjes van zowel Rembrandtpark als Erasmuspark (hier heb je zelfs een plek speciaal voor honden!) vandaan wat een ideale omgeving is om erop uit te gaan. Ook werken we allebei grotendeels thuis en zijn we ontzettend flexibel, waardoor we veel aandacht hebben voor oppashonden of makkelijk langs kunnen komen voor een wandeling. We hebben verder geen voorkeur voor een bepaalde dag of hoeveelheid dagen, mits we genoeg tijd hebben om het in te plannen. Ashley heeft een aantal jaar geleden met haar eigen Shi-Tzu en Chihuahua een nestje gehad, en dus ervaring met zowel het opvoeden van (zeer) jonge puppies als omgang met senioren. Natuurlijk is iedereen hond anders, maar we zijn er erg van bewust waar verschillende rassen en leeftijden aan toe zijn (en waar niet!). Last but not least, staan we er allebei voor open om natuurlijk even (digitaal of thuis) kennis te maken. We snappen dat het best spannend kan zijn. We have been living together in Amsterdam since 2023, after Braden (British/South African) moved to the Netherlands. We've both always had different types of dogs in our lives and miss it greatly now that we don't (yet) have one of our own. That's why we're really happy to be able to help others by offering dog-sitting services, while surrounding ourselves by dogs. We live just 5 minutes away from both Rembrandtpark and Erasmuspark (which even has a special area for dogs!), making it the perfect environment for outings. We both work mostly from home and are very flexible, meaning we can give a lot of attention to any dogs we’re looking after or easily drop by for a walk. We don’t have a preference for specific days or number of days, as long as we have enough time to plan accordingly. A few years ago, Ashley raised a litter with her own Shih Tzu and Chihuahua, so she has experience with both raising very young puppies and caring for senior dogs. Of course, every dog is different, but we are very aware of the unique needs of different breeds and ages. Energieke hondenliefhebber zoekt leuke oppashond

Ik ben mijn hele leven lang omringd met huisdieren thuis, waaronder twee hele lieve hondjes: Max en Lodewijk. Yorkshire terriër hondje Max hebben we nog een mooi laatste jaren kunnen geven toen we hem adopteerden, maar ook geleerd om met getraumatiseerde/bange honden om te gaan. Daarna kregen we puppy Lodewijk, een mix van Maltezer en Shih tzu, die ik heb mogen opvoeden en hondentrainingen mee heb gedaan. Na tien jaar is Lodie er niet meer en nu mis het enorm om soms voor een hond te zorgen, uit te laten, mee te spelen in Amsterdam. Ik ben dol op bijna elke soort hond, maar als het mogelijk is om op te passen op een teckel zou dat geweldig zijn. Ik denk graag mee in hoe de veiligheid van de hond verbeterd kan worden zodat er vertrouwen is van beide kanten zowel thuis als tijdens het uitlaten. Een goede voorbereiding is het halve werk ;) Momenteel ben ik veel beschikbaar en lijkt het me heel leuk om die tijd te besteden aan oppassen op honden. Dus zoek je een energiek, lief en betrouwbare oppas die weet hoe ze met honden omgaat en grenzen kan stellen, neem dan vooral contact op met mij!

Dierenvilla op de Herengracht 🐾

Vanaf jongs af aan altijd al in vriendenboekjes geschreven dat ik ‘iets met dieren’ wilde doen later. Ook elke verjaardag en Sinterklaas gesmeekt om een hond. Nu al 14 jaar een hond en sinds 7 jaar een tweede, beide bij mijn ouders. Ik mis ze wel als ik in mijn studentenstad ben en daarom bij PetBnB gekomen! Kan ook erg goed met katten, in mijn studentenhuis in Utrecht altijd een kat gehad. Ik vind het leuk om om dieren heen te zijn en krijg er altijd energie van. Zelf ben ik sportief, zorgzaam en lief. Met dieren houd ik van knuffelen, lange wandelingen buiten, spelen en lekker samen op de bank liggen. If time permits and if your dog is up for it, we love going to the forest or the beach. The appartment isn’t huge but well catered for a dog, and we love playing and training with dogs as well. The house is only accessible by stairs.

Tesse and Tim alternated the walks with - and care for - Felan. He loved them equally. On the pictures sent by Tesse an Tim is clearly visible that Felan had a great time when they sat him. Communication went smoothly, all in all I can only hope that we can prolongue this petsitting arrangement in the future.
