Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats and horses and have been actively caring for animals since I was very young. Our family dogs included an Italian Greyhound, Tibetan Spaniel and Chihuahua, and I also had my own cat who came into our family the same week I was born and stayed with us for 21 years, so I truly grew up alongside him. I now also regularly pet sit through Petbnb and have looked after dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities, both for daycare and overnight stays. I love getting to know each dog's individual routine and personality and making their stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible. I’m always happy to send photos and little updates so you can see what your pet has been up to. 🐾 I also grew up around much larger dogs, as my grandmother was a Rottweiler breeder for around 10 years. For about six years, I regularly helped by taking her Rottweilers on walks 1–3 times a week, so I became comfortable around bigger and stronger dogs from a young age. I have experience with puppies and kittens, adults and seniors, including shy animals and pets that need a little more patience and time to feel comfortable. I’m affectionate, calm and attentive, but I also love playing and being active with energetic dogs. Long walks are one of my favourite parts of dog sitting! I live very close to Sloterpark and lots of nature, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and outdoor time. I’m happy to go on longer walks with active dogs, but equally happy to spend the day playing, cuddling or simply keeping a more relaxed pet company at home. Pets are very welcome to stay with me, which is actually my preferred option. I live with my partner in a spacious three-bedroom apartment with a large balcony, and we don't have any pets of our own, so your pet will get plenty of attention and space to feel at home. I’m most comfortable with small and medium-sized dogs, although I also have experience with larger breeds. I’m happy to care for puppies, energetic dogs, seniors and dogs that need a little extra time to warm up. I also have lots of experience with cats and am comfortable with feeding, litter boxes, playtime and both affectionate and more independent personalities. Since moving abroad, having my own pet hasn't suited my lifestyle, and having animals around is something I genuinely miss. Pet sitting gives me the best of both worlds, I get to have that companionship again while giving someone else's pet lots of love, attention and some very good walks. ❤️

Ik pas graag op jouw hond!

Hoi! 🐶 Ik ben op zoek naar leuke honden om op te passen en ze de aandacht, liefde en beweging te geven die ze verdienen. Ik heb zelf nog geen ervaring als professionele hondenoppas, maar ik ben wel dol op honden en vind het ontzettend leuk om tijd met ze door te brengen. Ik ben rustig, verantwoordelijk en vind het belangrijk dat een hond zich veilig en op zijn gemak voelt. Ik pas graag op in overleg, zowel bij jou thuis als bij mij thuis. Bij mij thuis is een hond ook van harte welkom. Ik heb een serre die toegankelijk is voor de hond en die is afgeschermd met een glazen wand. Uiteraard ga ik er ook graag lekker op uit voor wandelingen in nabij gelegen parken en zorg ik ervoor dat de hond voldoende aandacht en beweging krijgt. Ik leer graag bij en vind het belangrijk om vooraf goed af te stemmen wat jouw hond nodig heeft, zodat je met een gerust gevoel je hond aan mij kunt toevertrouwen! 🐾

Loving, experienced & always up for a walk 🐾

Growing up, I was lucky enough to share my daily life with many dogs and cats of different breeds and sizes, so having a furry companion around is part of who I am. I’ve always loved spending time with them and since moving to the Netherlands, it’s something I’ve really missed… Although I’m not able to have a dog of my own just yet, caring for four-legged being is something that brings me a lot of joy. I’m an avid hiker and enjoy being outdoors, so I’m very happy to go on long walks and play together. I also appreciate quieter moments, so I’m equally happy to spend a relaxed afternoon or evening at home. Fortunately, my apartment complex has a fenced communal garden where dogs are welcome and there are several parks and great walking areas nearby just waiting to be explored! 😊 I mainly have experience with friendly and social dogs, but I’m also very open to dogs with different personalities to adapt to their individual routines and needs.

Animal lover raised at a farm

I grew up on a farm in the north of the Netherlands, surrounded by animals from day one. We had a dog, several cats, chickens, a rabbit, sheep, and even a donkey. I've also done horse riding and I still go riding whenever I'm on holiday. Taking care of animals, playing with them, and just being around them has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it's something I genuinely love. These days I live in an apartment in Amsterdam, so I don't have pets of my own, but I really miss having animals around. That's exactly why I want to pet sit: it lets me spend time with dogs and cats again and gives them the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away, and honestly, it's mostly for me too, I just want to be surrounded by animal presence again. I'm comfortable adapting to each pet's own needs, whether that's following a specific feeding schedule, giving medication, walking a high-energy dog, keeping an anxious or older pet calm, or cleaning litter boxes for cats. I offer feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, medication administration, and overnight stays. I'm happy to sit at your home, whether it's for a day or overnight. Hosting at my own place isn't ideal since I live in a two-story building, so I prefer coming to yours.

Gezellig adresje in Zaandam

Sinds 2 jaar hebben wij zelf een Maltipoo teefje en vinden het leuk om af en toe op te passen op een extra hondje. Graag zou ik er een 2de hondje bij willen maar doordat onze Rosie niet naar elke oppas kan, is dat wat lastig. zij is een beetje bang voor sommige andere honden dus een kennismaking voor het oppassen js belangrijk! Vanaf kleins af aan ben ik met honden opgegroeid dus altijd een hondenliefhebber geweest. Onze voorkeur gaat uit naar een niet te grote hond en goed opgevoed/getraind omdat dit vaak het beste samen gaat met Rosie. Wij wonen in een ruitjeswoning met tuin en vlakbij het Darwinpark om lekker te kunnen wandelen.

I understand how important it is to make them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. When I lived in Spain, I volunteered at dog shelters, and while I was in Colombia, I was part of an association that fed stray dogs. I’m a fitness instructor at SportCity, so I’m naturally very active and enjoy movement and being outdoors. Lief, zorgzaam en dol op honden!

Mijn eerste woorden als kind waren: “Mag ik alsjeblieft een hond?” Sindsdien is mijn liefde voor honden eigenlijk nooit meer weggegaan. Ze maken me ontzettend blij! Liefdevol thuis bij hondenliefhebbers

Honden zijn altijd onderdeel van mijn leven geweest. Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en heb een enorme liefde voor dieren. Mijn vriendin en ik werken allebei vanuit huis, waardoor er vrijwel altijd iemand aanwezig is om gezelschap, aandacht en een lekkere wandeling te geven.
