Loving home away from home 🩵

I am a former pet owner, have grown up with a wonderful labrador, and have looked after cats and dogs for most of my life. My boyfriend and I have a cute apartment in Amsterdam Noord, we have a flowerful balcony, and lots of love to give. There are lots of areas/park where your pets can enjoy themselves close to our home. I work from home most of the time, and would love to have some furry company. Due to travelling we’re unfortunately unable to have a pet ourselves, but petsitting would fill that void! Animal lover raised at a farm

I grew up on a farm in the north of the Netherlands, surrounded by animals from day one. We had a dog, several cats, chickens, a rabbit, sheep, and even a donkey. I've also done horse riding and I still go riding whenever I'm on holiday. Taking care of animals, playing with them, and just being around them has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it's something I genuinely love. These days I live in an apartment in Amsterdam, so I don't have pets of my own, but I really miss having animals around. That's exactly why I want to pet sit: it lets me spend time with dogs and cats again and gives them the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away, and honestly, it's mostly for me too, I just want to be surrounded by animal presence again. I'm comfortable adapting to each pet's own needs, whether that's following a specific feeding schedule, giving medication, walking a high-energy dog, keeping an anxious or older pet calm, or cleaning litter boxes for cats. I offer feeding, walks, playtime, grooming, medication administration, and overnight stays. I'm happy to sit at your home, whether it's for a day or overnight. Hosting at my own place isn't ideal since I live in a two-story building, so I prefer coming to yours.

Sinds 2 jaar hebben wij zelf een Maltipoo teefje en vinden het leuk om af en toe op te passen op een extra hondje. Graag zou ik er een 2de hondje bij willen maar doordat onze Rosie niet naar elke oppas kan, is dat wat lastig. zij is een beetje bang voor sommige andere honden dus een kennismaking voor het oppassen js belangrijk! Vanaf kleins af aan ben ik met honden opgegroeid dus altijd een hondenliefhebber geweest. Onze voorkeur gaat uit naar een niet te grote hond en goed opgevoed/getraind omdat dit vaak het beste samen gaat met Rosie. Ik heb vanaf groep 3 tot aan mijn laatste jaar op de middelbare school een bruine labrador gehad, die mis ik nog steeds elke dag! Liefdevol, enthousiast en zorgzaam

Ik vind alle hondjes even leuk en lief en hou ervan om lang te wandelen in het park, te knuffelen en veel te spelen. Ik heb een grasveld voor de deur en een park om de hoek dus dat is handig met uitlaten. Door de jaren heen heb ik op verschillende hondjes gepast. Een engelse Stafford, Australische herder, Beagle puppy, chihuahua puppy en ik pas regelmatig op de ruwharige dwergtackel van mijn tante. Ik vind grotere honden ook leuk maar heb daar wel iets minder ervaring mee en ze passen niet helemaal in mijn kleinere appartement. Hopelijk tot snel!

Vanaf kleins af aan ben ik opgegroeid met dieren!

Ik heb in het verleden naast mijn studie veel opgepast bij gezinnen die vaak ook een hond hadden, hierdoor heb ik veel ervaring opgedaan. Ik vond dit altijd leuk om te doen! Ik ben geduldig met honden en ik zal altijd mijn best doen om de hond op zijn gemak te stellen en het naar zijn zin te maken, want voor een hond is een nieuwe oppas best even wennen. Ik vind het leuk om naar een groot park te gaan waar de hond zich kan uitleven. Kortom ik ben op gek op dieren en in het specifiek op honden.
