[English version below] Wij (mijn man, een zoon uit 2008 en een dochter uit 2011 en ik) vangen graag uw hond(en) op. Omdat we geen dieren van verschillende baasjes opvangen is uw hond verzekerd van een behandeling op maat. We kunnen ons aanpassen zoals uw hond het thuis gewend is, zodat de overgang minder groot wordt. Verder is het goed om te weten dat ik honden uitsluitend aangelijnd uitlaat. Zelf hebben we nooit honden gehad maar we hebben sinds de oprichting in 2018 al op meer dan 100 verschillende honden gepast: 1 groot feest :) Ik heb verschillende boeken gelezen over hondengedrag/lichaamstaal en hoe een hond gelukkig te maken. We hebben diverse hondenspeelgoed, knuffels, voer- en waterbakken in huis. Ik werk zelf parttime freelance vanuit huis en heb alle tijd om uw hond de aandacht te geven die hij of zij verdiend! In 2023 zijn we naar Saendelft (Assendelft) verhuisd, waar het heerlijk wandelen is met honden. De wijk wordt omzoomd door een dijk waar verder geen verkeer is en dus naar hartenlust gesnuffeld kan worden. Daar neem ik dan ook graag de tijd voor! ;) In 2026 heb ik de cursus EHBO voor huisdieren met goed gevolg afgrond. Hierdoor ben ik staat om: * Vermoedelijke botbreuken bij huisdieren te herkennen en hier correct op te reageren * Teken te voorkomen, verwijderen en de risico's in te schatten * Ogen veilig uit uitspoelen bij lichte oogirritaties * Kleine oorbeschadigingen te behandelen en een tijdelijk verband aan te brengen * Een tourniquet te gebruiken om ernstige bloedingen te stoppen * Een geïmproviseerde muilkorf voor een hond te maken * Een tijdelijk pootverband aan te leggen * Een klinisch onderzoek uit te voeren Nieuw! Sinds kort leggen we ook huisbezoeken af voor katten, konijnen, vogels, reptielen, knaagdieren en vissen. We hebben 19 jaar lang een kat gehad, die helaas overleden is in 2026. Verder hebben we hamsters, gerbils, konijnen en een aquarium gehad. Het is ook mogelijk knaagdieren, reptielen, vogels en konijnen bij ons te laten logeren in hun eigen verblijf, zodat ze voldoende aandacht krijgen en zelf vinden wij dit ook een stuk gezelliger! We kunnen hier een apart ruimte voor reserveren zodat ze niet in aanraking komen met eventueel aanwezige honden. Let op: we passen niet op honden jonger dan 1 jaar, op zogenaamde hoog risico honden, wel ben ik bereid om deze honden uit te laten. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We (my husband, a son born in 2008, a daughter born in 2011, and I) are happy to look after your dog(s) and cat(s). Because we do not care for animals from different owners, your dog or cat is assured of personalized care. We can adapt to what your pet is used to at home, so that the transition is less abrupt. Furthermore, it is good to know that I only walk dogs on a leash. We have never owned dogs ourselves, but since the start in 2018, we have looked after over 100 different dogs: one big party :) I have read various books on dog behavior/body language and how to make a dog happy. We have various dog toys, plush toys, and food and water bowls in the house. I work part-time freelance from home and have all the time to give your animal the attention he or she deserves! In 2023, we moved to Saendelft (Assendelft), where it is wonderful to walk dogs. The neighborhood is bordered by a dike with no traffic, so dogs can sniff around to their heart's content. I am happy to take the time for that! ;) In 2026, I successfully completed the First Aid course for pets. This enables me to: * Recognize suspected bone fractures in pets and respond correctly * Prevent and remove ticks and assess the risks * Safely rinse eyes in case of minor eye irritation * Treat minor ear injuries and apply a temporary bandage * Use a tourniquet to stop severe bleeding * Make an improvised muzzle for a dog * Apply a temporary paw bandage * Perform a clinical examination New! We now also offer home visits for cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, rodents, and fish. We owned a cat for 19 years, who sadly passed away in 2026. Over the years, we have also kept hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, and an aquarium. It is also possible for rodents, reptiles, birds, and rabbits to stay with us in their own enclosures; this ensures they receive plenty of attention, and we find it much more enjoyable, too! We can set aside a separate space for them so that they do not come into contact with any dogs that might be present. Please note: we do not sit dogs younger than 1 year old, or so-called high-risk dogs; however, I am willing to walk these dogs.

Meeting your pet’s needs with empathy and care

I have been a dog owner myself, as well as I have volunteered in an animal shelter for 2 years, so I am incredibly fond of dogs, cats and all other kinds of pets. As I am now a student who has moved away from home (so away from my family pets as well), I miss having animals around a lot. Additionally, since I’ve encountered all sorts pets in all sorts of states and traits, I take the time to introduce myself first, figure out the animal’s needs and only then move further with the care. I have 7 years of experience in taking care of dogs and cats, including the experience at the shelter. I have no preference for pets I sit, as well as I am rather flexible with my schedule - I can be available mornings, afternoons and evenings. I am a loving, gentle and caring sitter, described as "the one that has a way with animals." I find walking and/or sitting them genuinely pleasurable, so I always try to make the visits as warm as possible. Nonetheless, I am aware of the responsibility such care entails and make sure to do everything in my power to avoid any kind of negligence. When petsitting/boarding, I send regular photo updates, don’t leave the animals alone (unless allowed), walk them 3x a day and let them wander freely but safely around the apartment. I walk them regularly to provide toilet breaks as needed, but in cases of little accidents inside the apartment, I make sure to clean it up and generally to keep the pets in safe and higienic conditions. In addition to the > 15 minute walks, pets receive plenty of play time to fulfil their physical activity needs. I remain in consistent communication with the owners and feed/walk/provide medication/etc as instructed by the owners. I also spoil the pets with snacks, if allowed:) Fresh water is always available, as well food is provided as required by the owners. I try to stick to petsitting one animal at a time due to the stress different pets may cause to each other, but if allowed by the owners, I am always happy to sit a few animals at once. In case of an emergency, I will bring the pets to the vet or act in any other required manner as indicated by the owners. When dog walking, I take at least 30 minutes, keep my copy of the key safely, always check if everything is secured before leaving, dress the pet in provided attire if needed, carry the pets up/down the stairs if needed as well. During house visits, I spend at least an hour with the pets, playing with them and making sure they’re fed, walked and happy. I am also happy to house sit if that is preferred by the owners. If agreed in accordance with my schedule, I can house sit for an indefinite time. When house sitting, I always double check if everything is locked/turned off before leaving and/or night time. According to my regular clients, their pets are always excited to come back to my place - hope that would be the case with your pets as well:)

Dol op honden, 30+ jaar ervaring als hondenbaasje!

Hallo ik ben Karolina, 48 jaar, en dol op honden. Eigenlijk mijn hele leven honden gehad. Tot vorig jaar, toen is onze geliefde Sammy, een Engelse cocker spaniel helaas overleden. Sammy werd 17 jaar en 1 maand. We hebben na een jaar besloten om vanaf nu ons huis aan te bieden als logeerplek voor onze favoriete viervoeters. We beschikken over een grote tuin en wonen tegen het bos aan, daarnaast zijn we maar 15 fietsminuten van het strand verwijderd. Ik bied dus zowel bos- als strandwandelingen aan. Graag maken we spoedig kennis met uw geliefde viervoeter en in overleg zorgen we voor een liefdevol logeeradres. Tot snel! Belangrijk te vermelden is dat we een maximum van 2 honden hanteren. En in de regel reu en teefje, 2 teefjes maar zelden 2 reuen bij elkaar.

liefde volle dieren oppas

Ik heb als kind zelf altijd honden gehad en ze ook altijd uitgelaten en veel met ze geknuffeld en gespeeld. Zelf hebben wij een chihuahua gehad die hebben we helaas moeten laten inslapen. Pet Island is open!

Hoi! We are Nick and Lili. We speak Dutch, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese in both human and dog language ;) We live on a peaceful island on the border of Zaandam, in a special place close to the Zaanse Schans and the Natural Reserve Area of Kalverpolder, near Amsterdam. Although we don’t have our own dogs, we love animals, and are lucky to have a fun "fauna" here already: from a turtle that visits from time to time to all kinds of waterfowl. Our 'dogiculum': Nick was brought up in France and Spain, raised with a lot of Irish Setters. Lili, growing up in Brazil made her very familiar with all types of street and rescue dogs. After more than 3 years as dog sitters, we have the experience of over 100 happy clients. It has been an educational journey for us learning about dogs, their various quirks and and getting to know so many different dogs and becoming a part of their lives. We now believe dogs have a unique experience here, as they can exist in near total freedom, in a pack, playing, foraging, chilling or even sleeping together, and with our near constant near-presence. That's how we reached progressively this “spa-like” bubble environment, where dogs can socialize and/or relax at their will. If we have only one guest, they stay with us in the main house of course. Some extra info: . Our island has 3 main buildings, one of them is the guesthouse transformed into a doggyhouse. It’s surrounded by a big 'foresty garden’ and the super clean air. They have a fenced and safe area at their disposition for playing and lounging outside. . As we both work from home, we have lots of time and love for our guests, and so they are usually supervised 24/7. . Walks are included as they have access to the garden whenever we go walking throughout the island's interwoven paths. . We do not take dogs that are either too anxious, protective or aggressive (ie. Loving home away from home 🩵

I am a former pet owner, have grown up with a wonderful labrador, and have looked after cats and dogs for most of my life. In onze keukendeur zit een klein dierenluikje, waardoor kleine honden zelfstandig naar binnen en buiten kunnen lopen (ideaal voor honden die van een beetje vrijheid houden!) 😉 Bij ons krijgen jouw honden niet alleen goede zorg, maar ook liefde, aandacht en knuffels. Of ze nu overdag komen spelen of ’s nachts blijven logeren, ik zorg ervoor dat ze zich hier thuis en gelukkig voelen. ❤️ Ik kijk er enorm naar uit om jouw hond(en) te leren kennen! Our dog stayed with Linda for a day while we visited various museums. Everything went really well, from communication to reliability. We didn’t have a meet-and-greet beforehand and went straight to the handover. Linda kept us updated with photos throughout the day, so we could see how our dog was doing. Your dog’s bestfriends

We both grew up with dogs around us and love to spend time with them. We have taken care of other dogs during our master’s studies and had a great time. I’ve loved animals especially cats and dogs since I was young. I cared for my Pomeranian, Twinkie, for 14 wonderful years, which taught me patience, responsibility, and how to understand a pet’s needs and personality. I’ve also spent a lot of time around cats at my grandparents’ home, learning how to care for different temperaments. I truly enjoy playing with pets, keeping them active, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I give each pet my full attention and care for them as if they were my own. I look forward to many more interactions with them!

Eugene and his wife took great care of both my dogs and they are lot the easiest, they communicated very well and sent pictures throughout the boarding days and gave me a lot of peace of mind. I cannot recommended them enough.
