Playful, loving, down-to-earth & good communicator

I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I work in the fashion industry in a creative job. - I currently work full time and commute, so only my weekends are available. - We have an elevator in our building, if we are dog sitting in our apartment.

Your pooch's new best friend near Flevopark

Hello from a local dog lover and enthusiast! I have loved dogs for all of my life, and had my own (Captain, a rescued mutt) since I was 12 years old. Although I've only sporadically had a dog in my own vicinity since then, I spent a few months dog-sitting a doberman during a workaway two years ago, and spent this summer on a husky kennel in Tana, Norway caring for and doing the daily routines of 47 huskies (including 4 puppies and 11 yearlings). My experience with dogs I would consider wide-ranging, and I am so happy to hang out with dogs as it really brings me the greatest joy. I have a cosy and relatively large flat which I share with my roommate who is a horseback-rider and fellow animal lover and enthusiast. This means that your pooch will get a 2-for-1 deal and friend in us both (although the dog would be my responsibility and remain in my space mostly). However, as there are two of us, and I live in a building with many friends nearby, the dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. I am a student with a schedule that is heavy on Mondays and Thursdays, with the other days all 'off' (and a 3 hour course on Wednesdays), meaning I have plenty of free time to watch after and hang out with a canine companion. Additionally, there is always someone nearby should there be an emergency that needs tending to, and my uni is a 6 minute walk from the flat, for extra insurance.

And of course I will sent you photo/video/text updates so you are assured your furry sweetheart has the best time ever. Your dog will be walked at least two to three times a day (depending on how long the sitting lasts). Your pup may be left alone 2 hours max. There are no other pets in my home. I live on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so be aware your dog needs to be able to take stairs or is fine with being carried. My home is near the Vondelpark so I am well situated to take your pupper to enjoy some exercise and fresh air. Please, feel free to reach out to me. Dog walking

1- 1,5 uur wandeling

Elke dag maakt ik samen met mijn hond (Podenco) een mooie uitgebreide wandeling in diverse gebieden. Het lijkt mij erg leuk om deze wandeling te vergezellen met honden die dit ook erg leuk vinden en dit ook goed kunnen gebruiken. De wandeling wordt ervaren als een van de leukste dingen op de dag. Ik kies elke dag zorgvuldig weer een andere route waardoor het elke dag weer een nieuw avontuur wordt. Bij voorkeur kies ik de wat rustigere gebieden op waardoor ik mij vaak alleen waan met de hond. Dit vind ik heerlijk! Mijn hond is een adoptie-hond Podenco uit Spanje en heb ik vanaf pup. Ik ben helemaal in het honden gedrag gedoken en heb direct een 12 weken cursus praktijk en theorie gedaan. Hier heb ik enorm veel geleerd en is de band met mijn hond versterkt. Het samenzijn gaat nu zo natuurlijk dat ik voel dat ik er best nog 1 of 2 bij kan hebben tijdens het wandelen. Ik ben opzoek naar de wat makkelijkere honden om uit te laten die over het algemeen vrolijk gestemd zijn en makkelijk in de omgang zijn met andere honden en mensen. Honden die een lange mooie wandeling erg kunnen waarderen waardoor ze daarna heerlijk kunnen slapen.

Onze kinderen vragen al jaren om een hond. We zijn bang voor de vroege ochtendverplichting. Dit is ons compromis. Hoi allemaal, zoals iedereen op deze website ben ook ik gek op honden :) Ik heb zelf een Boomer en Labrador gehad. Ik kan niet wachten om weer een thuis te geven aan een nieuwe hond. Beste Hondenbaasjes, Mijn naam is Brend en zo lang ik mij kan herinneren was er altijd al een hond in mijn omgeving. Na het stappen lag ze op mij te wachten, op vakantie sprong ze achter mij aan in het water. Frisbeen was onze lievelings wandeling of we gingen lekker uitwaaien op het strand. Nu ik al een tijd niet meer bij mijn ouders woon wordt het gemis van een hond steeds groter. Tuurlijk kan ik naar mijn ouders reizen om de hond te zien maar het lijkt me geweldig om een uitlaat maatje te hebben in de stad. Bij deze wil ik graag in contact komen met baasjes die hulp nodig hebben bij het uitlaten van hun viervoeter. Ik zou graag een wekelijkse ochtend(en) of een wekelijks avond rondje willen wandelen. Brend was super nice you can tell he really likes dogs. Something super important is that he can definitely handle big strong dogs, he had no problems with my boxer which sometimes can be very stubborn and not easy to walk. 100% recommended and I would definitely repeat if I need someone to walk or look after my dog on Thursdays.
