Honden zijn mijn leven, letterlijk en figuurlijk!

Ik ben af en toe beschikbaar om een hond uit te laten, maar niet als vaste uitlaatservice. Ook is het mogelijk om een hond of meerdere honden tijdelijk in huis te nemen, mits deze wel samen gaan met onze eigen hond. Ik ben buschauffeur van beroep en werk dus onregelmatig. Hierdoor ben ik niet altijd beschikbaar en ook niet elke week op een zelfde dag of tijd. Ik heb zelf vier Border collies, waarvan 1 bij mij in huis woont, de andere bij mijn ouders. Maar in mijn omgeving heb ik ook Westies, Rottweilers, Jack russells, Chihuahuas, Shelties en een Amerikaanse Bulldog. Ik doe zelf met mijn honden verschillende sporten en trainingen en ik ben eigenlijk altijd met ze bezig! Ik vind honden fantastische en fascinerende dieren en ik val ook meestal snel in de smaak bij alle honden. Ik heb altijd heel snel een klik en weet eigenlijk bijna zeker wat ze denken en voelen. Ik voel ze heel goed aan en daarom laat ik ook met een gerust hart de zogenaamde "hoog risico honden" uit. Ik weet wat ik moet doen mocht er iets mis gaan en ik kan vaak de hond goed "lezen" waardoor ik vaak zie wanneer iets fout gaat zodat ik daarvoor nog kan reageren om het niet fout te laten gaan.

I kept a dog in my family for almos five years, but she died due to ingestion of poisonous rat. I still miss the warm experience with her and she really enjoyed me touching her belly. She is like a supporter especially when I feel depressed. After I came to Delft and moved into a small apartment, I think the small living space is not good for a pet, so I didn’t keep one like before. However, I still would like to take care of them and play with them, they are just kids in my eyes. The time I play with them is the most relaxing period when I could get rid of stress and just enjoy accompany.

For us, it’s their stay, their way! We allow them on the bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to. We always keep the water bowl full and pets happy and healthy. Our preference is always to look after your pet at your home, for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, your pet doesn’t have to suffer any stress due to a change in environment, they can keep doing what they do in the comfort of their own home :) secondly, if we housesit we can also make sure that alls well with the house itself :) we can sometimes arrange to keep your pet at our apartment, but this is not ideal for them in our opinion. We are both flexible with our schedules, so hopefully we should be able to help you out ! At the moment, Karina has a day job while Keir works in the evenings, so there’s always someone around for your pets needs :) We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your special friends :)

Karina stayed in our house to look after our dog, McGregor, and cat, Greyton, over a period of five days. She was very accommodating of our needs and extremely kind and attentive to our pets, and stayed in communication with us every day. We came back to find the house was spotless and the animals very happy indeed! I recommend Karina whole-heartedly and without any reservation!

Dieren waren altijd mijn nummer 1

Sinds dat ik klein ben hou ik van dieren. Alle soorten dieren, al zijn het vissen, papegaaien, konijnen, ratjes en noem maar op. Ik heb veel ervaring met dieren, sinds dat ik drie ben zijn er altijd dieren in mijn huis geweest. Ik heb ervaring met, konijnen, kittens en katten, honden, parkietjes, vissen, ratjes en hamsters. Dieren zijn mijn passie, ik heb op het moment 1 hond en 2 katten. Helaas is mijn hond wel bij mijn moeder gebleven omdat ze vond dat ik de twee katten al mocht meenemen. Het zijn twee gesteriliseerde vrouwtjes die goed omkunnen gaan met andere dieren. Ik heb voor een maand voor de katten voor een vriendin opgepast, ze woonde bij mij met mijn katten. Ik heb heel veel liefde voor dieren, ze maken mij onwijs blij en rustig. Ik ben van plan om later een dierenasiel te openen omdat ik zo een fan ben van dieren. Ik voel de dieren aan, wat ze nodig zouden hebben en kijk goed naar hun lichaamstaal. Ik hou rekening met wat ze fijn vinden en wat niet. Ik zou ook weten hoe ik kleine puppy's of kittens kan verzorgen, ik heb namelijk voor een maand 2 kittens opgevoed waarvan de moeder is helaas overleden. Verder heb ik meerdere nestjes verzorgd van katten. Ik heb ook nog mijn vriend thuis, hij is ook een dierenliefhebber, zorgt goed voor elk dier die ik mee naar huis heb genomen. :)

I've taken care of both our own and friends pets, both cats and dogs. I have a pretty laid back schedule for work and can plan in walks at any time of the day really, mornings preferably not before 8am, can do afternoon and evenings. The walks are usually 30-45 minutes long, also depending on what the dog requires, some play time, cuddles. I am usually not free on Mondays as I'm in the office, but I can spend time with your pet in the evenings. I'd love to go on more walks during the day and hence I’d love to spend some time with your pet. I currently can't have any dogs, but would love to in the future. I will take care of your pet as if it were my own, I will send you pictures of them during my daily visits and or walks.
