Hi pet parents, lovely to meet you! I'm Nina, 28 years old, and I grew up here in The Hague. About me I grew up with two dogs and three cats, and I've always loved taking care of them. For the last two years, while living in Amsterdam, I had two regular addresses that asked me to look after their dogs during workdays, weekends away and holidays. Since I've moved, they still bring their dogs to me when they go away for a longer holiday, but of course much less frequent now. Now that I'm all settled back in The Hague, I'd love to find a new address. In the past, I've worked as a nanny for five years, and I bring the same warmth and communication skills to pet sitting. I'm currently living on Javastraat with my boyfriend. He's 29 years old, really kind and loves dogs as well. He has a labradoodle back home with his parents. I'm working as a communication consultant for the government and often work from home. Jasper (the boyfriend) also has an office job, but he works at the actual office much more often. About the apartment The house is a calm place, as there are no other pets or children. Luckily, the Scheveningse Bosjes (meaning lots of fun and plenty of other dogs!) are just around the corner. If the schedule allows and they feel comfortable enough, I also love going for a walk on the beach. Important: the apartment is on the first floor. The staircase is very doable (it's not steep), but it's good to know. Practicalities - I'm flexible with my availability. - The response rate on my profile might be low because it was inactive. When I was living in Amsterdam, I found two addresses that regularly asked me to dog-sit for them. I've moved back to The Hague, and now that I'm all settled in, I'm looking forward to finding a new pet-sitting address. I raised my Labrador Retriever for three years, from puppyhood to adulthood. Caring for him day in and day out taught me great patience and understanding of a dog's daily needs. Except for special circumstances, I spent over two hours every day on walks and playing at the park, where he happily socialized with other dogs.This regular park time allowed me to interact with many different dogs. Additionally, my volunteer work with an animal protection association gave me valuable experience caring for rescued stray dogs. We have been looking after pets for 7 years now, and in that time we’ve looked after dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities and quirks, so we are able to meet any challenge :) You can be sure that any instructions and specific requirements your loved one needs will be done as asked ! For us, it’s their stay, their way! We allow them on the bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to. We always keep the water bowl full and pets happy and healthy. Our preference is always to look after your pet at your home, for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, your pet doesn’t have to suffer any stress due to a change in environment, they can keep doing what they do in the comfort of their own home :) secondly, if we housesit we can also make sure that alls well with the house itself :) we can sometimes arrange to keep your pet at our apartment, but this is not ideal for them in our opinion. We are both flexible with our schedules, so hopefully we should be able to help you out ! At the moment, Karina has a day job while Keir works in the evenings, so there’s always someone around for your pets needs :) We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your special friends :)

Karina stayed in our house to look after our dog, McGregor, and cat, Greyton, over a period of five days. She was very accommodating of our needs and extremely kind and attentive to our pets, and stayed in communication with us every day. We came back to find the house was spotless and the animals very happy indeed! I recommend Karina whole-heartedly and without any reservation!

I'm Italian but have lived 20+ years in The Netherlands and 7 in Poland. I work twice a week Tuesday and Thursday Amsterdam and the rest at home. I love animals, what would life be without them. I have always had cats growing up, our first was when I was 1.5 years old, a beautiful Maine coon named CJ. I have had about 5 cats and a dog, and I feel like a lot of people don’t understand how amazing they are, how they show you how much they love you in the little things that they do. I currently live next to laan van noi with Milo (a European tuxedo short hair cat that loves food, he's the first one in my photos). At my parents place we have 2 cat brothers, pepito and super Mario, they are 10 years old, and Frida a Maltese, she is now 7 and loves being at the center of attention. I've taken care of both our own and friends pets, both cats and dogs. I have a pretty laid back schedule for work and can plan in walks at any time of the day really, mornings preferably not before 8am, can do afternoon and evenings. The walks are usually 30-45 minutes long, also depending on what the dog requires, some play time, cuddles. I am usually not free on Mondays as I'm in the office, but I can spend time with your pet in the evenings. I'd love to go on more walks during the day and hence I’d love to spend some time with your pet. I currently can't have any dogs, but would love to in the future. I will take care of your pet as if it were my own, I will send you pictures of them during my daily visits and or walks. Im happy to come over to feed and play with your pet, water any plants, and check the post, while making sure to respect the boundary of your pet, everyone has their own personality. The visits usually last about an hour. I'm happy to discuss any requests, and I can possibly stay at your place with your pet for the night, preferably not longer than 3-4 nights.
