Icelander who loves walks in nature and dogs

**Even though my calendar doesn't indicate this I can house sit for cat households over the whole week :) I'm an Icelander living in Rotterdam close to a very large park. I got my first dog when I was 7 years old (chihuahua) and the second one when I was 16. I'm from a small town in Iceland and have always loved all animals and nature. I have over the years watched over my own dogs, my sisters (French mastiff), grandma's (silky terrier) and other peoples dogs. I also have experience watching cats including s cute ragdoll that I watched for over a month last year. I like taking walks and would love to watch over your dog or cat. I'm mainly doing this to help you and your pet out and to get fresh air and quality time with the animals I love. I live in Blijdorp, Rotterdam and can take care of your pet from Thursday - Monday or longer if your pet can be left alone for 8 hours. I work as a civil engineering and commercial diver. I will keep my calendar up to date so it'll be clear when I'm free. I have experience with all sizes of dogs as I have owned chihuahuas, have been walking a husky for some time and my sister owns a mastiff. I have been working as a dog sitter in Delft for 4 years , so I have quite some experience. I have experience with house sitting where I've watched over all kinds of dogs an cats. I've taken care of rescue dogs (beagles rescued from a lab) that have anxiety and are scared of most people and over dogs with acid reflux problems. I do not have open for house sitting for the whole week as I can not take on dogs during the middle of the week. However, I can house sit for a cat household so feel free to contact me if that is something you are interesting in. I live in a big apartment in Rotterdam on the 3ʳᵈ floor ( 2 big balconies) and therefore if your dog would be staying with me it has to be light enough for me to carry or very used to walking up and down stairs. I also have a car that I can use to come for daycare visits or go to some nice parks with your dog if you would be comfortable with that.

Betrouwbaar, rustig en dol op honden

Hoi! Wij zijn Friso en Olga, een stel uit Leiden, en sinds een paar jaar is het delen van ons huis en dagelijks leven met dieren een heel natuurlijk onderdeel van onze routine geworden. OVER ONZE ERVARING: We hebben allebei ervaring met het verblijven bij mensen thuis om voor hun honden en katten te zorgen, én met het opvangen van huisdieren bij ons thuis. Het afgelopen jaar hebben we voor honden van allerlei rassen, groottes, leeftijden en met verschillende karakters gezorgd, van Pomeranians en Franse bulldogs tot labradors, retrievers en Ierse setters. We hebben ook ervaring met het tegelijkertijd verzorgen van meerdere honden, en natuurlijk met katten. Ieder dier is anders, en ontdekken wat elk van hen nodig heeft om zich prettig en op zijn gemak te voelen, is een van de dingen die we het leukst vinden aan dierenoppas. Olga heeft zelf tien jaar lang een Basenji gehad. Ze heeft hem vanaf puppy opgevoed en heeft daardoor veel praktische ervaring met alles wat komt kijken bij het leven met een onafhankelijk, intelligent en energiek ras: training, structuur, routines, gedrag en, misschien wel het allerbelangrijkste, geduld en consequent zijn. Friso heeft ruime ervaring met het verzorgen van honden en katten, zowel samen met Olga als zelfstandig. OVER ONZE ZORG: Wanneer een hond of kat bij ons verblijft, zien we hem of haar niet echt als een ‘gast’ die alleen gevoerd, uitgelaten en verzorgd moet worden. Zolang ze bij ons zijn, worden ze onderdeel van ons kleine gezin. Dieren om ons heen hebben voegt echt iets toe aan ons leven. We houden van de gezelligheid, liefde en het plezier dat ze met zich meebrengen, maar genieten ook van de verantwoordelijkheid en structuur die bij de dagelijkse verzorging horen. Wandelen, eten geven, medicatie wanneer dat nodig is, spelen, rust en het aanhouden van hun normale routine zijn voor ons geen onderbrekingen van de dag. Ze worden er gewoon onderdeel van. We weten dat het heel persoonlijk kan voelen om je huisdier aan iemand anders toe te vertrouwen. Daarom nemen we de routines en instructies van baasjes serieus. We proberen hun gebruikelijke eet-, wandel-, medicatie-, slaap- en huisroutines zo goed mogelijk te volgen, terwijl we ze ook de tijd en ruimte geven die ze nodig hebben om zich bij ons op hun gemak te voelen. Natuurlijk sturen we ook graag foto’s, video’s en kleine updates, zodat je kunt zien hoe het met ze gaat en hoe ze bij ons wennen. Wat we willen bieden is eigenlijk heel eenvoudig: een tweede thuis, bij mensen die het oprecht fijn vinden om jouw huisdier bij zich te hebben. Niet zomaar een plek waar je huisdier kan verblijven terwijl jij weg bent, maar een plek waar hij of zij zich veilig, betrokken en verzorgd kan voelen als onderdeel van het gezin. Als dit klinkt als het soort verblijf dat je voor je huisdier zoekt, maken we graag kennis met jou en je huisdier. P.S. Friso is moedertaalspreker Nederlands. Olga spreekt vloeiend Engels en is Nederlands aan het leren.

Charlie heeft twee weken bij Olga en Friso gelogeerd en we zijn heel tevreden. We kregen regelmatig foto’s en updates. De eerste week moest Charlie vanwege een wond een hondenkraag dragen, maar ook dat was geen enkel probleem. Bij het ophalen was Charlie rustig en ontspannen. Heel fijn om te zien dat hij het zo goed heeft gehad! We laten hem zeker weer met een gerust hart bij Olga en Friso logeren.

Liefde en passie voor uw hond

Ik heb veel persoonlijke aandacht voor de hond en heb veel ruimte buiten om te spelen. Shih tzu en Bordercollie en Yorkshire terrier zijn mijn favoriete honden.Ik heb zelf een hond Cocker spaniel .Hij is 6 maanden oud. Behalve mijn passie voor honden heb ik inmiddels ook veel kennis opgedaan over de hond en zijn gedrag omdat ik afgelopen twee jaar een opleiding heb gedaan als gedragstherapeute voor honden.Ik heb dit jaar ook Diploma zoals profesioneel PetSitter gehaald.(ze hangen op de muur in mijn thuis ;) Behalve gewoon oppassen kan ik daarom ook eventueel van hulp zijn voor de hond en zijn baasje als er problemen of moeilijkheden zijn met de hond.In 2025 heb ik ook en Hondentreiner diploma gedaan.Ik kan graag jouw hond treinen en troekjes leren :) Al enkele jaren komen er bij mij honden als hun baasje op vakantie is. Helaas was het afgelopen jaar erg rustig in verband met Corona.Ik heb Zowel in het weekend als door de weeks zijn de honden welkom.

Ik heb nu een aantal jaar als vrijwilliger gewerkt bij het Haags Dierencentrum, en heb hier met zowel honden als katten velen dagen doorgebracht. Het voordeel van een asiel is dat elke hond gelijk is, en dat je geen onderscheid maakt. Ik heb tijdens die jaren veel ervaring opgedaan met alle rassen honden en katten, en nog nooit een probleem gehad. Hi, I’m Rama and I live with my two sweet dogs, Canela, a rescue from Mexico, and Polly, a dachshund, in the center of The Hague. In our home, there is plenty of space for your furry friend. Canela is always excited to meet a new friend to play with. The apartment has a 10 m² terrace where our four-legged friends can play, and the house itself is spacious enough as well. I’m also very easygoing: being on the couch or bed is no problem at all. Besides having my own pets, I have a lot of experience looking after dogs and cats, especially my neighbors’ dogs when they were at work. I do currently have an injury in my hand, so at the moment I am not able to take care of large dogs. Since Canela loves to run, we go on long walks, and I really enjoy being outside. I also get along well with cats. I understand their need for space, but I’m always there for a cuddle or a moment of play when they want it. With me, your pets will get all the attention, love, and care they deserve! ⸻ Hi, ik ben Rama en ik woon samen met mijn twee lieve honden, Canela, een rescue uit Mexico, en Polly, een teckel, in het centrum van Den Haag. In ons huis is er genoeg ruimte voor jouw trouwe viervoeter. Canela staat altijd te popelen om een nieuw vriendje te ontmoeten om mee te spelen. Het appartement heeft een terras van 10 m² waar onze viervoeters lekker kunnen spelen, en ook binnen is het huis ruim genoeg. Daarnaast ben ik niet zo moeilijk: op de bank of op bed liggen is bij mij geen probleem. Naast mijn eigen huisdieren heb ik veel ervaring met het oppassen op honden en katten, vooral op de honden van mijn buren wanneer zij aan het werk waren. Wel heb ik momenteel een blessure aan mijn hand, waardoor ik op dit moment geen grote honden kan opvangen. Omdat Canela graag rent, maken we lange wandelingen. Ik geniet er zelf ook erg van om buiten te zijn. Ook met katten kan ik goed overweg. Ik begrijp dat zij behoefte hebben aan hun eigen ruimte, maar ik ben er altijd voor een knuffel of een speelmoment wanneer zij daar zin in hebben. Bij mij krijgen jouw huisdieren alle aandacht, liefde en zorg die ze verdienen!

Rama is zeer gastvrij, liefdevol voor je viervoeter en weet zich goed te verplaatsen in je huisgenoot. ook met zijn baasje kon ze prettig communiceren, en was ze zeer behulpzaam. kortom, een erg prettig adres om in vol vertrouwen je maatje achter te laten.

She kept me updated throughout the day with lots of cute photos, which I really appreciated! Ik heb van jongs af aan altijd thuis honden gehad en momenteel volg ik de opleiding tot kynologisch instructeur om mijn kennis over hondengedrag te vergroten. Door regelmatig voor verschillende honden te zorgen, vrijwilligerswerk bij HDC, de opleiding en mijn werk als uitlaatservice, heb ik ervaring met het wandelen en begeleiden van allerlei honden: van klein tot groot, van gehoorzaam tot uitdagender, en van goed plaatsbare honden tot honden met gedragsproblemen. Ik heb zelf sinds kort een rescue hondje geadopteerd en zal daardoor een kennismaking en proefdag instellen om te kijken of het klikt:)
