Hi there!

My name is Marcia, I'm 29, Portuguese, and currently living in Utrecht!

As an only child, I have had dogs and cats my entire life, mainly rescued ones. Growing up surrounded by pets shaped the person I am today and created a deep-seated passion for being around animals every day. Beyond my own pets, I have always volunteered at dog and cat shelters (both in Portugal and the Netherlands) to help as many animals as I can.

I am comfortable dealing with both dogs and cats of all temperaments. Throughout my years of volunteering and living with rescued animals, I’ve learned how to understand, educate, and care for animals with different behaviors and traumas. I am also the "go-to" person for my friends and family, frequently looking after their pets whenever they are away, so I am experienced in maintaining established routines and providing a stress-free environment.

In Utrecht, I live with my partner and our cat, Tahina (2), whom we adopted while I was volunteering for the regional cat shelter in Eindhoven, where we used to live.

I understand how hard it is to leave your best friend behind, and I promise to treat your pet with the same patience, safety, and abundance of love that I give my own.
