Hi, I'm Lara, and I've been around dogs and cats every day since I was four years old. Even at that age, I loved spending time with dogs of all sizes.
I got my own cat when I was eight, and here's a fun fact about her: she can sit and lie down on command. Four years ago, my Australian Shepherd Ella joined the family. We're a well-coordinated team, and she listens to every word I say. I have taught her around 30 tricks, and we have also done agility training together.
I love spending time with dogs and teaching them useful things that can also help their owners in everyday life. For example, I taught my dog to open drawers, bring her own harness, and pick up her leash. I am also enthusiastic about teaching young dogs good obedience.
I am currently doing an au pair year. So here in Groningen I have no pets living with me.
My host kid has now started school, so I definitely have time from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, since I don't have to look after her every day after school, I definitely have time until the evening two times a week. I am also always available on weekends.
There is a large park and forest right in front of our house, which is a great place to walk dogs.
I can walk the dog several times a day, mentally stimulate it with intelligence games, for example, exercise it, or do any other activities that are desired.
