Since leaving my parents place when I was 18, I have been craving to be able to take care of dogs. During my whole childhood I grew up around (big) dogs at my grandparent's house as well as at my home. My grandpa taught me the do's and don'ts and how to train them and I would regularly take care of their dogs as well as the dogs of family friends. From age 10 to 18 we also had a male German Sheppard at home who I always felt was my "bear" brother. I'm definitely the kind of guy who will stop in the middle of the street to chat with someone about their dog and ask if I can pet him/her. I'm not afraid of any type of dog and feel confident being able to impose myself when needed while remaining calm and respectful. I'm a sporty guy who goes outside a lot and likes to go for long walks in nature or a run - also with my friends or my girlfriend. I could play with dogs for hours. I currently live on the top floor of a spacious flat with rooftop in Oud West near most of the big parks including Westerpark, Rembrandtpark, Erasmuspark and Vondelpark. Regarding the prices and hours, I'm quite flexible and happy to discuss them with you as for me this is really more of a pleasure than a side job. I currently work at New Balance and am flexible to work from home whenever I want and to structure my days to my needs. IF I stay the night or spend hours at YOUR place, I will have to bring Desie with me. I can NOT host cats. I postively adore cats but Desie adores them as a form of hissing snack. As a particularly illustrative - i have a lot of experience with tame rats. This may be an option, but who would pay "for someone to watch a bunch of rats" ? I would like to evolve experience taking care of avids, such as crows, ravens, birds if prey - but that would a major undertaking. Parrots and such, I guess maybe...? In thirty five years I owned three french bulldogs, three white canadian shepherd, three bull terriers. I profess to having a very deep and sincere bond with nearly all dogs.
