Vanaf mijn geboorte tot aan mijn studeren hebben we altijd honden in huis gehad op de Veluwe. In mijn tijd op Aruba (10 jaar) heb ik in huishoudens gewoond waar ik mede voor meerdere (grote) honden heb gezorgd. (Bull Mastif, Deense Dogs, labrador, en verschillende geadopteerde straathonden). Het komt vaak voor dat honden heel blij zijn om mij te zien. Dat komt denk ik doordat ik een bepaalde rust uitstraal, respect voor ze heb en geen gekke dingen met ze doe. Mijn werkleven in Amsterdam is niet geschikt voor huisdieren maar ik kan wellicht wel zo nu en dan voor huisdieren van anderen zorgen.

Playful, loving, down-to-earth & good communicator

I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. Flexibele oppas, met een mopshondje thuis!

Hai hai! Ik ben Eline, en ik ben de moeder van Rebel. Rebel is een mopshondje geboren op 15-08-2016 Ik ben ontzettend blij met hem! Ik ben altijd al gek geweest op hondjes. Ik woon op de begane grond in Amsterdam met tuintje! Ik woon vlakbij het vondelpark waar ik vaak een lekkere wandeling maak met rebel. Ik pas zelf ook vaak op rebels beste vriend Sjaak een Chow Chow, Willem en Pixel de mopshondjes, flow de Jack Russel, Boyke een langharige teckel, Chief de Zwitserse Sennenhond van mijn werk en ik heb een tijdje op Zoë gepast, een witte herder. Ze zijn echt allemaal gek op elkaar! Rebel is de liefste en makkelijkste hond die ken. En kan het met alle hondjes goed vinden! Ik weet zeker dat het gezellig wordt! Rebel is een hele makkelijke hond wat betreft “alleen thuis blijven”. Dit heb ik hem aangeleerd door als ik thuis kwam meteen met hem naar buiten te gaan. Dit doe ik zelfs als ik alleen even boodschapjes ga doen. Thuiskomen betekent wandelen. Ik wandel elke dag minimaal 3 keer met rebel! Dus ook met de hondjes waarop ik pas! Na een grote wandeling in het Vondelpark ga ik vaak direct door naar de Gym. Ze moeten dus wel eventjes alleen kunnen zijn met Rebel samen (max 1,5 uur) , dus het zou heel fijn zijn als ze het samen leuk hebben. Rebel is in ieder geval gek op andere honden. Ik werk ook als vrijwilliger bij een honden shelter. ik ben bekend met (ernstige) wondverzorging, ogen en oren druppelen, en het toedienen van medicatie. Mocht je interesse hebben! Huisdieren liefhebber!

Van jongs af aan ben ik opgegroeid met honden en katten. Van een puberende meubilair opetende Saarlooswolfshond, rondrennende Bordercollie tot geadopteerde hondjes uit diverse landen. Niks is voor mij te gek. Ik hou ontzettend van wandelen en doe dat natuurlijk liever met een hond erbij. Naar het park, op het strand, noem maar op. Niets leuker dan een hond!

Wij hebben altijd veel dieren in huis gehad, niet alleen honden maar ook varkens, schaapen en nog veel meer. Maar honden vond ik altijd het allerleukst. Voor hun kun je zorgen, met hun kun je spelen en ze zijn altijd gelukkig om je te zien. Ik heb 20 jaar ervaring met honden, we hebben huskeys, golden retrievers, border collies en terriers gehad. Helaas heb ik op dit moment zelf geen hond vanwege beperkte tijd en daarom heb ik me voor Petbnb ingeschreven omdat ik het heel erg mis om een hondje in huis te hebben. Ik vind lange wandelingen met honden geweldig, naar het bos, het park of zelfs door de stad. In bed bij mij mag ook maar niet op de bank. Lekker chillen, kroelen en een filmpje samen kijken of een lekker bot halen want die zijn goed voor de tanden. Natuurlijk hoor ik ook graag wat bij het baasje mag want als daar iets niet mag, mag het bij mij natuurlijk ook niet en anders gewoon lekker verwennen en samen spelen :-) ik vertel graag meer indien nodig!

I had 3 years of experience taking care of my dog and cat when I lived at my parents’ place, before that I had experience pet sitting my grandparents’ dog. Now I also have experience pet sitting dogs at my current place for short term (2-3 days) and a bit longer period (3 weeks), and it has been working quite well. When I am spending time with dogs, usually I will take them to parks or somewhere peaceful and full of nature. I will play balls (or their favorite toys) with them, and let them walk/run as much as they want. I always bring a water bottle, wet cleaning paper, and a trash bag with me, so when dogs are thirsty, I can give them water, or when they get dirty, I can clean them with the wet paper, and after they poop, I will pick it up and put it in the trash bag. It’s important to make our little friends feel happy, relaxed, and content, while keeping the environment clean. With cats I am quite experienced, because I spent almost everyday with my cat during Covid. We shared the bed together every night, and I love giving him massages and petting his little belly. I am quite sensitive to cats’ abnormal behaviors, so if anything goes wrong I can notice very fast. I find cats very lovable and healing, and luckily cats usually find me trustworthy. My room is 27 square meters, and I have a big living room, so there will be enough space for cats/dogs. Besides, there is a beautiful park near my place. If you need someone to take care of your pets, I highly recommend myself :)

The building has an elevator and a large, fully enclosed terrace — a perfect base for great walks in the park, and plenty of room indoors to play as well. In addition to caring for our own dog, we occasionally look after other dogs too. That means your dog will have a buddy to play with while staying with us. Does your dog generally get along well with other dogs, like Loek does? If so, send us a message! Of course, we’d love to let the dogs meet each other beforehand.

Hondenoppas westerpark

Hi, Ik ben al van kleins af aan opgegroeid met een hond in ons gezin. Daarna heb ik vaak zelf nog opgepast op honden van buren of vrienden. Dierenvriend zoekt dieren vriendjes!

Ik ben een echte dierenvriend, maar vanwege een minder gestructureerd leven kan ik nu nog geen eigen hondje nemen.
