I live on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so be aware your dog needs to be able to take stairs or is fine with being carried. Ik ben gek op honden, maar heb er momenteel zelf geen. Op deze manier kan ik toch af en toe zorgen voor, spelen en knuffelen met honden (of katten!). Op mijn tiende kreeg ik mijn eerste hond, meteen een hele grote Bordeaux dog genaamd Diesel. Na 2 jaar kwam daar een nog grotere hond Hooch bij. Beide honden heb ik vele jaren met heel veel plezier verzorgd en van gehouden. Toen ik 10 jaar geleden op mijzelf ben gaan wonen in Amsterdam, ben ik begonnen met het fosteren van honden uit asielen in Spanje en Portugal. Angstige honden, honden van de straat, mishandelde honden en honden die nog nooit aan de riem hebben gelopen, jong, oud, ze zijn allemaal bij mij over de vloer geweest. Met ontzettend veel liefde heb ik dit jarenlang gedaan, totdat ik ontzettend verliefd werd op mijn laatste foster; Simba. Ik heb dan ook besloten hem te adopteren en ondertussen zijn we al weer 4 succesvolle jaren verder. Een aantal keer heb ik nog honden uit het asiel opgevangen samen met Simba, maar omdat ik af en toe naar het buitenland toe moet voor werk is opvang vinden voor 2 honden net te lastig. Ik heb ontzettend veel zin om een tweede hond over de vloer te hebben, Simba kan af en toe wel een maatje gebruiken!

Onlangs, eind 2025, ben ik begonnen met de opleiding Prive-Hondentrainer bij Edupet. Mijn ervaring met honden is altijd goed geweest, houd er van om de hond tijdens het wandelen de volledige aandacht te geven. Denk aan oefeningen tot het gooien van speeltjes of natuurlijk takken. Het is tijdens de wandeling even het feestje van de hond, dus zo min mogelijk afleidingen. Zelf ben ik erg rustig met honden en zal mijn relatie met de hond altijd baseren op vertrouwen en niet op domineren. Liefst als de hond het kan ga ik ook ergens op een mooie plek wandelen. Bijvoorbeeld in het bos of op het strand, zodat de hond lekker zijn energie kwijt kan. Bespreek dus ook graag de mogelijkheden.

Van kinds af aan ben ik opgegroeid met honden ( en andere dieren ) Mijn vader trainde politiehonden en we hadden altijd Golden Retrievers in huis. Naast honden hadden we ook paarden, schapen , konijnen , hamsters en katten. Een gezellige beestenboel dus. Inmiddels woon ik 25 jaar in Amsterdam Niet lang geleden is mijn hondje Dex Welsh terriër overleden. ik mis haar ontzettend. maar wil nog geen nieuwe hond. dit is wellicht een leuke afleiding. Een Welsh is geen ‘ makkelijk’ hondje op te voeden, dus ik heb met Dex veel geleerd bij verschillende hondentrainingen bij hondenschool de Gabber.Ik heb Dex alles aangeleerd met een klikker. Ze vond de behendigheidstraining ( dus over allerlei hindernissen/ tunnels etc door ) ontzettend leuk. Dex kon dit zelfs beter dan ik op een gegeven moment. Hier hebben wij geleerd goed naar elkaar te kijken en zelfs met handgebaren wist ze wat de bedoeling was. Ontzettend leerzaam voor zowel Dex als baas! Omdat ik veel cursussen gedaan heb met Dex weet ik veel over het gedrag van honden. Ik snap hoe spannend het is je hond aan een ‘ vreemde ‘ mee te geven. Wees gerust, uw hond is in veilige, liefdevolle maar consequente handen bij mij! Naast honden heb ik ook ervaring. met het verzorgen van cavia’s, konijnen en katten. ( English? No problem ☺️) 🍀🐶 p.s. ik kan niet op vaste dagen in de week omdat ik zelf van maandag tot en met donderdag werk. Soms werk ik thuis. en dan kan ik de hond uitlaten. Dit kan dus in overleg.
