Kees is out permanent roommate, he’s a mini dachshund who loves to play in Vondelpark everyday and make new friends. About myself, I’m an analyst that often works from home and through social media and group chats I see a lot of people struggling to find a sitter for their pet. While working at home I usually walk Kees every 2-3 hours, while going to dog parks almost everyday for a least 30 min. If your dog needs to stay overnight, that won’t be an issue as there is plenty of space here on the boat. Hello from a local dog lover and enthusiast! I have loved dogs for all of my life, and had my own (Captain, a rescued mutt) since I was 12 years old. Although I've only sporadically had a dog in my own vicinity since then, I spent a few months dog-sitting a doberman during a workaway two years ago, and spent this summer on a husky kennel in Tana, Norway caring for and doing the daily routines of 47 huskies (including 4 puppies and 11 yearlings). My experience with dogs I would consider wide-ranging, and I am so happy to hang out with dogs as it really brings me the greatest joy. I have a cosy and relatively large flat which I share with my roommate who is a horseback-rider and fellow animal lover and enthusiast. This means that your pooch will get a 2-for-1 deal and friend in us both (although the dog would be my responsibility and remain in my space mostly). However, as there are two of us, and I live in a building with many friends nearby, the dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. I am a student with a schedule that is heavy on Mondays and Thursdays, with the other days all 'off' (and a 3 hour course on Wednesdays), meaning I have plenty of free time to watch after and hang out with a canine companion. Additionally, there is always someone nearby should there be an emergency that needs tending to, and my uni is a 6 minute walk from the flat, for extra insurance.

In overleg met het baasje geven we dat ook aan. Onze voorkeur gaat uit naar kleine tot middelgrote honden in verband met ons huis op de 1e en 2e etage met trap. In de buurt bij ons is veel voor de honden; Elswout, het strand en verschillende veldjes/bossen. Neem vooral contact op als je vragen hebt.

Maud is uiterst prettig en flexibel in communicatie. We hebben na een prettige kennismaking onze 5 maande oude pup met vertrouwen achtergelaten. Maud weet in te spelen op de behoeftes welke een pup nodig heeft, rust vs. uitdaging/beweging, waardoor onze Lio voldaan, maar zeker niet overprikkeld opgehaald kon worden. Zeker een aan te raden oppas, gezien onze pup volledig blij, kwispelend bij de voordeur van maud staat te wachten! Maud dankjewel!
