Hoi! Ik ben Karin van Leijen, 29 jaar oud en ik woon in Amsterdam-Osdorp, vlak bij het Sloterpark. Jarenlang heb ik met heel veel liefde voor mijn lieve Roemeense straathond Holly mogen zorgen. Helaas is zij in augustus overleden en sindsdien mis ik een maatje om mee te wandelen, spelen en knuffelen. Ik ben nog niet toe aan een nieuwe eigen hond, maar ik geniet er wel enorm van om tijd met honden door te brengen. But I would say I rather feel more comfortable with the small and medium dogs. My boyfriend Tim and I love dogs. I grew up in a vet family with loads of pets and all sorts of dogs around. Since our Cypriot dog passed away last year we have been dog sitting various neighborhood furry friends. We work from home most of the time, which gives us flexibility to do frequent walks and little adventures. We live right next to Erasmus and Rembrandt park. If time permits and if your dog is up for it, we love going to the forest or the beach. The appartment isn’t huge but well catered for a dog, and we love playing and training with dogs as well. The house is only accessible by stairs.

Tesse and Tim alternated the walks with - and care for - Felan. He loved them equally. On the pictures sent by Tesse an Tim is clearly visible that Felan had a great time when they sat him. Communication went smoothly, all in all I can only hope that we can prolongue this petsitting arrangement in the future.

Ik hou zo veel van honden & katten (en andere dieren)!!! Ik heb zelf nooit een eigen hond gehad, o.a. omdat ik katten had en veel reisde. Maar ik heb altijd geholpen met het zorgen voor (en soms ook het opvoeden van) honden van vrienden en buren waaronder een Cane corso, 2 Staffies en een Duitse herder. Ik heb tijdens de covid/lockdown periode ook een aantal maanden een rescue (pitbull) opgevangen die met spoed een opvang plek nodig had, omdat ik toen nog voltijd vanuit huis werkte en hier de tijd voor had. Dit heb ik ook een aantal weken gedaan voor een ander klein hondje en 2 katten waarvan de eigenaar overleden was. Ik vond het super fijn dat ik ze kon helpen en extra aandacht aan ze kon geven in die periode. Ik werk nu 3 dagen op kantoor en mijn partner 5 dagen dus helaas zit een hond voor onszelf er op dit moment niet in. Maar ik zou het heel leuk vinden om af en toe gezellig te wandelen en/of op te passen en hiermee iemand in nood te helpen.
