Ik werk op een positieve, beloningsgerichte en volledig force-free manier (R+). Voor mij draait het om zachte begeleiding. Deze manier van wandelen is ook heel geschikt voor honden die wat extra ondersteuning kunnen gebruiken, bijvoorbeeld omdat ze ouder zijn, lichamelijke ongemakken hebben of extra begeleiding op gedragsmatig gebied nodig hebben. Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats and horses and have been actively caring for animals since I was very young. Our family dogs included an Italian Greyhound, Tibetan Spaniel and Chihuahua, and I also had my own cat who came into our family the same week I was born and stayed with us for 21 years, so I truly grew up alongside him. I now also regularly pet sit through Petbnb and have looked after dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities, both for daycare and overnight stays. I love getting to know each dog's individual routine and personality and making their stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible. I’m always happy to send photos and little updates so you can see what your pet has been up to. 🐾 I also grew up around much larger dogs, as my grandmother was a Rottweiler breeder for around 10 years. For about six years, I regularly helped by taking her Rottweilers on walks 1–3 times a week, so I became comfortable around bigger and stronger dogs from a young age. I have experience with puppies and kittens, adults and seniors, including shy animals and pets that need a little more patience and time to feel comfortable. I’m affectionate, calm and attentive, but I also love playing and being active with energetic dogs. Long walks are one of my favourite parts of dog sitting! I live very close to Sloterpark and lots of nature, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and outdoor time. I’m happy to go on longer walks with active dogs, but equally happy to spend the day playing, cuddling or simply keeping a more relaxed pet company at home. Pets are very welcome to stay with me, which is actually my preferred option. I live with my partner in a spacious three-bedroom apartment with a large balcony, and we don't have any pets of our own, so your pet will get plenty of attention and space to feel at home. I’m most comfortable with small and medium-sized dogs, although I also have experience with larger breeds. I’m happy to care for puppies, energetic dogs, seniors and dogs that need a little extra time to warm up. I also have lots of experience with cats and am comfortable with feeding, litter boxes, playtime and both affectionate and more independent personalities. Since moving abroad, having my own pet hasn't suited my lifestyle, and having animals around is something I genuinely miss. Pet sitting gives me the best of both worlds, I get to have that companionship again while giving someone else's pet lots of love, attention and some very good walks. ❤️

I have had dogs my whole life, they were my whole life. I moved from the English countryside to Amsterdam. It is now more difficult for me to commit to owning a dog full time. So, what better way than to spread my love for dogs, with all the dogs out there that need a new friend. Whether that is for a walk, a night, a weekend stay or a week. We left Luna for the first time and were very worried at first. But all our worries disappeared when we met Jadina and her partner! They are so kind and took amazing care of Luna. They kept sending us pictures every day, so we knew she was doing well. We were so happy that Luna was with them, and we’ll definitely leave her with them again next time we’re away :)

Ik ben onwijs gek op dieren en wil al mijn leven lang graag een honden vriend erbij. Helaas laat ons (mijn vriend en ik) werkleven dit niet toe. Je wil wel de aandacht geven die ze nodig hebben. Daarom is petbnb de plek voor mij om toch een beetje liefde te kunnen geven aan en ontvangen van onze liefste maatjes! Ik ben al mijn leven lang omringd door dieren. Voornamelijk katten, maar ik heb ook vaker gepast op honden (en kippen, maar dat terzijde). Ik ben dus een kenner, verwen ze maar al te graag met dikke knuffels en laat ze graag uit in de natuur. Zo krijgt de hond quality time en wordt ik opgeladen van het buiten zijn en de gezelligheid dat een hond geeft. We hebben twee katten, maar die zijn het grootste gedeelte van de dag buiten en zullen ook niet binnen zijn als ik op de hond pas. Ik ben voornamelijk beschikbaar op zondag, van 09:00 tot 17:00 uur. Dan kan ik oppassen en uitlaten. Ook ben ik beschikbaar op de maandag en woensdag tijdens de lunch (12:00-13:30 uur) om uit te laten. Af en aan ben ik vrijdag in de middag tot 17:00 uur beschikbaar, oppassen in overleg. Het lijkt mij onwijs leuk om op een lieve honden vriend te passen. Iets wat op dit moment niet zelf lukt, maar iets wat ik wel graag wil. Voor ras en leeftijd heb ik geen voorkeur. Iedereen is welkom.
