(I speak Dutch, English, see below, and German) Al mijn hele leven ben ik gek op honden! Hoewel ik zelf nooit hondeneigenaar ben geweest, heb ik altijd op honden (groot en klein) opgepast. Ik voel honden goed aan en honden voelen zich vaak prettig in mijn omgeving. In de toekomst wil ik er heel graag zelf een. Ik woon in een appartement vlak bij de Haagse beek en de Bosjes van Poot (5 min). Ook het strand bezoek ik graag (20 minuten lopen vanaf mijn huis). Ik houd ontzettend van wandelen en in de natuur zijn, wat het weer ook is! Bij mij thuis zal een hond zich lekker kunnen nestelen op een warm kleed (in de gang om bijvoorbeeld een beetje te wennen), in de woonkamer, bij mij op de bank (als dit mag natuurlijk), of op een eigen meegenomen kleedje/mand (dit werkt vaak goed in mijn beleving). Ik vind het ontzettend leuk om te spelen en te knuffelen met honden en ben daar bijna onvermoeibaar in. Maar ik houd ook van lekker op de bank hangen, series kijken, een boek lezen, en vind het heel gezellig als er dan een hond in de buurt is. Ik kan heel goed luisteren (naar de instructies) en zal mijn uiterste best doen de hond en zijn/haar behoeftes tegemoet te komen. -- I’ve loved dogs my whole life! Although I’ve never had one of my own, I’ve always taken care of dogs, big and small. I have a good sense for them, and they usually feel comfortable around me. I definitely hope to have one myself in the future. I live in an apartment close to the Haagse Beek and the Bosjes van Poot (about a 5-minute walk). I also love going to the beach, it’s about a 20-minute walk from my home. I absolutely love walking and being in nature, no matter the weather! At my place, a dog can settle in comfortably, on a warm rug in the hallway (for example, to get used to the space), in the living room, on the couch with me (if that’s allowed of course), or on its own blanket or bed brought from home (which I’ve found often works really well). I love playing and cuddling with dogs and have endless energy for it. But I also enjoy relaxing on the couch, watching a series, or reading a book, and I find it so cozy when there’s a dog nearby. I’m a great listener (to both people and instructions!) and will do my very best to meet the dog’s needs and make them feel happy and safe.

We gaan minimaal een keer in de week naar het strand en duinen bij Westduinpark en gaan regelmatig voor de afwisseling naar andere plekken zoals bij De Vlietlanden, Scheveningse Bosjes, Meijendel, Park Clingendael, of Bentwoud. Wat betreft de wandelingen/oppas service: Uw hond moet wel goed naar basis commandos kunnen luisteren en goed gedragen zowel aan als los van de lijn. Wij hebben onze eigen Golden Retriever hond die ik meeneem op de wandelingen. Zij is niet gecastreerd dus als het om een reu gaat moet die wel gecastreerd zijn. Ik heb ervaring met wat oudere honden en het indienen van medicatie mocht dat nodig zijn. Wij zijn op vijf minuten loopafstand van Dierenkliniek Nootdorp mocht er wat aan de hand zijn. In the case where house sitting is needed alongside petsitting I ensure that the utmost attention and priority is provided to security and privacy of your property. I also have experience with taking care of elderly or sick animals. If they need to be given medication or special attention at their feeding time(s), this can be arranged. The fee is inclusive of an initial get to know you meeting. Where overnight boarding is requested please provide enough food and other items that your furry friend is attached to. Where overnight lodging is required there needs to be an initial one night boarding to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The dogs will sleep separately or together in their own enclosed space for the night. We are five minutes walk to the nearest vet should there be a need to take them there. I always ask for permission and consult together with owners on what needs to be done before an appointment is made. I provide daily updates on your pets and I ensure that they are comfortable and we strive for them to have as good a time here at our home as at their own home. Our Golden is young and likes to play. She is very social, sometimes dominant but loves having other playmates around.
