Hello from a local dog lover and enthusiast! I have loved dogs for all of my life, and had my own (Captain, a rescued mutt) since I was 12 years old. Although I've only sporadically had a dog in my own vicinity since then, I spent a few months dog-sitting a doberman during a workaway two years ago, and spent this summer on a husky kennel in Tana, Norway caring for and doing the daily routines of 47 huskies (including 4 puppies and 11 yearlings). My experience with dogs I would consider wide-ranging, and I am so happy to hang out with dogs as it really brings me the greatest joy. I have a cosy and relatively large flat which I share with my roommate who is a horseback-rider and fellow animal lover and enthusiast. This means that your pooch will get a 2-for-1 deal and friend in us both (although the dog would be my responsibility and remain in my space mostly). However, as there are two of us, and I live in a building with many friends nearby, the dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. I am a student with a schedule that is heavy on Mondays and Thursdays, with the other days all 'off' (and a 3 hour course on Wednesdays), meaning I have plenty of free time to watch after and hang out with a canine companion. Additionally, there is always someone nearby should there be an emergency that needs tending to, and my uni is a 6 minute walk from the flat, for extra insurance.

Ik ben een 23 jaar wonende in Amsterdam West, altijd op gegroeid met honden thuis. And of course I will sent you photo/video/text updates so you are assured your furry sweetheart has the best time ever. Your dog will be walked at least two to three times a day (depending on how long the sitting lasts). Your pup may be left alone 2 hours max. There are no other pets in my home. I live on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so be aware your dog needs to be able to take stairs or is fine with being carried. Hoi allemaal, zoals iedereen op deze website ben ook ik gek op honden :) Ik heb zelf een Boomer en Labrador gehad. Ik kan niet wachten om weer een thuis te geven aan een nieuwe hond. Beste Hondenbaasjes, Mijn naam is Brend en zo lang ik mij kan herinneren was er altijd al een hond in mijn omgeving. Na het stappen lag ze op mij te wachten, op vakantie sprong ze achter mij aan in het water. Frisbeen was onze lievelings wandeling of we gingen lekker uitwaaien op het strand. Nu ik al een tijd niet meer bij mijn ouders woon wordt het gemis van een hond steeds groter. Tuurlijk kan ik naar mijn ouders reizen om de hond te zien maar het lijkt me geweldig om een uitlaat maatje te hebben in de stad. Bij deze wil ik graag in contact komen met baasjes die hulp nodig hebben bij het uitlaten van hun viervoeter. Ik zou graag een wekelijkse ochtend(en) of een wekelijks avond rondje willen wandelen. Brend was super nice you can tell he really likes dogs. Something super important is that he can definitely handle big strong dogs, he had no problems with my boxer which sometimes can be very stubborn and not easy to walk. 100% recommended and I would definitely repeat if I need someone to walk or look after my dog on Thursdays.

Kinderen in vachtjes heaven

Ik heb zelf een hond van bijna 1 jaar. Hij is gek op spelen en houdt er van om op avontuur te gaan in het bos, het park en het strand. Hij is heel sociaal, maar wel druk, dus als je hond zelf niet houdt van drukke honden, dan is mijn huis wellicht geen fijne plek! Ik ben zelf op woensdagen vrij, dan wandel ik extra veel. Ik kan doorgaans veel thuiswerken dus ben flexibel met dagopvang. Ik ga 1 a 2 keer per dag naar het park voor een uitgebreide wandeling en neem balletjes mee om te spelen.
