I grew up with doberman and a poodle, and describe the doberman as my best childhood friend. I had 3 cats in my adulthood who lived well into old age. Due to a lot of travel for my work, I made the conscious decision not to have animals of my own in this phase of my life. I have been doing pet sitting for many years. I have experience with dogs that have special needs, medication etc. Currently my partner and I both work from home and yearn to have time with animals, but can't make the commitment to have an animal of my own. So being able to support others with their pets feels like a great solution. We live next to the Vondelpark and LOVE to walk. The dog has to be comfortable with stairs (or small enough to carry) as we live on the 3rd and 4th floor. We are bilingual English/Dutch, and my partner also speaks French and Spanish.

Ik ben mijn hele leven al opgegroeid met honden. We hebben zelfs een keer een nestje van 8 puppy’s gehad, waardoor ik veel ervaring heb in de omgang en verzorging. Zelf heb ik ook een heel lief hondje. Hoewel ik 18 jaar ben en dus nog jong, ben ik erg verantwoordelijk en weet ik goed hoe ik met honden om moet gaan. Als ik op jouw hond mag passen, zal hij/zij niets tekortkomen. Ik hou van wandelen en doe dit ook vaak, dus jouw hond krijgt lekker veel beweging, aandacht en knuffels. Tijdens de opvang kan mijn eigen hond bij mijn ouders verblijven, zodat ik alle aandacht aan jouw hond kan geven. Mijn ouders vinden het altijd leuk om op mijn hondje te passen, dus dat is helemaal geregeld. Ik kijk ernaar uit om kennis te maken met jou en je hond!

Sarah gaat heel natuurlijk met honden om en behandelt de uitlaatgas als haar eigen hond. Ze heeft de laatste twee weken vijf keer met Ollie gewandeld en zij was heel tevreden. Ze wandelt lang met de hond en is betrouwbaar, communiceer goed. Ik ben heel tevreden over haar en kan haar van harte aanbevelen!

And of course I will sent you photo/video/text updates so you are assured your furry sweetheart has the best time ever. Your dog will be walked at least two to three times a day (depending on how long the sitting lasts). Your pup may be left alone 2 hours max. There are no other pets in my home. I live on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so be aware your dog needs to be able to take stairs or is fine with being carried. Ik heb zelf een hond van bijna 1 jaar. Hij is gek op spelen en houdt er van om op avontuur te gaan in het bos, het park en het strand. Hij is heel sociaal, maar wel druk, dus als je hond zelf niet houdt van drukke honden, dan is mijn huis wellicht geen fijne plek! Ik ben zelf op woensdagen vrij, dan wandel ik extra veel. Ik kan doorgaans veel thuiswerken dus ben flexibel met dagopvang. Ik ga 1 a 2 keer per dag naar het park voor een uitgebreide wandeling en neem balletjes mee om te spelen. I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I work in the fashion industry in a creative job. - I currently work full time and commute, so only my weekends are available. - We have an elevator in our building, if we are dog sitting in our apartment.

Flexibele betrouwbare hondenoppas

Ik ben opgevoed met een labrador, cane corso en een rotweiler. Het is geweldig om honden om je heen te hebben! Momenteel heb ik geen honden meer en daarom heb ik mij aangemeld op petbnb, het is fantastisch om af en toe een hondje om je heen te hebben om voor te zorgen. Ik ben dol op honden en zorg dan ook graag dat elke hond het naar zijn/haar zin heeft bij mij. Wandelen, spelen, knuffelen het zal ze aan aandacht niet tekort komen. Hoewel ik op een appartement zonder tuin woon, ik woon vlakbij een aantal leuke parken waar ik uw hond mee naartoe zal nemen voor voldoende beweging en tijd buiten de deur. If I was rich I could have 10 dogs but now that I am not I have only my little Bono. He is a miniature pincher that loves the company of other small dogs. So if you choose me as a pet sitter you can offer my baby dog company to play! Except for that, I love walking with small dogs or at least dropping by and checking for them (and petting them a bit -this is my extra payment- :p) I hope that I will see you and your dog soon :D

Na opgegroeid te zijn met katten begon ik op mijn 13e al mijn eerste honden uitlaatservice voor familie en kennissen. Zo was ik twee jaar lang de vaste oppas voor Beer (kruising). Inmiddels heb ik ruime ervaring met verschillende (kleine en middelgrote) rassen en heb ik een aantal terugkerende oppashondjes. Ik woon in een appartementje aan de rand van het centrum van de stad en kijk tijdens het oppassen altijd uit naar de spelen, knuffelen en de wandelingen naar bijvoorbeeld Bilderdijkpark of Geuzekade. Indien de gasthond houdt van spelen met andere honden heb ik voldoende vrienden met honden die graag een playdate inplannen. Hierbij laten we al-tijd(!) de honden eerst op een veilige manier kennismaken.
