Growing up, I was lucky enough to share my daily life with many dogs and cats of different breeds and sizes, so having a furry companion around is part of who I am. I’ve always loved spending time with them and since moving to the Netherlands, it’s something I’ve really missed… Although I’m not able to have a dog of my own just yet, caring for four-legged being is something that brings me a lot of joy. I’m an avid hiker and enjoy being outdoors, so I’m very happy to go on long walks and play together. I also appreciate quieter moments, so I’m equally happy to spend a relaxed afternoon or evening at home. Fortunately, my apartment complex has a fenced communal garden where dogs are welcome and there are several parks and great walking areas nearby just waiting to be explored! 😊 I mainly have experience with friendly and social dogs, but I’m also very open to dogs with different personalities to adapt to their individual routines and needs.

Vanaf mijn geboorte tot aan mijn studeren hebben we altijd honden in huis gehad op de Veluwe. In mijn tijd op Aruba (10 jaar) heb ik in huishoudens gewoond waar ik mede voor meerdere (grote) honden heb gezorgd. (Bull Mastif, Deense Dogs, labrador, en verschillende geadopteerde straathonden). Het komt vaak voor dat honden heel blij zijn om mij te zien. Dat komt denk ik doordat ik een bepaalde rust uitstraal, respect voor ze heb en geen gekke dingen met ze doe. Mijn werkleven in Amsterdam is niet geschikt voor huisdieren maar ik kan wellicht wel zo nu en dan voor huisdieren van anderen zorgen.

Joost is een echte dierenvriend. Hij zorgt ervoor dat je hond geen aandacht te kort komt. Afspraken waren makkelijk te maken. Aanrader!

By taking behavioral dog training courses as well as teaching our late Swiss shepherd agility and tracking, I’ve grown to love shepherds and retrievers. However, I am a big fan of most other breeds too! While I live in an apartment, it is located right next to the Amstel - with plenty outdoor space and a short metro ride from Gaasperplas. Chili heeft een super fijne dag gehad bij Kim :hugging:! Lekker veel gespeeld en veel ruimte gekregen om haar energie kwijt te raken! Zelfs nog wat trainingen tussendoor. Overall, blije pup! En wij waren blij met alle tussentijdse updates/filmpjes! Ze kijkt er naar uit om volgend weekend een nachtje te logeren en weer met Marlowe te spelen.

Wij zijn Luis en Lisa en allebei gek op huisdieren. Luis is opgegroeid met katten en zelf altijd katten gehad en Lisa is opgegroeid met honden. Honden en katten maken ons blij, laat staan tijd met ze doorbrengen. We zijn gek op alle soorten honden, groot en klein. Lisa is met een golden opgegroeid. Luis is degene die helemaal gek is op katten en mega goed met ze kan opschieten. Lisa heeft een lange tijd opgepast bij een gezin met een beagle. Wandelen, eten geven, spelen en ook als zij op vakantie waren bleef zij bij de hond. We zijn er nog niet over uit welk huisdier we willen dus op deze manier is het perfect om wel tijd met ze door te brengen. Lisa werkt als stewardess dus niet altijd in Nederland, maar Luis werkt vanuit huis. Wij kunnen niet wachten om op u hond of kat te mogen passen.

Up for running around or pets and cuddles!

Have just moved to the Netherlands from Ireland and have had to leave my family dogs behind- missing company on my walks and evening cuddles. I know how to tire a dog out with a good walk (and lots of patient sniff stops of they’re that way inclined!) or give them attention if that’s what they need.
