Hoi, wij zijn Wessel en Lieke! Wat meer informatie over ons: - Wij wonen in Haarlem in een huis met een tuin samen met onze 2 kleine kindjes (2,5 jaar & 1 jaar ). Er is dus veel energie om te spelen en knuffelen. De hond moet wel goed met jonge kinderen om kunnen gaan. - We hebben allebei een 100% flexibel thuiswerkbeleid, dus er werkt altijd een van ons twee thuis. Grote kans dat we tijdens het oppassen allebei thuis willen werken 😉 Dus sowieso veel aandacht en gezelligheid voor de hond; - Naast vele parken om uit te laten hebben wij ook een auto dus we pakken ook graag de auto om met de hond naar het bos of het strand te gaan; - Voor ons is het echt een feestje om op te passen, dus we doen ons uiterste best om het voor de hond net zo leuk te maken als het voor ons is.

Het fijnste is als de huisdieren hier komen in huiselijke sfeer, mits het natuurlijk matcht met mijn hond en ze kinderen zijn gewend zijn. Vrijblijvend kennis maken is dan dan ook wel wenselijk. De dieren die hier welkom zijn: -Honden, cavia, konijnen, hamsters, vissen, vogels, fretten, Eventueel andere kleine huisdieren in kleine kooi zijn ook welkom die ik hier niet genoemd heb. Ik snap dat het hier logeren niet altijd kan dus kan zeker ook op huisbezoek gaan voor eventueel katten en alle bovenstaande dieren die ik heb vernoemd. Ik kan dan gelijk thuis ook even de planten water geven binnen en in de tuin en of balkon. (Zit allen in de prijs inbegrepen) uw post netjes opruimen. Tussen door stofzuigen, de vuilnis doen zo dat u in een net huis terug komt! Om een heerlijke wandeling te maken met de hond sta ik ook zeker voor open. Denk dat ik zo wel alles heb benoemd :) Vrijblijvend kennismaken is natuurlijk altijd mogelijk om te kijken of het allemaal klikt en alles qua werkzaamheden en de prijs valt nog te bespreken. Eventuele referenties kan ik doorgeven als daar vraag naar is van de diverse huisdieren. Als je nog vragen hebt stuur me gerust een berichtje!

Please read all the info below before making your booking! I have been around and taken care of dogs my entire life. We had two dogs when I was a child I was trusted taking care of and walk during my lunch breaks at school from a very young age. My family travelled a lot when I was young and wherever we went I would find packs of street dogs to play with, which now when I’m a parent sounds insane (and quite dangerous) but it very much shaped how I see and relate to dogs and taught me how to communicate, read body language and understand pack dynamic. I have adopted and fostered many dogs throughout my life, and have been watching and training dogs for friends and family over the years many times. Also very interested in dog psychology and behaviour in general, and their inner workings is a genuine interest for me. Dog sitting is my full time job, I’m very good at it and take it seriously. I usually spend most of my days outside with the dogs I have, it’s great for exercise and socialising and we all enjoy fresh air and sunshine. I also enjoy to bring them along for outings or other activities since I love the company. My kids are at school during the day so I have lots of time and I really enjoy walking and being outside so it’s absolutely not a chore. Different dogs have different needs of course and I do my best to accommodate that. I love biking with dogs since you can sort of “play run” together and it’s a great way to get a lot of exercise for high energy dogs, and even if a dog is not used to running next to a bike, most get the hang of it fast and I am of course very careful to make sure there’s no accidents. My house is also full of toys, activity puzzles and games, it’s important they get mental simulation as well physical. My kids are good and calm with animals, and love dogs so they are delighted about weekend stays but of course they don’t walk them and I generally don’t leave my kids alone with the dogs I host. Our cat Styx, a Maine Coon male, is raised around dogs and makes friends with most of them given a bit of time, even dogs that otherwise goes nuts when they see a cat outside! We live in a house with a lift so larger or older dogs doesn’t have to climb down stairs, the flat itself has three floors so easy and spacious with the cat living upstairs and visiting dogs downstairs. Some dogs I have regularly of course get upstairs privileges when we’re all comfortable together and maybe aren’t covered in mud! The size of the flat does also mean I can easily keep dogs and cats separated so there’s never been an issue in all the years I’ve been doing this. The downstairs floor is also large enough to keep dogs separated if necessary, I have lots of fences and baby gates I can set up. The terrace is great for fresh air and playtime. We also live very close to many green areas suitable for off leash walking, biking and swimming. I have experience with and really enjoy large dogs and don’t mind being out entire days with wolf/working breeds if they need it. My philosophy is that a dog that is provided a lot of exercise, play, boundaries, structure and a calm and assertive pack leader will be a happy and balanced one! Please note! -Do provide food, toys, chew bones, treats and toilet bags for your dogs visit. If requested I can provide this but will ask to be refunded for any additional expenses. I have lots of bowls, towels and beds etc so no need to bring that. -If your dog needs a lot of special attention, is not fully house trained or have a very labour intensive schedule you need to inform me of this in advance so we can discuss. Also if your dog can’t be together with other dogs or off leash I need to know before we finalise the booking. -I can’t accept dogs with severe behavioural problems or that barks a lot. If there are undisclosed issues like aggression, barking or destructive/unmanageable behaviour I reserve the right to terminate the booking and request you to find another arrangements for the rest of the stay, or I will ask an extra fee so be aware of this. Please don’t downplay issues since that will only cause trouble for everyone involved later on. -I will accept bookings for cats if they are spayed/neutered and very good with other cats, dogs and kids. One of my dogs had epilepsy so he needed medication, another one needed specialised food so I know how to deal with that. My last dog passed away a year ago and I miss having a dog badly so hence this profile. I have a very kind and loving character and I’m super patient when it comes to dealing with a dog that has some particularities. Ilse was great and very friendly. Our dog was very comfortable around her. However we had to end terms with her 2 days before because there were lot of fire crackers in Amsterdam and our dog was very scared. Not a great place for dogs during new years. Otherwise Ilse is great:slight_smile:

Al mijn hele leven heb ik een grote liefde voor dieren. Als kind paste ik al op de huisdieren van anderen tot we thuis een eigen hond als pup kregen. Mijn passie voor honden groeide en ik ben opleidingen over hondengedrag gaan volgen. Later heb ik in een hondenopvang en een hondenuitlaat gewerkt waar ik enorm van genoot. In our search for a calm but secure sitter we found Sanika and Arjan here in Petbnb. Raiku is a white shepherd with a complete manual so to speak (but he will be "that guy" just to suprise you) - but when he is in his comfort zone he is a fairly relaxed white 1 year old shepherd. He took a day to settle in (which is really short for a white shepherd, so kuddos right there) - and after that Raiku was his own relaxed self again. Van jongs af aan heb ik honden gehad, zowel klein als groot. De laatste paar waren Amerikaanse Akita's. Niet de allermakkelijkste honden, maar daarmee heb ik de meest hechte band opgebouwd. Ik heb ook een tuintje waar de honden gebruik van mogen maken. Riley is een kruising tussen een Beagle, Cocker Spaniel en een Boomer. Ze is in huis een rustig hondje, maar als er een hond graag wilt spelen, is zij daar zeker ook voor in! Het is wel belangrijk dat uw hond samen kan met Riley :) Liefst geen hond die mij buiten omver trekt :) Graag maken wij kennis met jullie en hoor ik wat jullie behoeftes zijn! Zien wij jullie snel?
