Hi, I'm Carla! Animals have always had a very special place in my life. My inspiration One of the biggest reasons behind this step is Zara, my American Bulldog. She was sweet, gentle and incredibly sociable, although, like the great lady she was , she could also be a little temperamental and selective! Zara taught me so much about respecting an animal's individual personality, needs and boundaries. When she passed away in October 2025, she left a huge space in my life. Her loss also made me realise how much being around animals means to me. It gave me an even stronger desire to spend my time caring for, learning from and simply being close to other animals. In many ways, becoming a pet sitter is my way of following that feeling. Our family and home I live with my husband and my teenage son, who both love animals just as much as I do and have been incredibly supportive of me taking this step. We also share our home with Bully, an American bully size pocket, a very special member of our family. I believe it's important to be completely transparent: we have a dog living in our home. For this reason, every dog staying with us will be carefully introduced and assessed beforehand to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I don't want to fill my home with as many dogs as possible. I prefer to offer a calm, loving family environment where every dog receives individual attention and care. A garden to play, relax and simply be a dog We have a large garden where dogs can enjoy the outdoors, play, explore and have some freedom. My garden is completely enclosed and secure, with mostly grass, giving dogs plenty of space to relax, explore and enjoy some outdoor time. I also enjoy providing mental enrichment activities, adapted to each dog's personality and needs. After all, keeping their minds active can be just as important or more then physical exercise! And of course, sometimes the best activity is doing absolutely nothing just simply relaxing on the grass and enjoying a little sun, when the Dutch weather allows it! Above all, I value the safety of every dog in my care. Our garden has been prepared with this in mind, so dogs can enjoy their time outside in a safe environment. My experience All my life i had contact with animals like dogs, cats, birds and even a very naughty parrot. Living with and caring for my own dogs has taught me a lot about routines, wellbeing and the importance of noticing even the smallest changes. I also have practical experience with dogs with allergies and sensitive skin, including skin-care routines and ongoing maintenance. Any specific care is always provided according to the owner's instructions and, where necessary, veterinary guidance. How I can help Loving home boarding for dogs, following a prior introduction Doggy day care Pet sitting and companionship Dog walks I enjoy taking dogs on calm walks through quite green surroundings, with canals and open spaces nearby. Every dog on my care will have 3 walks per day at least. There are also designated areas where dogs can safety enjoy some off- leash time. For safety reasons, i prefer to keep dogs on a leash during walks. The length of each walk depends on the will, energy and how much dog is having fun but in general, each walk lasts around 30 minutes, giving the dog a calm, relaxed moment. Home visits Feeding according to your pet's routine. Medication administration when clearly instructed. Can be daily skin care routine, pills or another type of medication. Playtime and mental enrichment Basic hygiene care. For over night stays, I have comfortable beds and crates available if necessary, depending on each dog's needs and what they are used to. Regular photo and video updates, ALWAYS For cats: Unfortunately, I can't host cats in my home because we have Bully, but I would be very happy to care for them in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. What matters most to me I know how difficult it can be to leave our pets in someone else's care. They are not "just animals", they are family. That's why I like to get to know every pet before caring for them. I want to understand their personality, routine, likes, dislikes and individual needs. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, respected and happy while you're away and to give you peace of mind knowing they are being cared for with genuine attention and affection. My dog ​​Joe stayed with Carla and her family for a week and had a FANTASTIC TIME. Carla is sweet, caring, patient, and she truly connects with the animals under her care. She has a very sweet, cheerful dog of her own with an incredibly sociable character. Our dogs got along excellently. She lives on the edge of the woods, which is wonderful for the dogs. Additionally, she has a large garden where the dogs can play to their heart's content. Carla is very communicative and shares many cheerful updates and photos of the situation. I highly recommend Carla to anyone looking for a loving temporary family for their dog!!!

Mijn naam is Maya, 40 jaar, geadopteerd uit Colombia en woonachtig in Rotterdam (Oude Westen). Ik ben een gevoelig en intuïtief mens met een diepe, levenslange liefde voor dieren. Voor mij zijn dieren geen huisdieren – ze zijn familie. Bij hen voel ik rust, verbinding en een natuurlijke vorm van communicatie, soms zelfs alsof we dezelfde taal spreken. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik op verschillende plekken in Nederland gezorgd voor honden en katten (regelmatig in hun eigen vertrouwde omgeving in huis) Van Texel tot in de stad – overal ben ik met open armen en poten ontvangen. Honden en katten zijn me het meest dierbaar: ik speel graag met ze, wandel, knuffel en ben gewoon graag samen, in stilte of in gezelligheid. Als een hond avontuurlijk is en houdt van boswandelingen of hiken, dan ga ik graag mee op pad. Zelf heb ik op dit moment geen dieren. Juist daardoor voelt het zorgen voor andermans dieren voor mij extra waardevol en kan ik mijn aandacht volledig aan hen geven. Een kleine tot middelgrote, rustige hond (die niet veel verhaart) mag eventueel ook bij mij thuis verblijven als dat voor beide kanten goed voelt. Houd er wel rekening mee dat ik op de derde verdieping woon en dat er steile, smalle trappen zijn. Kleine honden kan ik dragen, middelgrote en grote honden moeten zelf de trap op kunnen. Mijn voorkeur gaat vaak uit naar oppassen aan huis, zodat het dier zich het meest comfortabel voelt in zijn of haar eigen vertrouwde omgeving. Naast het oppassen ben ik een creatief mens en werk ik met energie o.a. door muziek en zang. Ik begeleid ceremonies en workshops binnen het veld van bewustzijn. Muziek en het samenzijn met dieren zijn voor mij twee van de meest natuurlijke vormen van verbinding en aanwezigheid. Dieren reageren vaak heel ontspannen op mijn rustige en zachte energie. Het komt regelmatig voor dat een hond of kat die als wat schuw of gevoelig wordt omschreven, bij mij toch snel tot rust komt en contact zoekt. Met veel geduld neem ik de tijd om een dier echt te leren kennen en me af te stemmen op wat het nodig heeft – of dat nu spelen, wandelen of gewoon rustig samen zijn is. 🚆 Reizen met het OV is voor mij geen probleem – met een reiskostenvergoeding ben ik beschikbaar in verschillende regio’s. 🏡 Voor house sitting met een hond en of kat ben ik beschikbaar voor zowel korte als langere periodes. 🧼 Ik ben een zeer schoon, bewust en respectvol persoon. 🌱 Ik leef al jaren (10 jaar) veganistisch, vanuit mijn liefde en respect voor dieren en mijn eigen gezondheid. 🇳🇱🇬🇧 Ik spreek zowel Nederlands als Engels vloeiend en 🇨🇴 Spaans een kleine beetje. Ik ben zelf in een huishouden opgegroeid met huisdieren 2 honden en een 1 kat🤗. ik vind huisdieren echt leuk, de enige reden dat ik zelf niet eentje heb is omdat ik van reizen houd en ik werk full time dus dan by vind het zielig om ze zo lang alleen te laten. Maar vind ze helemaal geweldig en doe wel vaker oppassen voor vrienden als hun met vakantie gaan. Hondenoppas in Rotterdam✨️

Thuis hebben wij altijd honden gehad. We gingen vaak samen wandelen in de bossen en op het strand. De honden waren allemaal van verschillende rassen: van golden retriever tot vuilnisbakjes :) Op mijn veertiende kreeg ik mijn eigen hond, daar heb ik met veel plezier en liefde voor gezorgd❤️ We hebben samen ook op hondentraining gezeten. Ahmed is een vriendelijke, betrouwbare oppas voor mijn hond. Zijn hond Rocky is ook echt een schat, en accepteert mijn hondje ook al heeft zij haar eigen wil. Ik kon goed communiceren met Ahmed en hij stuurde ook leuke foto’s en video’s naar mij toe. Daarnaast was hij erg flexibel. Ik voelde me erg op mijn gemak om Kami bij hen te laten logeren :) Bedankt Ahmed & Rocky ❤️

Lieve mensen, Ik ben een ervaren, geduldige en enthousiaste oppas met een groot hart voor dieren. Alle honden zijn welkom, maar we maken altijd eerst even kennis om te zien of het klikt. Van jongs af aan heb ik dieren om me heen gehad, daarnaast vang ik regelmatig honden op via asielen en stichtingen – soms voor een paar dagen, soms voor langere tijd – totdat ze een nieuw baasje vinden. Ook heb ik twee jaar vrijwilligerswerk gedaan in Azië en Spanje, waar ik (soms angstige of agressieve) straathonden met liefde, geduld en heropvoeding weer vertrouwen in mensen heb mogen geven. 🐾 Belangrijk om te weten: - Mijn eigen hond Iggy (11 jaar, 6,5 kilo, kleintje dus) is vriendelijk en relaxed, zolang andere honden niet te opdringerig zijn. Ik neem daarom geen pups meer aan en met pubers of drukke honden doen we altijd eerst een proef. - Ik woon op de eerste verdieping: jouw hond moet dus trap kunnen lopen of goed tilbaar zijn. Stuur me gerust een berichtje, ik maak graag kennis met jou en je hond!

marianne is een van de weinige mensen bij wie barry zich op zijn gemak voelt. mede door hondje iggy voelt hij zich thuis en veilig. hij kan ontspannen en lekker rollen en luieren op een dekentje. dat is heel fijn om te merken, want een betere graadmeter voor zijn welzijn is er niet. marianne is de beste!
