Our dog stayed with Linda for a day while we visited various museums. Everything went really well, from communication to reliability. We didn’t have a meet-and-greet beforehand and went straight to the handover. Linda kept us updated with photos throughout the day, so we could see how our dog was doing. Our dog felt very comfortable with her, and I can highly recommend Linda’s dog-sitting services!

Ik ben gek op honden, vind het heel gezellig met een hond in huis en hou er van lekker met ze te wandelen. Doordat ik regelmatig reis heb ik geen eigen hond meer, maar is het des te leuker regelmatig op te passen. Ik ben als kind met honden opgegroeid en heb zelf twee honden gehad. We speak Dutch, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese in both human and dog language ;) We live on a peaceful island on the border of Zaandam, in a special place close to the Zaanse Schans and the Natural Reserve Area of Kalverpolder, near Amsterdam. Although we don’t have our own dogs, we love animals, and are lucky to have a fun "fauna" here already: from a turtle that visits from time to time to all kinds of waterfowl. Our 'dogiculum': Nick was brought up in France and Spain, raised with a lot of Irish Setters. Lili, growing up in Brazil made her very familiar with all types of street and rescue dogs. After more than 3 years as dog sitters, we have the experience of over 100 happy clients. It has been an educational journey for us learning about dogs, their various quirks and and getting to know so many different dogs and becoming a part of their lives. We now believe dogs have a unique experience here, as they can exist in near total freedom, in a pack, playing, foraging, chilling or even sleeping together, and with our near constant near-presence. That's how we reached progressively this “spa-like” bubble environment, where dogs can socialize and/or relax at their will. If we have only one guest, they stay with us in the main house of course. Some extra info: . Our island has 3 main buildings, one of them is the guesthouse transformed into a doggyhouse. It’s surrounded by a big 'foresty garden’ and the super clean air. They have a fenced and safe area at their disposition for playing and lounging outside. . As we both work from home, we have lots of time and love for our guests, and so they are usually supervised 24/7. . Walks are included as they have access to the garden whenever we go walking throughout the island's interwoven paths. . We do not take dogs that are either too anxious, protective or aggressive (ie. I moved to Haarlem with my boyfriend six years ago because he came to work here, (we are both Brazilians). I was studying when we decided to move so starting a new life in another country was a big challenge! I fell in love with Haarlem as soon as I arrived, but I had no idea what to work with so I started to take care of pets (as I love them) and was the best thing I did for sure. Bij mij krijgt jouw hond aandacht, liefde en beweging, omdat ik het zelf ook heerlijk vind om buiten te zijn. DUTCH: Ik ben zeer verantwoordelijk, ben dol op honden, het uitlaten, spelen en met ze knuffelen. Ik pas mij gemakkelijk aan de regels waar je huisdier al aan gewend is. Ik pas het liefst op honden die max. een half uur per x uit moeten (al ben ik dol op af en toe een lange wandeling te maken). Het enige waar ik mee heb, is 'valse' honden, ofwel honden die agressief zijn aangelegd waar je erg streng tegen moet zijn. Ik laat zeker zien wie 'de leider' is, maar vind het fijn om onbezorgd de hond uit te kunnen laten. Ik ben in het algemeen een dierenliefhebber, dus voor katten of andere dieren mag je me ook zeker benaderen! Ik heb de meeste ervaring met honden, katten, konijnen en vogels. Locaties: Amsterdam west (hoge voorkeur), Amsterdam centrum & zuid, Amstelveen. Locaties inc. gebruik mogelijk van een auto: Haarlem, Overveen, Amsterdam noord, Amsterdam oost en zuidoost. Talen: Ik spreek Engels, Spaans en Nederlands vloeiend. Reviews: Ik heb nog niet eerder via petbnb aan housesitting gedaan maar kan je voorzien van meerdere positieve reviews die ik via andere wijze heb gevonden! --- ENGLISH: I am very responsible, love dogs, walking them, playing and cuddling them. I easily adapt to the rules that your pet is already used to. I prefer to take care of dogs that need to be out for a maximum of half an hour each time (although I love to take a long walk every now and then). The only thing I have a problem with is 'cheat' dogs, or dogs that are aggressive and you have to be very strict with them. I certainly show who 'the leader' is, but I like being able to walk the dog without any worries. I am an animal lover in general, so you can definitely contact me for cats or other animals!
