Hi Dog Parent, I'm Sanika and I've lived in a few countries including India, USA and moved early 2021 to the Netherlands. I grew up always having dogs and have this fond unconditional love for fur babies! Both my husband and I spend more time looking at dog videos on instagram & tiktok than regular people videos lol. I enjoy going for a daily walks around Westerpark regularly and Houthavens is my absolute favorite to meet our dog friends and enjoy the nature. I regular sit for friends, colleagues and my neighbor when they need to travel or are unavailable. I have a hybrid work set-up as a Product Manager and have flexiblity working from home several days a week, therefore I can drop by before or after work and occasionaly if you need, during as well to walk your dog(s), visit them or house-sit them. I keep my avilability calendar up to date and you'll see most of my weekends are open. Our apartment is dog friendly and happy to sit them or board them at my place if they are well trained. In our search for a calm but secure sitter we found Sanika and Arjan here in Petbnb. Raiku is a white shepherd with a complete manual so to speak (but he will be "that guy" just to suprise you) - but when he is in his comfort zone he is a fairly relaxed white 1 year old shepherd. He took a day to settle in (which is really short for a white shepherd, so kuddos right there) - and after that Raiku was his own relaxed self again. Besides the easy click you will get honest updates, and pictures! According to Raiku the view was amazing! Bonusstars for that! Thank you again! Vivianne and Harald

Grote dierenvriend met veel liefde over

Mijn naam is Jiska en zolang ik mij kan herinneren is mijn liefde en passie voor dieren heel groot! Vanaf kleins af aan hadden wij al katten bij mijn ouders thuis, waar nu nog steeds een rode rakker genaamd Bowie rondloopt. De liefde voor andere dieren was er altijd ook al, en is ook de grootste reden waarom ik voor al m’n vrienden en vriendinnen de oppas voor hun huisdieren ben. De dieren waar ik vooral op pas zijn dan ook katten en honden. De liefde voor honden werd nóg groter toen mijn schoonouders een labradoodle kregen. Toen kwam ik er achter wat voor onvoorwaardelijke liefde zo’n beestje je kan geven. En daarnaast ook nog eens gezelligheid & vrolijkheid. Met alle liefde passen wij vaak genoeg op deze lieve doodle genaamd Otis. Helaas wonen wij in een appartement en zijn wij nog onregelmatig van huis waardoor wij (nog) geen dieren kunnen hebben. Ik mis dus een beetje dierenliefde en pas ik graag op die van jou! En ik wandel graag… Wat is er leuker om dat met een harig maatje te doen?

Iris looked after our two dogs, Maggie and Britian, while we were away on holiday, and she was absolutely wonderful. One of our dogs is unwell and required special care and close, watchful attention, and Iris handled this with incredible care, calmness, and responsibility. Both dogs clearly adored her — they were happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when we returned. She walked them twice a day, kept us updated with regular messages and photos, and it was incredibly reassuring to see how attentive and thoughtful she was throughout our time away. On top of that, we came home to a clean and well-looked-after house. Iris is caring, reliable, and genuinely kind, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs and home were in such good hands. Shelter Dogs | Animal Behaviour Student

Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. I help with socialization, basic training, and supporting dogs with different behavioral needs. I’ve completed training focused on fearful and reactive dogs, as well as an 8-week course tailored to an individual dog’s needs. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. Spending time with other dogs is one of the ways I still feel close to him and I know he’d be happy to see me doing this. ❤️ Having loved Milo as much as I did, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. So no worries, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little updates along the way. 😊 I live with my boyfriend, and we both have flexible schedules. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun. The Biggest Animal Lover You’ll Ever Meet

I grew up with all types of animals back in North Carolina, from dogs to lizards, you name it. I learned how to care for creatures, big to small, whether they were my own pets or not. While living in Amsterdam for 9 years I have taken on a few opportunities to pet sit and loved it. Rowie was de eerste “vreemde” oppas voor onze poezen tijdens onze vakantie, en wat ons betreft zeker een blijvertje. Ze kwam dagelijks langs om ze te verzorgen en nam echt de tijd om aandacht te geven. We werden goed op de hoogte gehouden met berichtjes, leuke foto’s en filmpjes. Op die van de eerste dag was al te zien dat de poezen haar meteen in vertrouwen hadden genomen. Het gaf ons een heel fijn gevoel om zo op vakantie te gaan. Bedankt voor de goede zorgen, Rowie! In mijn gezellige woning op de 2e verdieping vlak aan het Erasmuspark is een plekje vrij voor een oppashond! Ik werk regelmatig thuis en ben vrij flexibel met mijn werkplekken, en dat combineer ik graag met het gezelschap van een oppashond. Mijn kantoor is dog-friendly en mijn collega’s vinden het altijd super leuk als ik een oppashond meeneem, dus aandacht en knuffels in overvloed! Logeren mag ten slotte bij mij thuis, of ik kom gezellig op bezoek in de vertrouwde omgeving van jouw hond. Als groot dierenliefhebber help ik graag mensen bij het oppassen van hun huisdieren. Ik heb momenteel bijna 5 jaar ervaring met het oppassen van honden en katten en doe dit met veel plezier. Huisdierenparadijs

Wij zijn een zorgzaam stel dat samenwoont met onze kleine hond Rula, een vrolijk teefje van 5 kilo. We wonen in een comfortabel appartement met een ruime en zonnige terras, perfect voor ontspannen momenten samen.
