Voor honden die van rust houden

In 2020 adopteerde ik mijn lieve, wat onzekere River, uit Roemenië. Een middelgrote kruising die mensen vaak op een klein herdertje vinden lijken. Sinds 2023 woon ik in een parterrewoning met fijne tuin. Ik vind het leuk om zo af en toe op honden te passen en tegelijkertijd een beetje gezelschap voor River te hebben. Ik ben Zzper en werk veel thuis. Maar voor vaste wekelijkse opvang ben ik niet beschikbaar Behalve River en ik zijn er geen andere bewoners. Dat maakt het lekker rustig. River kan nog behoorlijk speels en energiek zijn, maar in huis is ze tevreden in haar mandje. De tuin is helemaal afgesloten met schuttingen en muren. Ik heb de afgelopen vier jaar veel gelezen en filmpjes gekeken over het begeleiden van honden met onzeker gedrag en ook een coachingstraject gehad met River. Ik geloof in de BAT-theorie (behavior adjustment) die uitgaat van goed gedrag stimuleren en ik volgde de online cursus Trust Technique. Ik geloof niet in dominantie en wil voor de hond de betrouwbare leider/coach zijn. Ik ben benieuwd om jouw hond te leren kennen. Voor een eerste keer maak ik graag een kennismakingsafspraak. Let op: - de agenda staat open voor twee honden per keer. Dat doe ik echter alleen als ik de honden ken en weet dat het om makkelijke honden gaat. Voor River zijn dat al snel teveel prikkels. - voor vakanties ben ik in principe niet beschikbaar. Mocht je op korte termijn oppas nodig hebben voor een weekend of langer, dan kun je altijd even een berichtje sturen. Dan kan ik kijken of er toch iets mogelijk is.

A second home for your dog

Hi! I’ve always loved dogs, and being around animals has been an important part of my life. I grew up in a family with dogs, so caring for them has always felt natural to me. Before moving to the Netherlands, I regularly took care of my brother’s dog, Nala (she’s the one in my profile picture!). We spent lots of time together going on walks, playing, and keeping a fun routine at home. One of our favorite games was hide-and-seek, and I also loved teaching her little tricks. Since moving here, I really miss having pets in my daily life. Right now, my lifestyle doesn’t allow me to have a dog of my own, but I would love to share my time and home with yours. I live with my partner, and we would both be very happy to welcome your dog and treat them like part of our family. We’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and truly at home with us.

We had a great experience with Lucia! She was very caring and attentive, and kept us updated throughout Luna’s stay with lots of photos and videos. We also ended up picking Luna up a few hours later than planned, and she was very understanding and flexible about it. We would definitely book with her again!

Dieren geven mij liefde in het leven. Ik heb altijd katten thuis gehad, totdat ik in Delft ging studeren. My boyfriend Gaetano also loves dogs (sometimes even more than me haha), and we sometimes take care of dogs together when our friends go on holiday. Cuddling with a happy cat or dog makes our day. Cats always let me give them pets 🤭

I have always had pets at home since I was a child (from cats, to guinea pigs, to even a rabit and a duck once!). Currently, I unfortunately cannot have pets at home in the Netherlands because of my housing agreement... no pets allowed 🫤. But I miss it so much and I say all the time to my partner "I really wish I could get a cat!". My best days are when my neighbour's cat is outside the house in the sun and I can just give it some pets. Back in my homecountry I still have three awesome and super cute cats at my parents' house. Of dat nu in de vorm van een kat of een hond is, maakt mij niet veel uit. Ik vind beide dieren leuk! In mijn ouderlijk huis ben ik opgegroeid in een gezellige beestenbende. We hadden een hond (recent: Heidewachtel, vroeger: Vlinderhondje), 4 katten, konijnen, kippen en cavia’s. Ik heb zelf één van onze honden opgevoed en ik ben ermee op cursus gegaan (de Heidewachtel, een jachtras). Onze poes is tweemaal zwanger geweest, waarvan ze één nestje heeft verworpen. Deze kittens heb ik toen ook verzorgd en gevoed. Kortom: ik ben praktisch opgegroeid als dierenverzorger. Later, als uitgevlogen vogel uit het ouderlijk nest, had ik helaas geen mogelijkheid tot huisdieren ivm verbod door huisbaas. Gelukkig kan ik af en toe oppassen op de katten van mijn ouders en de kat en Appenzeller Sennenhond van een vriendin. Maar ik mis de regelmatige, dierlijke connectie enorm. Honden en katten maken mij blij en ik merk de connectie met ze. Zij voelen dat bij mij aan, vaak lopen honden uit zichzelf vrolijk op mij af om hallo te zeggen en te snuffelen. Ik kan het dan natuurlijk niet weerstaan om even een aai over zijn/haar bol te geven. Met katten weet ik heel goed te herkennen wanneer zij aandacht willen en wanneer zij hun eigen ding willen doen. Ik woon dichtbij het Haagse Bos en vind het heerlijk om met een hond door het bos te wandelen. Doordeweeks werk ik, maar ik mag van mijn werkgever veel thuiswerken. Mijn werk kan ik overal waar WiFi is uitvoeren, dus ook bij jouw huisdier. Tussendoor en tegelijk met mijn werkzaamheden kan ik je hond uitlaten, met je hond/kat spelen en aandacht geven. Mijn kantoorrooster is zodanig flexibel dat ik bijvoorbeeld elke maandag voor je geliefde huisdier kan zorgen. We kunnen hier uiteraard goed contact over hebben wat jouw wensen zijn! The dog friend you can count on

Here's a story: every week while I'm having my coffee by the window there's a dog who smoothly rushes her way to the corner of the street to hide behind a pole so she can sneaky scare her owner when she approaches, and does a little "got ya" dance after. Every week with same joy! These are some of the moments that make my day. My name is Lidija and I look forward to spend quality time with your dog. For someone who had a dog and is not able to have one now, I feel "at home" meeting different characters & bond with your beloved dog. I dogsitted occasionally during the last few years since I moved to The Hague. Nature walks are my thing and my neighboorhood is luckily close to pet friendly spots. I spend weekdays at my pottery atelier and bring the dogs along, where they chill on a blanket or sofa.
