In our search for a calm but secure sitter we found Sanika and Arjan here in Petbnb. Raiku is a white shepherd with a complete manual so to speak (but he will be "that guy" just to suprise you) - but when he is in his comfort zone he is a fairly relaxed white 1 year old shepherd. He took a day to settle in (which is really short for a white shepherd, so kuddos right there) - and after that Raiku was his own relaxed self again. Iris looked after our two dogs, Maggie and Britian, while we were away on holiday, and she was absolutely wonderful. One of our dogs is unwell and required special care and close, watchful attention, and Iris handled this with incredible care, calmness, and responsibility. Both dogs clearly adored her — they were happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when we returned. She walked them twice a day, kept us updated with regular messages and photos, and it was incredibly reassuring to see how attentive and thoughtful she was throughout our time away. On top of that, we came home to a clean and well-looked-after house. Iris is caring, reliable, and genuinely kind, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs and home were in such good hands. Shelter Dogs | Animal Behaviour Student

Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. Spending time with other dogs is one of the ways I still feel close to him and I know he’d be happy to see me doing this. ❤️ Having loved Milo as much as I did, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. So no worries, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little updates along the way. 😊 I live with my boyfriend, and we both have flexible schedules. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun. I have a lovely cat who is almost 3 years old. I once fostered a cat for a friend for three weeks. They got along well during that time. They brought me a lot of happiness, and I used my camera to record those happy moments. My cat has a good temper. He currently gets along well with some cats. When the cat was fostered at my house, I put raw beef that my cat liked. I saw my cat touching noses with the cat before eating the beef, as if calling him to eat together. Then the cat came over and sniffed the beef and walked away. Maybe he didn’t like beef. But this scene surprised me. I usually play with my cat at night.

I grew up with all types of animals back in North Carolina, from dogs to lizards, you name it. I learned how to care for creatures, big to small, whether they were my own pets or not.
