I grew up surrounded by pets back home; they were my best buddies, my stress-relievers, and just part of daily life. Moving here, I really missed that warm, joyful pet energy, and that’s what inspired me to become a pet sitter. This isn’t your typical pet boarding service — I take in only one pet at a time, so your furry friend gets a real second home, not just a spot in a crowded house. Spending time with these sweet little angels genuinely brightens my day, and I’d love to share that same care and affection with your companion. Ook dan zal ik alles doen wat je huisdieren nodig hebben. Dit kan in principe overal in Nederland, zolang je huis bereikbaar is met het openbaar vervoer. Of ik nou elke dag bij je langsga of bij je logeer, als het nodig is kan ik ook een paar kleine taken uitvoeren, zoals de planten water geven of de post uit de brievenbus houden. Mijn naam is Maya, 40 jaar, geadopteerd uit Colombia en woonachtig in Rotterdam (Oude Westen). Ik ben een gevoelig en intuïtief mens met een diepe, levenslange liefde voor dieren. Voor mij zijn dieren geen huisdieren – ze zijn familie. Bij hen voel ik rust, verbinding en een natuurlijke vorm van communicatie, soms zelfs alsof we dezelfde taal spreken. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik op verschillende plekken in Nederland gezorgd voor honden en katten (regelmatig in hun eigen vertrouwde omgeving in huis) Van Texel tot in de stad – overal ben ik met open armen en poten ontvangen. Honden en katten zijn me het meest dierbaar: ik speel graag met ze, wandel, knuffel en ben gewoon graag samen, in stilte of in gezelligheid. Als een hond avontuurlijk is en houdt van boswandelingen of hiken, dan ga ik graag mee op pad. Zelf heb ik op dit moment geen dieren. Juist daardoor voelt het zorgen voor andermans dieren voor mij extra waardevol en kan ik mijn aandacht volledig aan hen geven. Een kleine tot middelgrote, rustige hond (die niet veel verhaart) mag eventueel ook bij mij thuis verblijven als dat voor beide kanten goed voelt. Houd er wel rekening mee dat ik op de derde verdieping woon en dat er steile, smalle trappen zijn. Kleine honden kan ik dragen, middelgrote en grote honden moeten zelf de trap op kunnen. Mijn voorkeur gaat vaak uit naar oppassen aan huis, zodat het dier zich het meest comfortabel voelt in zijn of haar eigen vertrouwde omgeving. Naast het oppassen ben ik een creatief mens en werk ik met energie o.a. door muziek en zang. Ik begeleid ceremonies en workshops binnen het veld van bewustzijn. Muziek en het samenzijn met dieren zijn voor mij twee van de meest natuurlijke vormen van verbinding en aanwezigheid. Dieren reageren vaak heel ontspannen op mijn rustige en zachte energie. Het komt regelmatig voor dat een hond of kat die als wat schuw of gevoelig wordt omschreven, bij mij toch snel tot rust komt en contact zoekt. Met veel geduld neem ik de tijd om een dier echt te leren kennen en me af te stemmen op wat het nodig heeft – of dat nu spelen, wandelen of gewoon rustig samen zijn is. 🚆 Reizen met het OV is voor mij geen probleem – met een reiskostenvergoeding ben ik beschikbaar in verschillende regio’s. 🏡 Voor house sitting met een hond en of kat ben ik beschikbaar voor zowel korte als langere periodes. 🧼 Ik ben een zeer schoon, bewust en respectvol persoon. 🌱 Ik leef al jaren (10 jaar) veganistisch, vanuit mijn liefde en respect voor dieren en mijn eigen gezondheid. 🇳🇱🇬🇧 Ik spreek zowel Nederlands als Engels vloeiend en 🇨🇴 Spaans een kleine beetje. Right now I am the brother of the cutest and -thanks to my mom- the fattest cats in the world that are staying in Istanbul. Although at the time I was able to get dogs and cats in my house, due to my new housing contract, unfortunately I am not allowed to do that for some time right now. I am very attentive at feeding hours if there's any preffered and set hours for your pet in that matter. Additionally, I am very active person that frequently exercises. So, I'd like to have your cute friend in those frequent walks/joggings by my side. Also, your pet will be pretty free (even encouraged) to relax with me on the couch if it's allowed. If the weather is nice and if you are okay with it, I can just get your pet and take them to the park for whole day too. I am very polite and I am very flexible with my working hours. I have never been a risk-taker at any point or context in my life. So, if I suspect something may be threatening or harmful for your pet, I either get rid of that threat or I bring your pet to safety because it's better to be safe than sorry. I hope and believe that I can be a worthy caregiver to your adorable friend/child/family member with four legs. A loving home and a genuine care for every paw

Hi, I'm Carla! Animals have always had a very special place in my life. Being around them makes me genuinely happy, and becoming a pet sitter is a way for me to spend more time doing something that truly fulfils me. My inspiration One of the biggest reasons behind this step is Zara, my American Bulldog. She was sweet, gentle and incredibly sociable, although, like the great lady she was , she could also be a little temperamental and selective! Zara taught me so much about respecting an animal's individual personality, needs and boundaries. When she passed away in October 2025, she left a huge space in my life. Her loss also made me realise how much being around animals means to me. It gave me an even stronger desire to spend my time caring for, learning from and simply being close to other animals. We also share our home with Bully, an American bully size pocket, a very special member of our family. I believe it's important to be completely transparent: we have a dog living in our home. For this reason, every dog staying with us will be carefully introduced and assessed beforehand to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I don't want to fill my home with as many dogs as possible. I prefer to offer a calm, loving family environment where every dog receives individual attention and care. A garden to play, relax and simply be a dog We have a large garden where dogs can enjoy the outdoors, play, explore and have some freedom. My garden is completely enclosed and secure, with mostly grass, giving dogs plenty of space to relax, explore and enjoy some outdoor time. I also enjoy providing mental enrichment activities, adapted to each dog's personality and needs. After all, keeping their minds active can be just as important or more then physical exercise! And of course, sometimes the best activity is doing absolutely nothing just simply relaxing on the grass and enjoying a little sun, when the Dutch weather allows it! Above all, I value the safety of every dog in my care. Our garden has been prepared with this in mind, so dogs can enjoy their time outside in a safe environment. My experience All my life i had contact with animals like dogs, cats, birds and even a very naughty parrot. Living with and caring for my own dogs has taught me a lot about routines, wellbeing and the importance of noticing even the smallest changes. I also have practical experience with dogs with allergies and sensitive skin, including skin-care routines and ongoing maintenance. Any specific care is always provided according to the owner's instructions and, where necessary, veterinary guidance. How I can help Loving home boarding for dogs, following a prior introduction Doggy day care Pet sitting and companionship Dog walks I enjoy taking dogs on calm walks through quite green surroundings, with canals and open spaces nearby. Every dog on my care will have 3 walks per day at least. There are also designated areas where dogs can safety enjoy some off- leash time. For safety reasons, i prefer to keep dogs on a leash during walks. The length of each walk depends on the will, energy and how much dog is having fun but in general, each walk lasts around 30 minutes, giving the dog a calm, relaxed moment. Home visits Feeding according to your pet's routine. Medication administration when clearly instructed. Can be daily skin care routine, pills or another type of medication. Playtime and mental enrichment Basic hygiene care. For over night stays, I have comfortable beds and crates available if necessary, depending on each dog's needs and what they are used to. Regular photo and video updates, ALWAYS For cats: Unfortunately, I can't host cats in my home because we have Bully, but I would be very happy to care for them in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. What matters most to me I know how difficult it can be to leave our pets in someone else's care. They are not "just animals", they are family. That's why I like to get to know every pet before caring for them. I want to understand their personality, routine, likes, dislikes and individual needs. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, respected and happy while you're away and to give you peace of mind knowing they are being cared for with genuine attention and affection. I highly recommend Carla Alao as a pet caregiver. She absolutely loves animals and has a natural, deeply affectionate way of bonding with them. She is incredibly gentle, patient, and understanding, always putting the animal’s comfort and well-being first. Besides her loving nature, she is extremely responsible and trustworthy. In the past, I have had my own pets and have been responsible for feeding and walking them, as well as have helped other family members and friends by walking their dogs, feeding while they are away and even bathing them after a muddy day or a play date outside. My job is based working from home full time time so I am available to help you with your needs of feeding, walking and playing with your babies all day long. I live in a great apartment, without a garden but I have access to a nearby park as well as plenty of grassy areas right outside of the building.
