Iris looked after our two dogs, Maggie and Britian, while we were away on holiday, and she was absolutely wonderful. One of our dogs is unwell and required special care and close, watchful attention, and Iris handled this with incredible care, calmness, and responsibility. Both dogs clearly adored her — they were happy, relaxed, and very well cared for when we returned. She walked them twice a day, kept us updated with regular messages and photos, and it was incredibly reassuring to see how attentive and thoughtful she was throughout our time away. On top of that, we came home to a clean and well-looked-after house. Iris is caring, reliable, and genuinely kind, and we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs and home were in such good hands. Ruby came by for an introduction a week ago and stayed in our house this weekend to take care of the cats and dog, she did a wonderful job, even though the dog is not easy, she is a puller and loves to chase birds, but Ruby managed really well! Ruby gave us regular updates with pics and videos, and left the house very neat. We would definitely ask her again, she is great, we came home to find very happy pets!! 😍

Shelter Dogs | Animal Behaviour Student

Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. I help with socialization, basic training, and supporting dogs with different behavioral needs. I’ve completed training focused on fearful and reactive dogs, as well as an 8-week course tailored to an individual dog’s needs. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. Spending time with other dogs is one of the ways I still feel close to him and I know he’d be happy to see me doing this. ❤️ Having loved Milo as much as I did, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. So no worries, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little updates along the way. 😊 I live with my boyfriend, and we both have flexible schedules. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun. I have a lovely cat who is almost 3 years old. I once fostered a cat for a friend for three weeks. They got along well during that time. They brought me a lot of happiness, and I used my camera to record those happy moments. My cat has a good temper. He currently gets along well with some cats. When the cat was fostered at my house, I put raw beef that my cat liked. I saw my cat touching noses with the cat before eating the beef, as if calling him to eat together. Then the cat came over and sniffed the beef and walked away. Maybe he didn’t like beef. But this scene surprised me. I usually play with my cat at night.

I grew up with all types of animals back in North Carolina, from dogs to lizards, you name it. I learned how to care for creatures, big to small, whether they were my own pets or not. While living in Amsterdam for 9 years I have taken on a few opportunities to pet sit and loved it. Now that I have two cats (one even had kittens last summer!) at home, I sadly can’t do boarding like I used to, but I’m happy to get outside for some fresh air with a walk or two, and pop by a home to check on the fur babies. Since the day I was born, I have always lived with an animal. I have cared for many different animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, budgies, fish, turtles, parrots, and hamsters. Goedendag! Bent u op zoek naar een hondenoppas? Ik ben beschikbaar in de weekenden en vaak ook door de weeks. Voor logeren, uitlaten in Buitenveldert of directe omgeving. Ik woon vlakbij het Amsterdamse Bos en een aantal parken in Zuid. Zelf heb ik Staffords gehad en ervaring met in een rustige en kalme sfeer honden tot hun recht te laten komen. You're pet's second favourite human

Although i don't have experience in petsitting, I have had a few of dogs and cats throughout my childhood. We had a boerboel, Rhodesian ridgeback, Jackrussel, Pomeranian and one cat, I had a tendency surprise my parents with animals they didnt know would live with us. Animals are part of my personality at this point, I am often heard saying ''auuuuuw" when i see a dog or cat on the sidewalk. At the moment I have plenty of free time(the whole day) to be available to your furry friend. I enjoy hiking but for the elderly I wouldn't mind sitting on the couch with them.
