Mijn ervaring met honden is altijd goed geweest, houd er van om de hond tijdens het wandelen de volledige aandacht te geven. Denk aan oefeningen tot het gooien van speeltjes of natuurlijk takken. Het is tijdens de wandeling even het feestje van de hond, dus zo min mogelijk afleidingen. Zelf ben ik erg rustig met honden en zal mijn relatie met de hond altijd baseren op vertrouwen en niet op domineren. Liefst als de hond het kan ga ik ook ergens op een mooie plek wandelen. Bijvoorbeeld in het bos of op het strand, zodat de hond lekker zijn energie kwijt kan. Bespreek dus ook graag de mogelijkheden.

Tom is gek op dieren! Onze hond springt altijd een gat in de lucht als hij bij ons langskomt en kwispelt dan bijna zijn staart eraf! Tom vindt het heel leuk om met honden een lange wandeling te maken en dan met ze te ravotten of te trainen.

Home away from home!

I live with my husband, who love dogs as much as I do and also have experience taking care of them & we love having a furry friend at our place to shower lot of love! I have been on other petsitting apps , where I have taken care of almost 10-15 dogs for the past 3 years. I moved to Amsterdam recently from Rotterdam and we live in a Pet-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space for long walks! Me and my husband are both dog lovers and grew up with dogs around. We want a dog of our own, but currently we live in a rental apartment and we both work a lot. We think that right now our lives are to volatile to raise a pup, but we never let the chance of dogsitting slip away when our friends need some help 🌸 I got to know very different dogs in my life and I understand that they might need patience and different approaches. I knew dogs that suffer from anxiety, some are just goofballs that need a lot of entertainment and some of them can be really uptight and defensive. But there is nothing more rewarding than earning a dogs trust. For example, here in Amsterdam I am regularly taking care of my friends foster dog. She’s been through a lot of hardships in life, but after a while I was finally able to earn her trust and my friend can travel on the weekends 🥰 I see dogsitting as a wonderful opportunity for me to share the love for dogs and support dog owners, while currently our life situation doesn’t allow us to adopt one ourselves.
