During this time, I had the chance to meet and care for dogs of all kinds — different sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. Wij zoeken een lieve oppashond om af en toe voor te zorgen. Wij zijn een gezin van 4 en gek op honden. Onze kinderen : Benthe en Noud zijn 6 en 11 jaar oud. Belangrijk is dat ons oppashondje het gezellig vindt om met kinderen om te gaan/ te spelen. Wij hebben een fijne tuin waar de hond lekker ook even buiten kan spelen en wonen in een hele mooie omgeving in Kortenhoef. Wij wonen sinds paar maanden in Kortenhoef en waren druk met verbouwing . en nu hebben wij weer tijd om aandacht aan de hondjes te besteden. Check-in en uit tijden voor dagopvang zijn in overleg ook zeker flexibel. Momenteel laat ik ook 1x per week een hondje uit die in de buurt woont. Dus dat is ook geen enkel probleem als je daar naar opzoek bent. Wij vinden het prettig om een band met het hondje op te bouwen voordat het hondje komt slapen. Dus meteen logeren / lange vakantie keur ik helaas meteen af. Stuur mij gerust een berichtje om de opties te bespreken! Wie weet tot gauw!

I have had dogs my whole life, they were my whole life. I moved from the English countryside to Amsterdam. It is now more difficult for me to commit to owning a dog full time. So, what better way than to spread my love for dogs, with all the dogs out there that need a new friend. Whether that is for a walk, a night, a weekend stay or a week. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing dogs live their best life. I now live looking over a huge park, watching the dogs run around makes me miss spending time with my pups. I work from home, meaning I am available for all your dogs needs and am able to take them for long walks, if thats what they like in the dog friendly park. If that's not what your pup prefers and they just like to chill in the sun chewing on some watermelon, that's also great for me. I want them to enjoy being here as much as I enjoy having them.

We left Luna for the first time and were very worried at first. But all our worries disappeared when we met Jadina and her partner! They are so kind and took amazing care of Luna. They kept sending us pictures every day, so we knew she was doing well. We were so happy that Luna was with them, and we’ll definitely leave her with them again next time we’re away :)

Plusha had a great time this summer staying with Maria & Pedro for 10 days. They have an adorable rescue of their own and therefore were well equipped to take care of Plusha. They maintained regular communication and I could see Plusha having a great vacation with them and enjoying the company of their dog. The neighbourhood is also great for dogs as there are lots of walking areas around . I would sudden then highly, and I am sure Plusha would love to visit them again.

Energieke hondenliefhebber zoekt leuke oppashond

Ik ben mijn hele leven lang omringd met huisdieren thuis, waaronder twee hele lieve hondjes: Max en Lodewijk. Yorkshire terriër hondje Max hebben we nog een mooi laatste jaren kunnen geven toen we hem adopteerden, maar ook geleerd om met getraumatiseerde/bange honden om te gaan. Daarna kregen we puppy Lodewijk, een mix van Maltezer en Shih tzu, die ik heb mogen opvoeden en hondentrainingen mee heb gedaan. Na tien jaar is Lodie er niet meer en nu mis het enorm om soms voor een hond te zorgen, uit te laten, mee te spelen in Amsterdam. Ik ben dol op bijna elke soort hond, maar als het mogelijk is om op te passen op een teckel zou dat geweldig zijn. Ik denk graag mee in hoe de veiligheid van de hond verbeterd kan worden zodat er vertrouwen is van beide kanten zowel thuis als tijdens het uitlaten. Een goede voorbereiding is het halve werk ;) Momenteel ben ik veel beschikbaar en lijkt het me heel leuk om die tijd te besteden aan oppassen op honden. Dus zoek je een energiek, lief en betrouwbare oppas die weet hoe ze met honden omgaat en grenzen kan stellen, neem dan vooral contact op met mij!

Elaine is heel betrouwbaar, vriendelijk en Monty heeft heerlijke lange wandelingen met haar gehad. Een aanrader!

Dol op honden – wandelen & knuffelen in Ams

Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en ben echt een enorme hondenliefhebber. Thuis hadden we twee lieve labradoodles, dus wandelen, spelen, verzorgen en vooral heel veel knuffelen met honden is voor mij altijd heel vanzelfsprekend geweest. 🐾 Met mijn baan als consultant lukt het me helaas niet om zelf fulltime een hond te hebben, hoe graag ik dat ook zou willen. Ik pas nog vaak op de honden van mijn ouders wanneer zij op vakantie zijn en in Amsterdam zorg ik ook regelmatig voor de honden van vrienden. Ik heb daardoor veel ervaring met het verzorgen van honden en weet hoe belangrijk het is dat een hond zich veilig, ontspannen en op zijn gemak voelt bij iemand anders. Ik wandel zelf graag en vind het heerlijk om samen op pad te gaan, maar ben minstens zo blij met een gezellige avond op de bank en een hond die graag komt knuffelen. Voor mij is oppassen dan ook echt iets waar ik veel plezier uit haal – en niet alleen een manier om een extra zakcentje te verdienen 🐶

Hey hallo! Wij willen jou, en vooral jouw trouwe viervoeter, een zeer warm welkom heten in ons nieuwe “GrandPaw Hotel”. Mijn naam is Arnaud, en samen met mijn lieve vriendin Emma, zijn wij vorig jaar naar Loosdrecht verhuisd, voor een prachtig nieuw avontuur met de leukste honden uit de omgeving! Zelf hebben wij altijd honden in huis gehad vroeger. Het is dan ook niet zo gek dat wij helemaal wild zijn van alles wat kwispelt, knuffelt en apporteert. 3 jaar geleden stonden wij echter opeens voor een groot dilemma. Wij woonden net samen, wilden een hond nemen, maar helaas konden wij het totaal niet eens worden over wat voor een hond we wilden! Zodoende was er maar 1 oplossing: We moesten alle rassen uitproberen! Nu spoelen we 3 jaar door, en zijn we tot een bijzondere conclusie gekomen, de ideale hond is er niet, want ze zijn allemaal leuk! Met ons verhuizen naar Loosdrecht, wilden we het zelfs nog beter aanpakken. Nu hebben we een grote tuin waarin de pups kunnen rondrennen, en zitten we aan de bosrand tussen Loosdrecht en Hilversum. En om ons nieuwe verblijf wat kracht bij te zetten, hebben wij ons huis vernoemd naar de de brombeer waarmee ons honden avontuur is begonnen: Bruce, de Opa van “The grandPaw Hotel”

Arnaud and Emma are fantastic hosts. Communicate very well, understand dogs well and are lovely people. Highly recommended!

Dog whisperer with lots of experience!

Please read all the info below before making your booking! I have been around and taken care of dogs my entire life. We had two dogs when I was a child I was trusted taking care of and walk during my lunch breaks at school from a very young age. My family travelled a lot when I was young and wherever we went I would find packs of street dogs to play with, which now when I’m a parent sounds insane (and quite dangerous) but it very much shaped how I see and relate to dogs and taught me how to communicate, read body language and understand pack dynamic. I have adopted and fostered many dogs throughout my life, and have been watching and training dogs for friends and family over the years many times. Also very interested in dog psychology and behaviour in general, and their inner workings is a genuine interest for me. Dog sitting is my full time job, I’m very good at it and take it seriously. I usually spend most of my days outside with the dogs I have, it’s great for exercise and socialising and we all enjoy fresh air and sunshine. I also enjoy to bring them along for outings or other activities since I love the company. My kids are at school during the day so I have lots of time and I really enjoy walking and being outside so it’s absolutely not a chore. Different dogs have different needs of course and I do my best to accommodate that. I love biking with dogs since you can sort of “play run” together and it’s a great way to get a lot of exercise for high energy dogs, and even if a dog is not used to running next to a bike, most get the hang of it fast and I am of course very careful to make sure there’s no accidents. My house is also full of toys, activity puzzles and games, it’s important they get mental simulation as well physical. My kids are good and calm with animals, and love dogs so they are delighted about weekend stays but of course they don’t walk them and I generally don’t leave my kids alone with the dogs I host. Our cat Styx, a Maine Coon male, is raised around dogs and makes friends with most of them given a bit of time, even dogs that otherwise goes nuts when they see a cat outside! We live in a house with a lift so larger or older dogs doesn’t have to climb down stairs, the flat itself has three floors so easy and spacious with the cat living upstairs and visiting dogs downstairs. Some dogs I have regularly of course get upstairs privileges when we’re all comfortable together and maybe aren’t covered in mud! The size of the flat does also mean I can easily keep dogs and cats separated so there’s never been an issue in all the years I’ve been doing this. The downstairs floor is also large enough to keep dogs separated if necessary, I have lots of fences and baby gates I can set up. The terrace is great for fresh air and playtime. We also live very close to many green areas suitable for off leash walking, biking and swimming. I have experience with and really enjoy large dogs and don’t mind being out entire days with wolf/working breeds if they need it. My philosophy is that a dog that is provided a lot of exercise, play, boundaries, structure and a calm and assertive pack leader will be a happy and balanced one! Please note! -Do provide food, toys, chew bones, treats and toilet bags for your dogs visit. If requested I can provide this but will ask to be refunded for any additional expenses. I have lots of bowls, towels and beds etc so no need to bring that. -If your dog needs a lot of special attention, is not fully house trained or have a very labour intensive schedule you need to inform me of this in advance so we can discuss. Also if your dog can’t be together with other dogs or off leash I need to know before we finalise the booking. -I can’t accept dogs with severe behavioural problems or that barks a lot. If there are undisclosed issues like aggression, barking or destructive/unmanageable behaviour I reserve the right to terminate the booking and request you to find another arrangements for the rest of the stay, or I will ask an extra fee so be aware of this. Please don’t downplay issues since that will only cause trouble for everyone involved later on. -I will accept bookings for cats if they are spayed/neutered and very good with other cats, dogs and kids.
