Happy Day Care with Dog George

Hi! I currently work from home with my little dog George and I would love to take care of another dog during the day or for an over night stay(s) to help out other dog parents when they may need a good home for their four-pawed friend. I used to have 2 larger dogs and am now living with little George in Amsterdam. George is a 9kg Kooiker Mix Rescue from Spain (5 years old & castrated) and very good and playful especially with small and midsize dogs. Some upfront check whether the dogs are getting along fine is needed, a casual walk would be ideal. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Miso had a lovely time with Jasmine and George. We had a very useful meet & greet beforehand, the communication throughout was clear and timely, and I got some cute photos. Jasmine is clearly experienced with dogs and I had zero hesitation in entrusting her with mine. An excellent experience.

Couple with lifetime experience around dogs

Hello! Since birth I have been around dogs, starting with a Maltese terrier for 8 years. After that, we had a Bernese mountain dog for 10 years. Only two years ago we added a Hungarian vizsla to the family, all very different breeds of dogs yet all equally loved and cared for. We are two 24-year-old students studying from home, with plenty of free time to take care of your dog and shower it with all the love and affection it needs. Playful, loving, down-to-earth & good communicator

I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I work in the fashion industry in a creative job. - I currently work full time and commute, so only my weekends are available. - We have an elevator in our building, if we are dog sitting in our apartment.

Oppas in Amsterdam Centrum!

Ik wandel heel graag met honden/katten en het is tegelijkertijd een momentje voor mezelf om naar buiten te kunnen tijdens het thuiswerken. Ik hou op dit moment nog teveel van reizen en weekendjes weggaan, dus zelf een huisdier nemen is nog niet the right timing voor mij. Mijn ouders hebben een labrador en katten, mijn beste vriendin een toypoodle en een goede vriend van mij een stafford. Op allen pas ik zo nu en dan op. Blue, de stafford is enorm goed opgevoegd en luistert goed waardoor het werkt. Ik woon samen met mijn vriend in het centrum van Amsterdam in een appartement van 73m2. minn vriend komt uit een gezin met honden, labradors, teckels en pomerianen. Lekker knuffelen en veel aandacht is wat ze bij mij kunnen verwachten.

Vrolijke actieve en lieve oppas voor je hond!

Mijn moeder was altijd bang voor katten en honden dus die kwamen er vroeger niet in bij ons thuis. Als ik echter een kat of hond zie moet ik knuffelen en word ik heel snel vrienden met ze. Ik heb een te onregelmatig leven om zelf een kat/hond te nemen, maar pas graag af en toe op. Liefst bouw ik een band op met de hond/kat en komt hij/zij vaker, dan wordt het het leukst. Ik ben vrij flexibel, dus breng en haal tijden altijd in overleg. Ik heb ervaring met 1 tot 21 dagen oppas achter elkaar, met kleine en hele grote honden, makkelijke en wat lastigere. Bij vragen, stuur me gerust een bericht en dan komen we er vast uit. Fijne dag!

Rutger is heel lief en zorgzaam voor mensen en dieren. Hij houdt enorm van honden en past ook al veel op honden van o.a. goede vrienden. Honden hebben bij Rutger een hele fijne en leuke tijd, Rutger is graag buiten dus de hond krijgt genoeg buitenlucht! Zelf ben ik ook hondenoppas, als ik niet kan, zal ik zeker Rutger vragen. 100% aan te bevelen dus!

Friendly Dog/Cat sitter in Amsterdam

I had 3 years of experience taking care of my dog and cat when I lived at my parents’ place, before that I had experience pet sitting my grandparents’ dog. Now I also have experience pet sitting dogs at my current place for short term (2-3 days) and a bit longer period (3 weeks), and it has been working quite well. When I am spending time with dogs, usually I will take them to parks or somewhere peaceful and full of nature. I will play balls (or their favorite toys) with them, and let them walk/run as much as they want. I always bring a water bottle, wet cleaning paper, and a trash bag with me, so when dogs are thirsty, I can give them water, or when they get dirty, I can clean them with the wet paper, and after they poop, I will pick it up and put it in the trash bag. It’s important to make our little friends feel happy, relaxed, and content, while keeping the environment clean. With cats I am quite experienced, because I spent almost everyday with my cat during Covid. We shared the bed together every night, and I love giving him massages and petting his little belly. I am quite sensitive to cats’ abnormal behaviors, so if anything goes wrong I can notice very fast. I find cats very lovable and healing, and luckily cats usually find me trustworthy. My room is 27 square meters, and I have a big living room, so there will be enough space for cats/dogs. Besides, there is a beautiful park near my place. If you need someone to take care of your pets, I highly recommend myself :)

Ruby was very sweet with Scotty. Took great care of him and sent me reassuring pictures when I left him with her for a couple of days. Would highly recommend her.

Lieve en zorgzame dierenliefhebber in de buurt

Hoi! Ik ben Puck, 24 jaar en werk als psycholoog. Naast mijn werk vind ik het heerlijk om tijd door te brengen met dieren. Ze geven me rust, maken me vrolijk en ik geniet oprecht van hun gezelschap.
