A home away from home

I’m from India and live in Amsterdam with my husband for a couple of years now. I’ve grown up dogs (Irish setters) and lost my most precious boy (Casper) in 2021. I’ve had the most beautiful journey of 11 years with my sweet Casper. Through these years, I’ve always wished to take Casper along in my travels but it was not always possible. Now that I’m away from home and miss the biggest part of having the company of a dog, I decided to set up a this account to help pet parents travel stress free and have the confidence that their pet is in good hands. With all that being said, it is obvious that I love dogs and get along with them really well. I’ve had experience with puppies, teenage dogs, senior dogs and each phase is precious in it’s own way so I’m not particular in the phase that they are currently at. All of them are welcome! Looking forward to pampering and cuddling with your fur babies!

Our pup Loki had the best time! We got regular picture and video updates and he was such a happy boy. He was well looked after and as he’s still young he has a lot of energy and excitement and Tanya and her husband looked after him so well! 5/5 :feet:! :pink_heart:

I recently swapped my desk job in sustainability consulting for the great outdoors to follow my true passion, caring for dogs. Twiggy is not the easiest dog to handle, she is quite anxious and has her moods. but Sarah did a great job. Twiggy trusted her and spent a great time at Sarah’s place. The communication with Sarah was very easy and nice, she was also quite flexible accommodating the timing of bringing Twiggy. Everything went very well and I would totally reach out again if I need a place for Twiggy to stay 😊

Hi, I’m Maite. I am a biologist from Spain that loves animals and is looking forward to take care of your pet. I am familiar with big breeds like samoyed, checkslovakian wolf dog and german shepherd. Passion for animals

I grew up with two beautiful Hungarian vizslas and have been a dog dog lover from childhood. I have experience with "difficult" dogs as well as we had several rescue dogs in my family (reactivity). I am also lucky to have had wonderful experiences with all my four legged clients durint my years as a pet sitter. Hello, I am Bella, moved to the Netherlands last year with my dog, Pihe. We live together in a two room flat. When I adopted her 6 years ago, my life has completely changed: before that I could not imagine waking up early or being outside for hours. Now this is one of the part of my life that I enjoy doing the most. My dog is very playful and can be a good company for other dogs, she really enjoys when another one is around, so I would be happy to host your dog as well. Nearby my home there is a big park (Nelson Mandela) and a dog beach is closeby (Gaasperplas). Besides my dog I would take care of only yours. I usually go for two longer walks per day, but this can be based on your dog's routine, as Pihe is always up to have fun. Pihe has two beds and she is happy to offer one of those to our guest :) I know it is not easy to find someone reliable who takes care of my dog as I would take care of her, so I treat the pets with this mindset. As an owner I also prefer sitter for the long-run, so I would be happy to know and sit your dog on a regular basis. I am also happy to take care of your cat when you go on a holiday!

Tommy spent nearly a month with Pihe and Bella and he loved it! Pihe was very friendly and kept him company and played with him every day. Bella took great care of him and we will definitely book her again.

(Note - We speak a little Dutch, but English is our first language!) We zijn al meer dan 25 jaar hondenbezitters en al die honden zijn reddingshonden geweest, dus we zouden in staat moeten zijn om voor honden te zorgen die speciale overwegingen hebben. Ik werk vanuit huis zodat uw hond niet alleen in huis hoeft te blijven. We hebben zelf een hond (mopshond / terriër mix), maar we zullen voorzichtig zijn bij het introduceren van uw hond om er zeker van te zijn dat ze samen gelukkig zijn. Scheiding is mogelijk als dat nodig is of de voorkeur heeft. Ik heb ervaring met verschillende honden van alle groottes. Vanaf mijn geboorte tot aan mijn studeren hebben we altijd honden in huis gehad op de Veluwe. In mijn tijd op Aruba (10 jaar) heb ik in huishoudens gewoond waar ik mede voor meerdere (grote) honden heb gezorgd. (Bull Mastif, Deense Dogs, labrador, en verschillende geadopteerde straathonden). Het komt vaak voor dat honden heel blij zijn om mij te zien. Dat komt denk ik doordat ik een bepaalde rust uitstraal, respect voor ze heb en geen gekke dingen met ze doe. Mijn werkleven in Amsterdam is niet geschikt voor huisdieren maar ik kan wellicht wel zo nu en dan voor huisdieren van anderen zorgen.

Joost is een echte dierenvriend. Hij zorgt ervoor dat je hond geen aandacht te kort komt. Afspraken waren makkelijk te maken. Aanrader!

Hallo, wij zijn weer terug :)! Samen met mijn vriendin zijn wij op zoek naar een leuke oppashond. Wij zijn 32 en 33 jaar oud, woonachtig in Amsterdam. Mijn vriendin heeft erg veel ervaring met internationale (Europese) hondenshows en hondentrainingen. Ik (Martijn) heb vroeger zelf altijd een hond gehad. En samen hebben we al best wat oppaservaring via PetBNB. Op dit moment zijn we alleen maar beschikbaar in het weekend (Vrijdag tot en met Zondag). Jouw hond zal terechtkomen in een liefdevolle omgeving en zal veel aandacht (en knuffels) krijgen. We houden tevens van wandelen door het Vondelpark óf als we wat meer tijd hebben gaan we graag naar het Amsterdamse bos. Neem gerust contact op bij vragen (kan in het Nederlands of engels).

Martijn and Valeria were amazing with Milo. We took him over on a busy public holiday, he can be a bit anxious but they were very patient and understanding. They took him to a lovely quiet spot for walks and sent us lovely updates. Highly recommended!

I’m 28, live by myself in a 50sqm apartment in the Amsterdam West area; by the OLVG West. I have always loved and respected animals and my heart has always been drawn to dogs! Originally I am from Romania and I grew up in Greece, where I moved out from last year; traded sunny beaches for moody weather and picturesque houses and squares with which I’m consistently in love! A few things about my parenting style - my curiosity of dog psychology and my will to be a better mom to Milu lead me into long hours reading and researching all topics regarding behavior and psychology, nutrition, exercises and training and well as the specific needs of different breeds. I bring love, patience, understanding and curiosity about the intricacies of each breed and character. What brings me here is how much I miss my little girl! Unfortunately I lost her to a heart condition and while I still find it painful, losing her and to balm down my wounds, I think caring for and receiving a little bit of love here and there would also make me very very happy! While I tried to share as much as possible about me, which I imagine someone would want to know before entrusting a stranger with their baby - I encourage you to reach out and have a chat with me about anything else you’d like to know- regardless of weather you’ll pick me or not to take care of your pet!

We had a great experience with Cristina! There was an instant connection between her and Ivy, and Ivy clearly felt very comfortable with her. Betrouwbaar, zorgzaam en dol op alle dieren!

Hoi! Wij zijn Donalda (32 jaar) en David (36 jaar) en ouders van een dochtertje van 4 jaar oud en wij zijn dol op dieren! Mijn partner David en ik zijn allebei opgegroeid met dieren (honden en katten) en passen geregeld op de honden van familie en vrienden. Omdat het op dit moment niet helemaal passend is in ons leven om zelf voor een huisdier te kiezen, vinden wij het wel extra leuk om geregeld op te passen als dit schikt. Wij wonen in Amsterdam (Buitenveldert) en hebben ook een tuin. Daarnaast wonen wij dichtbij het ‘Ecolint’ wat een fijn wandelgebied is voor honden. En met als kers op de taart het Amsterdamse bos, wat met de auto op 5 minuten rijden ligt.

Donalda & David hebben met veel zorg en liefde op Syskha de Chiwawa gepast. Ze is niets tekortgekomen: fijne wandelingen ook in het Amsterdamse Bos, goed gegeten en volop aandacht en knuffels gekregen. Het was ook fijn om foto’s te krijgen en Sys vrolijk te zien. Een absolute aanrader voor iedereen, de volgende keer vraag ik hen zeker weer om op Syskha te passen.:dog2:
