Hi, my name is Jana :) I am a 28-year-old woman living in de Baarsjes in Amsterdam West. I originally come from the Czech Republic from a small town called Zlin. I love taking care of dogs as well as cats and overall being around animals ever since I was a small child. As for your dog pets, I enjoy going for long walks and teaching them some simple tricks, such as to sit or to lay down. Additionally, I used to take care of my neighbour's dogs on a daily basis back when I lived in the Czech Republic and nowadays, I babysit my friend's dog time to time. I just finished studying a master's program called Environment and Resource Management at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Currently, I’m searching for a job. It is good to say that I am used to different breeds and, therefore, I have got limited preferences when it comes to dog breeds I would like to babysit. Ik hou zo veel van honden & katten (en andere dieren)!!! Ik heb zelf nooit een eigen hond gehad, o.a. omdat ik katten had en veel reisde. Maar ik heb altijd geholpen met het zorgen voor (en soms ook het opvoeden van) honden van vrienden en buren waaronder een Cane corso, 2 Staffies en een Duitse herder. Ik heb tijdens de covid/lockdown periode ook een aantal maanden een rescue (pitbull) opgevangen die met spoed een opvang plek nodig had, omdat ik toen nog voltijd vanuit huis werkte en hier de tijd voor had. Dit heb ik ook een aantal weken gedaan voor een ander klein hondje en 2 katten waarvan de eigenaar overleden was. Ik vond het super fijn dat ik ze kon helpen en extra aandacht aan ze kon geven in die periode. Ik werk nu 3 dagen op kantoor en mijn partner 5 dagen dus helaas zit een hond voor onszelf er op dit moment niet in. Maar ik zou het heel leuk vinden om af en toe gezellig te wandelen en/of op te passen en hiermee iemand in nood te helpen.

He sent me updates with photos which I appreciate, and he lives right in the park which is perfect for dogs. He is also a very friendly and approachable person which I find important as you need to feel the ease of communication with the person taking care of your furry family member. Van kinds af aan ben ik opgegroeid met honden ( en andere dieren ) Mijn vader trainde politiehonden en we hadden altijd Golden Retrievers in huis. Naast honden hadden we ook paarden, schapen , konijnen , hamsters en katten. Een gezellige beestenboel dus. Inmiddels woon ik 25 jaar in Amsterdam Niet lang geleden is mijn hondje Dex Welsh terriër overleden. ik mis haar ontzettend. maar wil nog geen nieuwe hond. dit is wellicht een leuke afleiding. Een Welsh is geen ‘ makkelijk’ hondje op te voeden, dus ik heb met Dex veel geleerd bij verschillende hondentrainingen bij hondenschool de Gabber.Ik heb Dex alles aangeleerd met een klikker. Ze vond de behendigheidstraining ( dus over allerlei hindernissen/ tunnels etc door ) ontzettend leuk. Dex kon dit zelfs beter dan ik op een gegeven moment. Hier hebben wij geleerd goed naar elkaar te kijken en zelfs met handgebaren wist ze wat de bedoeling was. Ontzettend leerzaam voor zowel Dex als baas! Omdat ik veel cursussen gedaan heb met Dex weet ik veel over het gedrag van honden. Ik snap hoe spannend het is je hond aan een ‘ vreemde ‘ mee te geven. Wees gerust, uw hond is in veilige, liefdevolle maar consequente handen bij mij! Naast honden heb ik ook ervaring. met het verzorgen van cavia’s, konijnen en katten. ( English? No problem ☺️) 🍀🐶 p.s. ik kan niet op vaste dagen in de week omdat ik zelf van maandag tot en met donderdag werk. Soms werk ik thuis. en dan kan ik de hond uitlaten. Dit kan dus in overleg.

Kim past geregeld op mijn hond bella. Bella is niet de makkelijkste hond maar ze is dol op Kim en luistert super goed naar haar. Kim is duidelijk heel erg dol op honden en kan er zeer goed mee over weg. Ze is lief en ook duidelijk.

Since leaving my parents place when I was 18, I have been craving to be able to take care of dogs. During my whole childhood I grew up around (big) dogs at my grandparent's house as well as at my home. My grandpa taught me the do's and don'ts and how to train them and I would regularly take care of their dogs as well as the dogs of family friends. From age 10 to 18 we also had a male German Sheppard at home who I always felt was my "bear" brother. I'm definitely the kind of guy who will stop in the middle of the street to chat with someone about their dog and ask if I can pet him/her. I'm not afraid of any type of dog and feel confident being able to impose myself when needed while remaining calm and respectful. I'm a sporty guy who goes outside a lot and likes to go for long walks in nature or a run - also with my friends or my girlfriend. I could play with dogs for hours. I currently live on the top floor of a spacious flat with rooftop in Oud West near most of the big parks including Westerpark, Rembrandtpark, Erasmuspark and Vondelpark. Regarding the prices and hours, I'm quite flexible and happy to discuss them with you as for me this is really more of a pleasure than a side job. I currently work at New Balance and am flexible to work from home whenever I want and to structure my days to my needs.
