[ENGLISH BELOW] Hi! Wij zijn Braden (27) en Ashley (28). Wij wonen sinds 2023 samen in Amsterdam, nadat Braden (Brits/Zuid-Afrikaans) is verhuisd naar Nederland. Wij hebben beide altijd verschillende soorten honden gehad en missen dit enorm nu wij zelf samen (nog) geen hond hebben. Daarom vinden we het superfijn om via deze manier anderen uit de brand te kunnen helpen én zelf omringd te blijven met viervoeters. Wij wonen 5 minuutjes van zowel Rembrandtpark als Erasmuspark (hier heb je zelfs een plek speciaal voor honden!) vandaan wat een ideale omgeving is om erop uit te gaan. Ook werken we allebei grotendeels thuis en zijn we ontzettend flexibel, waardoor we veel aandacht hebben voor oppashonden of makkelijk langs kunnen komen voor een wandeling. We hebben verder geen voorkeur voor een bepaalde dag of hoeveelheid dagen, mits we genoeg tijd hebben om het in te plannen. Ashley heeft een aantal jaar geleden met haar eigen Shi-Tzu en Chihuahua een nestje gehad, en dus ervaring met zowel het opvoeden van (zeer) jonge puppies als omgang met senioren. Natuurlijk is iedereen hond anders, maar we zijn er erg van bewust waar verschillende rassen en leeftijden aan toe zijn (en waar niet!). Last but not least, staan we er allebei voor open om natuurlijk even (digitaal of thuis) kennis te maken. We snappen dat het best spannend kan zijn. Dus stuur ons vooral een berichtje als je meer wil weten! Liefs, Braden en Ashley ---- Hi! We are Braden (27) and Ashley (28). We have been living together in Amsterdam since 2023, after Braden (British/South African) moved to the Netherlands. We've both always had different types of dogs in our lives and miss it greatly now that we don't (yet) have one of our own. That's why we're really happy to be able to help others by offering dog-sitting services, while surrounding ourselves by dogs. We live just 5 minutes away from both Rembrandtpark and Erasmuspark (which even has a special area for dogs!), making it the perfect environment for outings. We both work mostly from home and are very flexible, meaning we can give a lot of attention to any dogs we’re looking after or easily drop by for a walk. We don’t have a preference for specific days or number of days, as long as we have enough time to plan accordingly. A few years ago, Ashley raised a litter with her own Shih Tzu and Chihuahua, so she has experience with both raising very young puppies and caring for senior dogs. Of course, every dog is different, but we are very aware of the unique needs of different breeds and ages. Hello there! After exploring different paths, I realized that my heart has always been with animals, so I decided to follow my childhood dream of working with them. I’m now a Clinical Animal Behavior student, and I couldn’t be more excited to turn something I love so much into my future career. I also volunteer at DOA, the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, where I work with dogs from all kinds of backgrounds and personalities. I help with socialization, basic training, and supporting dogs with different behavioral needs. I’ve completed training focused on fearful and reactive dogs, as well as an 8-week course tailored to an individual dog’s needs. My sweetheart Milo crossed the rainbow bridge in June, and he’s the biggest reason I decided to follow this path. Spending time with other dogs is one of the ways I still feel close to him and I know he’d be happy to see me doing this. ❤️ Having loved Milo as much as I did, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. If it were up to us, we’d take them everywhere but sometimes that’s not possible. So no worries, I’ll treat them like my own and keep you updated with plenty of pictures and little updates along the way. 😊 I live with my boyfriend, and we both have flexible schedules. Our place is just 15 minutes from Vondelpark and close to two local dog parks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and have fun. Please read all the info below before making your booking! I have been around and taken care of dogs my entire life. We had two dogs when I was a child I was trusted taking care of and walk during my lunch breaks at school from a very young age. My family travelled a lot when I was young and wherever we went I would find packs of street dogs to play with, which now when I’m a parent sounds insane (and quite dangerous) but it very much shaped how I see and relate to dogs and taught me how to communicate, read body language and understand pack dynamic. I have adopted and fostered many dogs throughout my life, and have been watching and training dogs for friends and family over the years many times. Also very interested in dog psychology and behaviour in general, and their inner workings is a genuine interest for me. Dog sitting is my full time job, I’m very good at it and take it seriously. I usually spend most of my days outside with the dogs I have, it’s great for exercise and socialising and we all enjoy fresh air and sunshine. I also enjoy to bring them along for outings or other activities since I love the company. My kids are at school during the day so I have lots of time and I really enjoy walking and being outside so it’s absolutely not a chore. Different dogs have different needs of course and I do my best to accommodate that. I love biking with dogs since you can sort of “play run” together and it’s a great way to get a lot of exercise for high energy dogs, and even if a dog is not used to running next to a bike, most get the hang of it fast and I am of course very careful to make sure there’s no accidents. My house is also full of toys, activity puzzles and games, it’s important they get mental simulation as well physical. My kids are good and calm with animals, and love dogs so they are delighted about weekend stays but of course they don’t walk them and I generally don’t leave my kids alone with the dogs I host. Our cat Styx, a Maine Coon male, is raised around dogs and makes friends with most of them given a bit of time, even dogs that otherwise goes nuts when they see a cat outside! We live in a house with a lift so larger or older dogs doesn’t have to climb down stairs, the flat itself has three floors so easy and spacious with the cat living upstairs and visiting dogs downstairs. Some dogs I have regularly of course get upstairs privileges when we’re all comfortable together and maybe aren’t covered in mud! The size of the flat does also mean I can easily keep dogs and cats separated so there’s never been an issue in all the years I’ve been doing this. The downstairs floor is also large enough to keep dogs separated if necessary, I have lots of fences and baby gates I can set up. The terrace is great for fresh air and playtime. We also live very close to many green areas suitable for off leash walking, biking and swimming. I have experience with and really enjoy large dogs and don’t mind being out entire days with wolf/working breeds if they need it. My philosophy is that a dog that is provided a lot of exercise, play, boundaries, structure and a calm and assertive pack leader will be a happy and balanced one! Please note! -Do provide food, toys, chew bones, treats and toilet bags for your dogs visit. If requested I can provide this but will ask to be refunded for any additional expenses. I have lots of bowls, towels and beds etc so no need to bring that. -If your dog needs a lot of special attention, is not fully house trained or have a very labour intensive schedule you need to inform me of this in advance so we can discuss. Also if your dog can’t be together with other dogs or off leash I need to know before we finalise the booking. -I can’t accept dogs with severe behavioural problems or that barks a lot. If there are undisclosed issues like aggression, barking or destructive/unmanageable behaviour I reserve the right to terminate the booking and request you to find another arrangements for the rest of the stay, or I will ask an extra fee so be aware of this. Please don’t downplay issues since that will only cause trouble for everyone involved later on. -I will accept bookings for cats if they are spayed/neutered and very good with other cats, dogs and kids. Honden liefhebbers in de Rivierenbuurt 🤎

Daarom vinden we het belangrijk dat een eventuele logeerhond ook vriendelijk is naar andere honden. We wonen in de Rivierenbuurt in Amsterdam, in een ruim appartement met twee balkons. Op loopafstand liggen verschillende parken en groenstroken waar we dagelijks wandelen. Honden die bij ons logeren worden echt onderdeel van ons dagelijks leven: we maken fijne wandelingen, zorgen voor voldoende rust en natuurlijk ook voor de nodige aandacht en knuffels. Omdat we maar af en toe oppassen, nemen we alleen honden aan waarvan we denken dat ze goed bij ons en bij Moos passen. Daarom vinden we het fijn om vooraf eerst even kennis te maken. International couple with a love for animals

dierenliefhebber zonder eigen huisdier

Opgegroeid met allerlei dieren, zoals paardjes, geiten, kippen, eenden, katten en honden. Ook ervaring met bange dieren die een traumatisch verleden hebben gehad waardoor ik een rustige houding heb tegenover dieren. Ik ben flexibel qua tijd en dagen. Ik werk als docent en heb daardoor een afwisselend rooster waardoor ik soms niet beschikbaar ben door het les geven, maar tegelijkertijd ook vaak thuis kan werken.
