And of course I will sent you photo/video/text updates so you are assured your furry sweetheart has the best time ever. Your dog will be walked at least two to three times a day (depending on how long the sitting lasts). Your pup may be left alone 2 hours max. There are no other pets in my home. I live on the 4th floor and the building has no elevator, so be aware your dog needs to be able to take stairs or is fine with being carried. Ik ben Ché, 25 jaar, woonachtig in Amsterdam (Zuid/Hoofddorppleinbuurt) samen met mijn vriend. Ik hou enorm veel van honden en lijkt mij erg leuk om op jou huisdier te passen. Idealiter in de omgeving en flexibel. Maar ook zeker voor langere periodes of vakanties. Aan huis oppassen is geen probleem (dit heb ik al vaker gedaan) maar bij ons thuis kan het ook zeker. Ik vind het heerlijk om (lange afstanden) te wandelen en geniet enorm van buiten zijn dus wandelen met de hond is geen enkel probleem voor mij. Stuur mij gerust een berichtje! He sent me updates with photos which I appreciate, and he lives right in the park which is perfect for dogs. He is also a very friendly and approachable person which I find important as you need to feel the ease of communication with the person taking care of your furry family member. Hondentrainer in spe! Wandelen spelen en trainen!

Onlangs, eind 2025, ben ik begonnen met de opleiding Prive-Hondentrainer bij Edupet. Mijn ervaring met honden is altijd goed geweest, houd er van om de hond tijdens het wandelen de volledige aandacht te geven. Denk aan oefeningen tot het gooien van speeltjes of natuurlijk takken. Het is tijdens de wandeling even het feestje van de hond, dus zo min mogelijk afleidingen. Zelf ben ik erg rustig met honden en zal mijn relatie met de hond altijd baseren op vertrouwen en niet op domineren. Liefst als de hond het kan ga ik ook ergens op een mooie plek wandelen. Bijvoorbeeld in het bos of op het strand, zodat de hond lekker zijn energie kwijt kan. Bespreek dus ook graag de mogelijkheden.

Tom is gek op dieren! Onze hond springt altijd een gat in de lucht als hij bij ons langskomt en kwispelt dan bijna zijn staart eraf! Tom vindt het heel leuk om met honden een lange wandeling te maken en dan met ze te ravotten of te trainen.

Hoi hondenliefhebbers, Samen met mijn labradoodle Alfie (2 jaar) woon ik in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We wandelen drie keer per dag, vaak rond de Sloterplas of in het Rembrandtpark en Erasmuspark. I know their secrets spots of them to make them feel comfortable. Van kleins af aan ben ik al gek op dieren en ben ik altijd door huisdieren omringd geweest. Vroeger liet ik met veel plezier honden uit bij het asiel , dit wakkerde mijn dierenliefde alleen maar meer aan. I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I work in the fashion industry in a creative job. - I currently work full time and commute, so only my weekends are available. - We have an elevator in our building, if we are dog sitting in our apartment.

Friendly Dog/Cat sitter in Amsterdam

I had 3 years of experience taking care of my dog and cat when I lived at my parents’ place, before that I had experience pet sitting my grandparents’ dog. Now I also have experience pet sitting dogs at my current place for short term (2-3 days) and a bit longer period (3 weeks), and it has been working quite well. When I am spending time with dogs, usually I will take them to parks or somewhere peaceful and full of nature. I will play balls (or their favorite toys) with them, and let them walk/run as much as they want. I always bring a water bottle, wet cleaning paper, and a trash bag with me, so when dogs are thirsty, I can give them water, or when they get dirty, I can clean them with the wet paper, and after they poop, I will pick it up and put it in the trash bag. It’s important to make our little friends feel happy, relaxed, and content, while keeping the environment clean. With cats I am quite experienced, because I spent almost everyday with my cat during Covid. We shared the bed together every night, and I love giving him massages and petting his little belly. I am quite sensitive to cats’ abnormal behaviors, so if anything goes wrong I can notice very fast. I find cats very lovable and healing, and luckily cats usually find me trustworthy. My room is 27 square meters, and I have a big living room, so there will be enough space for cats/dogs. Besides, there is a beautiful park near my place. If you need someone to take care of your pets, I highly recommend myself :)
