Since the day I was born, I have always lived with an animal. I have cared for many different animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, budgies, fish, turtles, parrots, and hamsters. I recently moved here from abroad, and to ease the longing I feel for my dogs, I wanted to help take care of someone else’s pet and look after them. Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring my dogs with me because they are large and live with my mom in a house with a big garden. I have experience with animals that are in difficult situations, including dogs that are anxious, aggressive, or depressed. My own dog was one of them—he had a challenging temperament, but over the years, with patience and care, he became much calmer. Because of this experience, I understand how to approach and care for dogs with special needs, helping them feel safe and comfortable.

Hi ik ben Douwe, 30, en ik woon in Amsterdam, vlak bij de Amstel, en ga graag naar buiten om te wandelen of hard te lopen. De Middelpolder het Amstelpark en het Amsterdamse bos zijn mijn favoriete plekken om de natuur in te gaan dichtbij Amsterdam met honden. Daarnaast ga ik graag naar het strand. Zelf heb ik op dit moment geen hond, maar ik geniet erg van hun gezelschap. Mijn huis is rustig en makkelijk toegankelijk, met één niet steile trap (1e verdieping). Ik ben flexibel beschikbaar en pas graag op honden die van beweging en buiten zijn houden. dus bijvoorbeeld langere wandelingen of een rondje mee hardlopen/ suppen en dergelijke.

Aanbeveling

Douwe heeft een hele leuke dag gemaakt met onze oude jachthond Up. Onze hond is een beetje krakkemikkig dus zijn ze samen gaan zwemmen. Aardige vent die douwe, ga hem zeker vaker vragen!

Have just moved to the Netherlands from Ireland and have had to leave my family dogs behind- missing company on my walks and evening cuddles. I know how to tire a dog out with a good walk (and lots of patient sniff stops of they’re that way inclined!) or give them attention if that’s what they need. I understand that all owners have their own way with their pets and am more than happy to follow those rules too. Was never lucky enough to have a cat due to family member allergies so am very excited to get to spend some time with some. I have always grown up with a house full of animals which I love very dearly. Since moving to the Netherlands I have longed to have animals in my care again. I enjoy walking my dogs and taking them to the park for new smells and making sure they get their daily steps in so they are settled when they are home. Trustworthy Dog lover close to three Parks!

I'm a Dutch Born New Zealander, now living back in Amsterdam My husband and I travel a lot, so it would not be right to own a dog, but for the last 20 years I have been the go-to dog sitter/ dog walker to all my friends pooches! I'm like the fun aunt for your pet! I'm a high energy, vibrant person who absolutely adores animals, so would be totally suited to take your dog for a lap around the AmstelPark, Beatrixpark or Martin Luther King Park. I work as a chef, so my working day starts in the afternoon, late morning walks are perfect for me. My husband and I are also happy to have your dog chill at our home. I have had years of experience with high energy dogs... My best friend's Border Collie, Brian lived in a city apartment instead of chasing sheep on a farm, so I would throw a frisby into a volcano crater for about an hour to tire him out and take him for day trips to the beach. I have looked after obedient dogs and very disobedient ones and understand each one is different, but that they all appreciate structure, cuddles and kindness. I would be happy to look after your dog!

Super snelle reactie, fijne en heldere communicatie en mijn hond (die niet de makkelijkste is) voelde zich gelijk thuis. Ze sprintte bij aankomst naar boven alsof ze er al jaren komt en ging gelijk zitten voor een goeie kriebelbeurt. Super fijn om je beessie zo achter te laten!

Aan welk hondje mag ik mijn liefde geven?

Lieve baasjes, Ik weet hoe lastig het soms kan zijn om een oppas te vinden. Daarom bied ik mijn hulp aan! Zelf heb ik een toy poedel van 5 jaar dus ik ben zeer ervaren. Jouw hondje is bij mij in goede handen. Ik ben betrouwbaar, loyaal en lief voor je hondje. Mijn hondje Olly is een reutje en vindt het gezellig om een klein speelvriendje of vriendinnetje te hebben. Ik werk regelmatig thuis en op die dagen ben ik beschikbaar. Ik woon in de Rivierenbuurt, op de 1e etage met een ruim balkon. Vlakbij de Amstel en diverse parken, heerlijk om daar te wandelen. Isle was such a great dog sitter!!! We were lucky that she was excited to take care of our 3.5 months old puppy, Arya. As you know, puppies need to be walked frequently as they can't hold their bladder as well. She was super loving and caring to Arya, and we just knew Arya was in excellent hands. She visited Arya first at our place, and we knew it was a match. She gives us updates everyday on how Arya is doing, and is very responsive! She also lets us know when she thinks Arya had some fleas on her (which is not easy to detect since she's a black dog), and we were glad we could get rid of the fleas in time! Very nice and gentle soul, and we would highly recommend Isle! Arya was so in love with Isle that I think she didn't want to come home with us ;). Thank you so much for taking such great care of Arya! She had an excellent time with you Isle!

Ik ben een geduldige, speelse en lieve hondenfan!

Mijn ouders hebben 2 labradors. 1 van 12 en 1 pup. Ik ben dus vanaf jongs af aan opgegroeid met honden en ben een echt honden mens. Als mijn ouders weg zijn pas ik vaak op de honden dus ik heb er veel ervaring mee. Uitlaten, spelen, eten geven en nog veel meer. Ik heb ook ervaring met oudere honden en weet dat je met wandelen dan soms geduldiger moet zijn. Ik haal heel veel energie uit honden en kan niet wachten om later zelf ook honden te nemen. Dit bijbaantje lijkt mij perfect om tijdens mijn studie en werk in Amsterdam toch bezig te zijn met honden.
