Hi, I’m Maite. I am a biologist from Spain that loves animals and is looking forward to take care of your pet. I am familiar with big breeds like samoyed, checkslovakian wolf dog and german shepherd. I also love kitties, as I had a small black cat when I was little. My apartment is very spacious and located in the heart of Amsterdam, in a residential neighbourhood so your pet will not be around tourists or with high traffic. My partner, back at his home town, has 2 big leon bergers so we are really familiar with dealing with big doggos as well. Pls ask me any questions that you may have :) Maite.

Unser kleiner Hund hat sich pudelwohl gefühlt und wurde liebevoll und perfekt von Maite betreut. Wir als Hundeeltern hatten sofort ein gutes Gefühl, denn Maite ist sehr freundlich, offen und hilfsbereit, so dass wir unbesorgt unseren Museumsbesuch in Amsterdam genießen konnten.

International couple with a love for animals

Richard and I have both grown up with and have taken care of pets most of our life. Richard had 2 medium-large dogs growing up and I grew up with 2 cats (currently we do not have pets at our home but would love them in the future). Most of all we love animals and happy to help anyone that needs reliable pet sitters! We live in a quiet residential area in Amsterdam, and our apartment is large enough for dogs of all sizes. We live in a building with other dogs and children so it is important that your furry friend is friendly to other dogs and children! We are located walking distance to a park so long walks will definitely be part of our schedule (if that’s something your pet likes!). We are able to help train your dogs with anything you are working on and of course, will make sure we provide the specific food and amounts you have instructed. A home away from home

I’m from India and have been in Amsterdam for a couple of years now. I’ve had dogs (Irish setters) all my life and lost my most precious boy (Casper) in 2021. I’ve had the most beautiful journey of 11 years with my sweet Casper. Through these years, I’ve always wished to take Casper along in my travels but it was not always possible. Now that I’m away from home and miss the biggest part of having the company of a dog, I decided to set up a this account to help pet parents travel stress free and have the confidence that their pet is in good hands. With all that being said, it is obvious that I love dogs and get along with them really well. I’ve had experience with puppies, teenage dogs, senior dogs and each phase is precious in it’s own way so I’m not particular in the phase that they are currently at. All of them are welcome! Meeting your pet’s needs with empathy and care

I have been a dog owner myself, as well as I have volunteered in an animal shelter for 2 years, so I am incredibly fond of dogs, cats and all other kinds of pets. As I am now a student who has moved away from home (so away from my family pets as well), I miss having animals around a lot. Additionally, since I’ve encountered all sorts pets in all sorts of states and traits, I take the time to introduce myself first, figure out the animal’s needs and only then move further with the care. I have 7 years of experience in taking care of dogs and cats, including the experience at the shelter. I have no preference for pets I sit, as well as I am rather flexible with my schedule - I can be available mornings, afternoons and evenings. I am a loving, gentle and caring sitter, described as "the one that has a way with animals." I find walking and/or sitting them genuinely pleasurable, so I always try to make the visits as warm as possible. Nonetheless, I am aware of the responsibility such care entails and make sure to do everything in my power to avoid any kind of negligence. When petsitting/boarding, I send regular photo updates, don’t leave the animals alone (unless allowed), walk them 3x a day and let them wander freely but safely around the apartment. I walk them regularly to provide toilet breaks as needed, but in cases of little accidents inside the apartment, I make sure to clean it up and generally to keep the pets in safe and higienic conditions. In addition to the > 15 minute walks, pets receive plenty of play time to fulfil their physical activity needs. I remain in consistent communication with the owners and feed/walk/provide medication/etc as instructed by the owners. I also spoil the pets with snacks, if allowed:) Fresh water is always available, as well food is provided as required by the owners. I try to stick to petsitting one animal at a time due to the stress different pets may cause to each other, but if allowed by the owners, I am always happy to sit a few animals at once. In case of an emergency, I will bring the pets to the vet or act in any other required manner as indicated by the owners. When dog walking, I take at least 30 minutes, keep my copy of the key safely, always check if everything is secured before leaving, dress the pet in provided attire if needed, carry the pets up/down the stairs if needed as well. During house visits, I spend at least an hour with the pets, playing with them and making sure they’re fed, walked and happy. I am also happy to house sit if that is preferred by the owners. If agreed in accordance with my schedule, I can house sit for an indefinite time. When house sitting, I always double check if everything is locked/turned off before leaving and/or night time. According to my regular clients, their pets are always excited to come back to my place - hope that would be the case with your pets as well:)

Zorgzame en lieve hondenoppas

Wij zijn Marvin en Sangeeta, een enthousiast stel met grote liefde voor dieren. We hebben gekozen om hondenoppas te worden omdat we het heerlijk vinden om met dieren bezig te zijn. Hun enthousiasme, trouw en unieke persoonlijkheden brengen ons elke dag vreugde. Bovendien vinden we het mooi om baasjes te kunnen ontzorgen, wetend dat hun hond in goede handen is. Ik hou super veel van dieren (is het gek als ik de meeste dieren leuker vind dan veel mensen?) Toen ik jonger was hebben we altijd huisdieren en katten gehad, en sinds ik op mezelf woon heb ik veel foster en oppas hondjes gehad. Ook heb ik meerdere malen een ‘house sit’ gedaan en op katten gepast.
