For as long as I can remember I've had dogs of my own, fostered rescue dogs, and helped friends/family with their pets. I love interacting with dogs and learning new things about them. A few years ago, I figured out that dogsitting was a great fit for my lifestyle and never looked back! When your dog comes to stay with me, they will become a member of the family alongside my own dog: Merlin, a Spanish greyhound mix! He is balanced, calm and social. Other dogs naturally look to him as a role model, and he is delighted to play the part. Together, we will take walks in Haagse Bos or Scheveningen beach, cuddle on the couch, run errands in dog-friendly spaces like the gardening center, or visit friends... I work hybrid between my home and my office (which is a 15 minute bike ride away). This gives me flexibility to offer the following services: 🛌 Boarding 🛌 - The quoted price per day guarantees a minimum of two 20-30 minute walks, and one 45-60 minute walk with plenty of potty breaks in the garden. - An extra guaranteed 20-30 minute walk can be purchased for an additional €7 per day. - You will receive daily photo/video updates about your dog during their first stay. Repeat clients can get daily updates upon request, otherwise updates will be every 1-3 days. - I have to be at my office a couple of days per week. If your need me to look after your dog during periods that include office days, they need to be okay to stay at home with Merlin for up to 8 hours. Upon request, I am able to bike home during my lunch break to let your dog out for an additional €7 per office day. - Extra guaranteed walks must be requested and paid for before the booking begins. 🌞 Doggie Daycare 🌞 - The quoted price for this service applies to Tuesdays and Thursdays during office hours. - Drop-off in the morning is flexible, pickup has to be before 18h. - For doggie daycare outside of the described times, a different price applies based on the specifics of the desired booking. Feel free to reach out if you have different needs! - The quoted price guarantees one 20-30 minute walk with plenty of potty breaks in the garden. Depending on my schedule and yours, your dog might get a second walk. - Extra guaranteed walks cannot be purchased for this service. - New daycare clients will receive one photo/video update per stay, regular clients will receive them upon request. 🏡 Housesitting 🏡 - For this service I will stay in your home overnight with your pets. - The same conditions apply as Boarding, with the addition that my dog Merlin must be able to stay with me and your pets at your home. - I am also experienced with cats, and a different daily price can be negotiated for them. 🐶 General 🐶 - A 'Guaranteed Walk' refers to the minimum daily walks that your dog will get during their stay. Some days we might walk more, but never less. Extra walks which weren't requested & paid for before the booking started won't be charged extra, so there will never be any surprise charges for walks at the end of the booking. - Dogs will only be let off the leash with permission of the owner and if I fully trust them to stay nearby, in spaces where this is allowed. Special walking instructions will always be followed, unless doing so risks a dangerous situation. - Dogs are allowed on the sofa. Access to the bed comes with the condition of good behavior. - If a dog needs any meals during their stay, the owner must provide the food. I can provide bowls and fresh water. - Dogs will not be given human food at any point during their stay. They will only be given dog treats with permission from the owner. - Due to high demand during the school holiday periods, I do not offer boarding and house-sitting in those dates to new clients. This includes the Summer holidays, Autumn Midterm break, Christmas holidays, February break, and Spring break. This way I can guarantee a place to stay to dogs who are already familiar with me and my home, which is better for them than having to adapt to a new place every time. - The owner is responsible for informing me about any behavioral or health issues their dog might have. This allows me to prepare a safe and comfortable environment for them ahead of time. Undisclosed issues that cause problems during the dog's stay will result in refusal to accept future bookings, and the cancellation of other existing bookings. If you're not sure whether a particular behavior could be considered an issue, be sure to mention it to me anyways. - If your dog is very senior or has any serious health issues that increase the risk of emergencies, I require extended instructions on what to do if there's an emergency and you are not reachable. These instructions should be provided in writing before the booking starts. - Any veterinary costs made by the dog during their stay that aren't covered by the petbnb guarantees, are to be paid by the owner. - By booking with me you agree to the terms stipulated in this text. (English below) Katten- of hondenmens? Ik ben het allebei! Hoi! Ik ben Sterre, ik ben 33 jaar oud. Ik ben op zoek naar een viervoetermaatje. Of dat nu in de vorm van een kat of een hond is, maakt mij niet veel uit. Ik vind beide dieren leuk! In mijn ouderlijk huis ben ik opgegroeid in een gezellige beestenbende. We hadden een hond (recent: Heidewachtel, vroeger: Vlinderhondje), 4 katten, konijnen, kippen en cavia’s. Ik heb zelf één van onze honden opgevoed en ik ben ermee op cursus gegaan (de Heidewachtel, een jachtras). Onze poes is tweemaal zwanger geweest, waarvan ze één nestje heeft verworpen. Deze kittens heb ik toen ook verzorgd en gevoed. Kortom: ik ben praktisch opgegroeid als dierenverzorger. Later, als uitgevlogen vogel uit het ouderlijk nest, had ik helaas geen mogelijkheid tot huisdieren ivm verbod door huisbaas. Gelukkig kan ik af en toe oppassen op de katten van mijn ouders en de kat en Appenzeller Sennenhond van een vriendin. Maar ik mis de regelmatige, dierlijke connectie enorm. Honden en katten maken mij blij en ik merk de connectie met ze. Zij voelen dat bij mij aan, vaak lopen honden uit zichzelf vrolijk op mij af om hallo te zeggen en te snuffelen. Ik kan het dan natuurlijk niet weerstaan om even een aai over zijn/haar bol te geven. Met katten weet ik heel goed te herkennen wanneer zij aandacht willen en wanneer zij hun eigen ding willen doen. Ik woon dichtbij het Haagse Bos en vind het heerlijk om met een hond door het bos te wandelen. Doordeweeks werk ik, maar ik mag van mijn werkgever veel thuiswerken. Mijn werk kan ik overal waar WiFi is uitvoeren, dus ook bij jouw huisdier. Tussendoor en tegelijk met mijn werkzaamheden kan ik je hond uitlaten, met je hond/kat spelen en aandacht geven. Mijn kantoorrooster is zodanig flexibel dat ik bijvoorbeeld elke maandag voor je geliefde huisdier kan zorgen. We kunnen hier uiteraard goed contact over hebben wat jouw wensen zijn! Ik kan jou helpen door je hond met een middag- en/of avondrondje uit te laten, of ik kan bij jou thuis voor een aantal uur op je hond passen. Oppas voor je kat nodig? Whether that's in the form of a cat or a dog doesn't really matter to me. I like both animals! In my parental home, I grew up in a lively animal household. We had a dog (recently: a Münsterlander, previously: a Papillon), 4 cats, rabbits, chickens, and guinea pigs. I personally raised one of our dogs and took it to training (the Münsterlander, it's a hunting dog pedigree). Our cat has been pregnant twice, with one litter being rejected. I cared for and fed these kittens. In short, I practically grew up as an animal caretaker. Later, after leaving the parental nest, I unfortunately couldn't have pets due to a landlord's prohibition. Fortunately, I can occasionally look after my parents' cats and a friend's cat and Appenzeller Sennenhund. But I miss the regular animal connection immensely. With cats, I can easily tell when they want attention and when they want to do their own thing. I live near the Haagse Bos and love to walk a dog through the forest. During the week, I work, and my employer allows me to work from home. I can do my job anywhere there’s Wi-Fi — including at your pet’s home. In between and alongside my work, I can walk your dog, play with your dog/cat, and give him/her attention. My office schedule is flexible, so I can promise that I can take care of your beloved pet every Monday, for example. We can have good contact about this! I can help walking your dog's afternoon and/or evening walk, or I can look after your dog at your home for a few hours. Need a sitter for your cat? We can't live without our furry friends! This is 100% true for me. I'm an animal lover with experience in raising dogs (4 years), cats (2 years), and rabbits (3 years), and I also volunteer for a stray animal protection project, where I used to visit the shelter every weekend to take care of stray dogs. I love animals so much; they are the best companions to me and are individuals in their own right. Flexibele thuiswerker & enthousiaste hondenfan

Sinds kinds af aan, heb ik altijd voor buren en vrienden honden uitgelaten of opgepast. Nu pas ik regelmatig op de golden retriever van een familielid, vaak meerdere dagen achter elkaar. Ik werk regelmatig vanuit huis, waardoor ik veel flexibiliteit heb om tijdens de lunch lekker te wandelen in het Haagse Bos of Clingendael. In het weekend ga ik graag naar het strand, en als jouw hond dat leuk vindt, neem ik hem of haar natuurlijk mee. Bij ons thuis is er volop ruimte om te ontspannen: de hond kan rustig binnen liggen of op ons grote terras op de begane grond relaxen. Maar ik vind het ook leuk om samen actief bezig te zijn: van lange wandelingen tot lekker spelen. Zo krijgt jouw hond zowel beweging als de rust die hij of zij nodig heeft. Besides, our apartment is on the ground floor, and we have a small garden with grass and trees, where a dog can spend time in good weather. Irina and Dmitrii have been excellent day cares for our Hector. He went to their place already twice. They took good care of Hector. Their house, with a closed garden, is a perfect location for a dog. Furthermore, Hector enjoyed spending time with them, playing with one of his favorite balls, walking in the Haagse Bos. We have been looking after pets for 7 years now, and in that time we’ve looked after dogs and cats with all kinds of personalities and quirks, so we are able to meet any challenge :) You can be sure that any instructions and specific requirements your loved one needs will be done as asked ! For us, it’s their stay, their way! We allow them on the bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to. We always keep the water bowl full and pets happy and healthy. Our preference is always to look after your pet at your home, for a couple of reasons. Most importantly, your pet doesn’t have to suffer any stress due to a change in environment, they can keep doing what they do in the comfort of their own home :) secondly, if we housesit we can also make sure that alls well with the house itself :) we can sometimes arrange to keep your pet at our apartment, but this is not ideal for them in our opinion. We are both flexible with our schedules, so hopefully we should be able to help you out ! At the moment, Karina has a day job while Keir works in the evenings, so there’s always someone around for your pets needs :) We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your special friends :)

Karina stayed in our house to look after our dog, McGregor, and cat, Greyton, over a period of five days. She was very accommodating of our needs and extremely kind and attentive to our pets, and stayed in communication with us every day. We came back to find the house was spotless and the animals very happy indeed! I recommend Karina whole-heartedly and without any reservation!

We zijn een jong stel (30 & 24) die zijn opgegroeid met dieren om ons heen (honden, paarden, katten, schapen, kippen, vogels). Nu we na onze studenten/starters tijd wat meer ritme en tijd hebben, willen we graag een hond om ons heen. Daarom zijn we op zoek naar leuke oppashonden. We houden erg van het buitenleven en wandelen graag in het bos, over het strand of door de weilanden. We hebben een ruim appartement met een balkon, genoeg plek voor een hond. We beschikken daarnaast over een auto. We hebben veel ervaring met eigen honden en kunnen voldoende aandacht & beweging geven en daarnaast zorg dragen mocht er een keer iets met de hond zijn. We zijn in principe alleen beschikbaar in de weekenden ivm werk. Op werkdagen oppassen is mogelijk in overleg, mits het oppassen min. 7 dagen aaneengesloten betreft. Let op: gezien we in een bovenwoning wonen moet de hond kunnen traplopen/makkelijk te tillen zijn.

Hi! (Ik spreek ook Nederlands). Lovely to meet you! I am 30 year old and am a sustainability consultant, I live in The Hague with my partner and our cat Milo. I'm Italian but have lived 20+ years in The Netherlands and 7 in Poland. I work twice a week Tuesday and Thursday Amsterdam and the rest at home. I love animals, what would life be without them. I have always had cats growing up, our first was when I was 1.5 years old, a beautiful Maine coon named CJ. I have had about 5 cats and a dog, and I feel like a lot of people don’t understand how amazing they are, how they show you how much they love you in the little things that they do. I currently live next to laan van noi with Milo (a European tuxedo short hair cat that loves food, he's the first one in my photos). At my parents place we have 2 cat brothers, pepito and super Mario, they are 10 years old, and Frida a Maltese, she is now 7 and loves being at the center of attention. I've taken care of both our own and friends pets, both cats and dogs. I have a pretty laid back schedule for work and can plan in walks at any time of the day really, mornings preferably not before 8am, can do afternoon and evenings. The walks are usually 30-45 minutes long, also depending on what the dog requires, some play time, cuddles. I am usually not free on Mondays as I'm in the office, but I can spend time with your pet in the evenings. I'd love to go on more walks during the day and hence I’d love to spend some time with your pet. I currently can't have any dogs, but would love to in the future. I will take care of your pet as if it were my own, I will send you pictures of them during my daily visits and or walks. Im happy to come over to feed and play with your pet, water any plants, and check the post, while making sure to respect the boundary of your pet, everyone has their own personality. The visits usually last about an hour. I'm happy to discuss any requests, and I can possibly stay at your place with your pet for the night, preferably not longer than 3-4 nights.
