Hi! I’m Odarka 🐾 I have a few years of professional pet-sitting experience and a lifetime of love for dogs, starting from childhood. I’m most experienced with German Shepherds—a smart, strong, and sometimes challenging breed—so I’m comfortable caring for high-energy, intelligent dogs. I work remotely, which makes it easy for me to spend quality time with your pet at home. I offer pet care both at your home and dog boarding at mine. For boarding, dogs should be comfortable with cats, as I have a sweet boy cat named Mersik. My goal is always to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where every pet feels happy and secure. ik ben sinds ik ben geboren opgegroeid met allerlei soorten honden en maten. ook waren er regelmatig nestjes met puppy’s geboren in het ouderlijk huis, ik heb dus veel ervaring met de wensen van een hond. 1- 1,5 uur wandeling

Elke dag maakt ik samen met mijn hond (Podenco) een mooie uitgebreide wandeling in diverse gebieden. Het lijkt mij erg leuk om deze wandeling te vergezellen met honden die dit ook erg leuk vinden en dit ook goed kunnen gebruiken. De wandeling wordt ervaren als een van de leukste dingen op de dag. Ik kies elke dag zorgvuldig weer een andere route waardoor het elke dag weer een nieuw avontuur wordt. Bij voorkeur kies ik de wat rustigere gebieden op waardoor ik mij vaak alleen waan met de hond. Dit vind ik heerlijk! Mijn hond is een adoptie-hond Podenco uit Spanje en heb ik vanaf pup. Ik ben helemaal in het honden gedrag gedoken en heb direct een 12 weken cursus praktijk en theorie gedaan. Hier heb ik enorm veel geleerd en is de band met mijn hond versterkt. Het samenzijn gaat nu zo natuurlijk dat ik voel dat ik er best nog 1 of 2 bij kan hebben tijdens het wandelen. Ik ben opzoek naar de wat makkelijkere honden om uit te laten die over het algemeen vrolijk gestemd zijn en makkelijk in de omgang zijn met andere honden en mensen. Honden die een lange mooie wandeling erg kunnen waarderen waardoor ze daarna heerlijk kunnen slapen.

Home away from home!

I live with my husband, who love dogs as much as I do and also have experience taking care of them & we love having a furry friend at our place to shower lot of love! I have been on other petsitting apps , where I have taken care of almost 10-15 dogs for the past 3 years. I moved to Amsterdam recently from Rotterdam and we live in a Pet-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space for long walks! Med and my husbands work schedules are pretty flexible, and we plan our work days based on each other availability, so we ensure that atleast one of us is at home when we have taken dogs. I have taken care of many dogs here in Netherlands which included breeds like - Maltese, Mini-Poodle, Poodles, Golden retriever, Shih Tzu, Labrador, Cocker-spaniels etc, whose age varied from 3 month old to 12 years and I could say that my friends and the puppies were always happy coming back to my place :)

ik en mijn dochter ( 14 jaar oud) hebben acht jaar onze eigen hond gehad. helaas is hij kort geleden onverwacht overleden. we willen geen hond meer voor ons zelf maar we willen graag oppas doen voor anderen. ik, mijn partner en onze dochter wonen in Amsterdam oost. dicht bij oosterpark waar we twee keer per dag met ons hond rond liepen. we kunnen opas doen voor honden die geen gedragsproblemen hebben. af en toe 2 of 3 uur alleen kunnen zijn. niet te veel blaffen. we zijn ook in het weekenden graag buiten en soms gaan we ook lange wandelingen maken in natuur of op strand.

Playful, loving, down-to-earth & good communicator

I almost enjoy spending time with dogs more than with people. I really love social dogs and I love playing and training, which I find so rewarding! I get excited when dogs are excited and love learning, so I have no problem leaving the house 10 times a day to potty train a puppy or walk for two hours in the park with an active dog while throwing a ball or doing little search challenges. I also think it's much nicer to cuddle on the couch after a long (or short) day in the park. I have signed up to Petbnb, since I work too much to be a dog mom myself - instead I will be the fun aunt. More about my experience: I've grown up around labradors and a springer spaniel in my family, all family dogs and some also trained and used for hunting. It taught me simple training techniques and made me see the joy that comes with a well-behaved and loved dog. I was the regular dog sitter for a broholmer for a few years, we always had the best time together. Currently I am the regular sitter for an old staffy. We tend to spend more time on the couch than in the park, but that's her preference. I also love bringing her when getting a coffee with friends or take her on a drive somewhere fun outside the city. Additionally I volunteer at a dog shelter, where I clean and go for walks with the dogs. I meet many different breeds here every week, and additionally I get to learn from professional dog trainers and caretakers. I've previously owned an english bulldog, Benji, a young rescue. He had issues with eating, seperation and stress because of his experiences, which I worked on together with a professional trainer. I definitely have a soft spot for those bully breeds now. Dogs communicate so much to us, and it's very important to read their body language, while I only give simple, easy to understand commands and use my body language. I am always calm and let the dog come to me, so they feel more relaxed and they can trust me. I have a lot of patience when getting to know new dogs, and I really appreciate all the little wins along the way, also if your dog has any special needs. More about my personal life: I'm originally from Copenhagen and moved to Amsterdam three years ago, when my boyfriend got a job here. I took a chance, quit my job and moved. I have learned some dutch, but communicate better in english still. I work in the fashion industry in a creative job. - I currently work full time and commute, so only my weekends are available. - We have an elevator in our building, if we are dog sitting in our apartment.

Mijn liefde voor honden is groot, en met jarenlange ervaring met zorg voor verschillende hondenrassen, verwacht ik dat jouw hond een leuke tijd zal gaan hebben, door: Uitlaten & hardloopsessies (structureel of sporadisch): Normale, kortere wandelingen of lange wandelroutes tot 15 km kunnen worden afgestemd op de energie van jouw hond. Speciale hardlooproutes voor energieke honden, zoals langs de Amstel (12 km) of door het Beatrixpark (5 km) kunnen we ook doen, in overleg. In parken in de buurt van jullie huis of mijn huis, kan jouw hond los, als dat gewenst is. Als jullie in (de buurt van) Amsterdam-Zuid wonen, lijkt het me heel leuk om structureel een hond uit te laten. Ik sta er dus zeker voor open om een vaste dag af te spreken of om vast uitlater te worden. Dagopvang (Geschikt voor 1 hond of 2 honden die samenwonen): Zowel mijn vriend als ik zijn echte hondenliefhebbers, dus jouw hond krijgt volop aandacht en liefde. Wij wonen in ruim appartement (140 m²) op de 3e verdieping in Amsterdam-Zuid. Het appartement heeft een balkon en in de zomer zetten we de openslaande deuren altijd open zodat de hond op het balkon kan liggen wanneer hij of zij dat wil. Uiteraard kunnen we de deuren sluiten, mocht een hond (of baasje) het spannend vinden. Binnen 5 minuten zijn we in het Beatrixpark met een speciale losloopplek en we zijn op loopafstand van de Amstel, waar we door het gras kunnen (hard)lopen. Ik sta er zeker voor open een om een vaste oppasdag per week af te spreken, maar het lijkt me ook leuk om af en toe een oppasadres te zijn. Het is voor de baas het meest praktisch als jullie in (de buurt van) Amsterdam-Zuid wonen. Logeren (Geschikt voor 1 hond of 2 honden die samenwonen): De hond krijgt een slaapplek in de ruime gang in ons appartement op de beneden of bovenverdieping. Honden die logeren wat spannender vinden, mogen direct bij onze slaapkamerdeur. Dus of jouw hond nu een actieve hardloper is of een rustige oudere viervoeter, ik pas mijn zorg en tempo volledig aan. Met geduld en liefde bied ik jouw hond een fijne tijd, zodat jij met een gerust hart weg kunt.

[ENGLISH BELOW] Hi! Wij zijn Braden (27) en Ashley (28). Wij wonen sinds 2023 samen in Amsterdam, nadat Braden (Brits/Zuid-Afrikaans) is verhuisd naar Nederland. Wij hebben beide altijd verschillende soorten honden gehad en missen dit enorm nu wij zelf samen (nog) geen hond hebben. Daarom vinden we het superfijn om via deze manier anderen uit de brand te kunnen helpen én zelf omringd te blijven met viervoeters. Wij wonen 5 minuutjes van zowel Rembrandtpark als Erasmuspark (hier heb je zelfs een plek speciaal voor honden!) vandaan wat een ideale omgeving is om erop uit te gaan. Ook werken we allebei grotendeels thuis en zijn we ontzettend flexibel, waardoor we veel aandacht hebben voor oppashonden of makkelijk langs kunnen komen voor een wandeling. We hebben verder geen voorkeur voor een bepaalde dag of hoeveelheid dagen, mits we genoeg tijd hebben om het in te plannen. Ashley heeft een aantal jaar geleden met haar eigen Shi-Tzu en Chihuahua een nestje gehad, en dus ervaring met zowel het opvoeden van (zeer) jonge puppies als omgang met senioren. Natuurlijk is iedereen hond anders, maar we zijn er erg van bewust waar verschillende rassen en leeftijden aan toe zijn (en waar niet!). If I didn't need the money I would do it for free

Hi there! I've always been passionate about animals and I even became a vegetarian because of that. My boyfriend introduced me to PETBNB to fill in the void of not being with my own dogs while I couldn’t bring them to the Netherlands. Unfortunately I am not able to look after your dog in my own house, but I have no problem going to yours and make your puppies few as safe as they possibly can in their own environment. I have a positive approach so I don’t believe that being aggressive and showing yourself as an “alpha” is really effective. I have experience with cats and I don't have a problem with any breeds or reactive dogs, I have one myself so I know what it’s like and how to make them more comfortable. It’s all about the baby steps! I will give cuddles and pet them all day even if my hands fall off (if they like it, of course). I promise you that I can take care of your baby as if it was mine! While sitting I usually take a LOT of pictures to show you what are we up to, so I recommend saving a little space on your phone for the thousand pictures I will send you haha (I’m not joking). Geen tijd? ! Ik maak tijd vrij voor uw hond!

Ik ben altijd al dol geweest op alle honden, ongeacht hun ras. Altijd geïnteresseerd geweest in de gedachten van een hond. Hun blijdschap, nadat ze zijn uitgelaten...... Ik heb altijd honden gehad, van Pitbull tot Poedel en als laatste een Springer Spaniel en een Cocker Spaniel. Ik laat niet meer dan 3 honden per wandeling uit, zodat ik altijd de volle aandacht heb voor uw hond en de groep nooit (te) groot en onoverzichtelijk wordt. De wandelingen duren gemiddeld een uur (soms iets langer) en vinden plaats in het Amsterdamse Bos. Eventueel is het ook mogelijk om naar het strand te gaan, tijd/dag kan in overleg.
