Hey there, Glad you found our profile. We are Manon and Merijn, a couple in the centre of The Hague. We want to adopt a dog ourselves in the future, but first get some experience having dogs in our house. We were both born into households filled with dogs, so we have a lot of experience taking care of them. Manon had a Yorkshire for over 15 year, and Merijn grew up with German Shepards and Golden Retrievers. We have a very spacious appartement and both love taking very long walks. We live nearby the Scheveningse Bosjes, so all we are missing is a dog to take with us. Who knows, maybe it will be yours!

Growing up, we had several dogs at home, from small to large, and I’ve been involved in everything from everyday care and walks to giving medication and looking after dogs when they’re unwell. Ik vind het leuk om in de vrije uurtjes op dieren te passen en ze te verzorgen. Honden, katten, konijnen, vogels, vissen etc. In de winter van 2017/2018 heb ik 2 weken bij dierenopvang Scooby in Spanje vrijwilligerswerk gedaan. Bekend van de hazewindhonden die ge/misbruikt worden voor de jacht. Ik heb meegeholpen met het schoonmaken van de verblijven en het geven van eten en aandacht. De laatste week hebben ze me toevertrouwd om de kleinere hokken van de zieke en angstige dieren schoon te maken en iedere hond apart uit te laten. De hond op de foto was mijn favoriet en heb ik in een Nederlands asiel opgezocht toen hij daar naartoe was gebracht. In maart 2023 heb ik meegeholpen op een kleine (hazewind)honden opvang in Malaga. Mijn vriend en ik hebben 2 katten. In de toekomst hoop ik een hond (uit Spanje) te kunnen adopteren als onze situatie dat toestaat. Tarief: ik vraag 12,- voor een heel uur. Alleen aanvragen uit de eigen wijk Nesselande.

Since my childhood, I've always felt a special affection for animals. My dream job was to become a vet! Unfortunately, I've never had my own dog because as a student I was afraid of not being able to provide fully for the dog.
