Have just moved to the Netherlands from Ireland and have had to leave my family dogs behind- missing company on my walks and evening cuddles. I know how to tire a dog out with a good walk (and lots of patient sniff stops of they’re that way inclined!) or give them attention if that’s what they need. I understand that all owners have their own way with their pets and am more than happy to follow those rules too. Was never lucky enough to have a cat due to family member allergies so am very excited to get to spend some time with some. A huge animal lover, and if I do say so myself, generally loved by animals too!

Hondenoppas met veel ervaring met grote honden

Als ervaren hondenbezitter heb ik jarenlang met veel plezier een Oud-Duitse Herder en een Berner Sennen gehad. Hierbij heb ik zelf de volledige opvoeding gedaan en ben daardoor goed bekend met het gedrag, de behoeften en de kracht van grote honden. Overigens zijn kleine honden ook welkom. Op dit moment heb ik zelf even geen tijd om weer een hond te nemen, maar wél de tijd, ruimte en aandacht om op te passen. Ik heb een gelijkvloers huis met tuin, wat ideaal is voor honden die graag makkelijk naar buiten gaan of minder goed trappen lopen. Vanwege een tijd in het buitenland te hebben gewoond is mijn profiel verwijderd, dus heb helaas nog geen reviews.

Dogs are my favourite people

I grew up in a house with 3 dogs, knowing that the dog children came before the human children, so I always treat the dogs I look after much the same way. They get a little spoiled, but I also make sure that they know the boundaries and to stick to any specific training or routines their owners normally have. I commonly look after quite a needy dog, so am also used to having a dog around as my shadow if you have a pooch who has some separation anxiety issues. I think its important to let the dog get to know you first, and make sure they feel comfortable so if that means a couple of home visits before they come to stay that is fine for me. There is a small dog park right by my house, and I live near a number of parks so there is always lots of opportunity for the dogs to run around and play, or be walked in grassy areas. At the moment I have quite flexible availability, and am always open to discussing the options to work out what is best for you and your doggo. I don't have a specific preference for the type of dogs I take care of, I love them all.

Na opgegroeid te zijn met katten begon ik op mijn 13e al mijn eerste honden uitlaatservice voor familie en kennissen. Zo was ik twee jaar lang de vaste oppas voor Beer (kruising). Inmiddels heb ik ruime ervaring met verschillende (kleine en middelgrote) rassen en heb ik een aantal terugkerende oppashondjes. Ik woon in een appartementje aan de rand van het centrum van de stad en kijk tijdens het oppassen altijd uit naar de spelen, knuffelen en de wandelingen naar bijvoorbeeld Bilderdijkpark of Geuzekade. Indien de gasthond houdt van spelen met andere honden heb ik voldoende vrienden met honden die graag een playdate inplannen. Hierbij laten we al-tijd(!) de honden eerst op een veilige manier kennismaken. Ik ben een betrouwbare oppas die haar thuiswerk dagen en vrije tijd gemakkelijk kan aanpassen naar de routine van een gasthond. Verwacht regelmatig updates (met foto’s) gedurende het verblijf van jouw hondje. Note: In verband met mijn relatief kleine appartement op 1-hoog pas ik enkel op kleine en middelgrote rassen die zindelijk zijn.

This is my second time using Danielle, and again she is the BEST dog sitter there is. She has a stash of dog toys and treats at her house that she greets your pet with to make them feel comfortable immediately. She consistently sends pictures/updates of your pup- which is something I love. I honestly think my dog may *almost* prefer her over me.

Zal me even voorstellen: Ik ben Melissa 28 jaar en woon in een eengezinswoning in landsmeer met een tuin met mijn twee kleine kinderen (zeker dieren gewend) van 2 jaar en 5 jaar en mijn chihuahua teefje gesteriliseerd Ik ben jongs af aan opgegroeid met diverse dieren om mijn heen. Voornamelijk honden (van egt diverse rassen/ groot en klein) maar ook vissen, vogels, cavia’s, hamsters, konijnen, fretten. . Het fijnste is als de huisdieren hier komen in huiselijke sfeer, mits het natuurlijk matcht met mijn hond en ze kinderen zijn gewend zijn. Vrijblijvend kennis maken is dan dan ook wel wenselijk. De dieren die hier welkom zijn: -Honden, cavia, konijnen, hamsters, vissen, vogels, fretten, Eventueel andere kleine huisdieren in kleine kooi zijn ook welkom die ik hier niet genoemd heb. Ik snap dat het hier logeren niet altijd kan dus kan zeker ook op huisbezoek gaan voor eventueel katten en alle bovenstaande dieren die ik heb vernoemd. Ik kan dan gelijk thuis ook even de planten water geven binnen en in de tuin en of balkon. (Zit allen in de prijs inbegrepen) uw post netjes opruimen. Tussen door stofzuigen, de vuilnis doen zo dat u in een net huis terug komt! Om een heerlijke wandeling te maken met de hond sta ik ook zeker voor open. Denk dat ik zo wel alles heb benoemd :) Vrijblijvend kennismaken is natuurlijk altijd mogelijk om te kijken of het allemaal klikt en alles qua werkzaamheden en de prijs valt nog te bespreken. Eventuele referenties kan ik doorgeven als daar vraag naar is van de diverse huisdieren. Als je nog vragen hebt stuur me gerust een berichtje!

Mijn hond was erg op haar gemak bij Melissa :) Ze heeft het erg naar haar zin gehad!

Hoi! 🐶 Ik ben op zoek naar leuke honden om op te passen en ze de aandacht, liefde en beweging te geven die ze verdienen. Liefdevol verblijf!

Wij zijn Anna en Philip, beiden 27 jaar. Doordat we beiden onregelmatig werken, kunnen we helaas zelf geen hondje in huis nemen, maar het voordeel is dat we zo af en toe momenten vrij hebben om op een hond op te kunnen passen. Wij houden ook van lekker buiten zijn en wandelen en hebben een liefde voor honden, dus uw hond komt niks te kort! Me and my husband are both dog lovers and grew up with dogs around. We want a dog of our own, but currently we live in a rental apartment and we both work a lot. We think that right now our lives are to volatile to raise a pup, but we never let the chance of dogsitting slip away when our friends need some help 🌸 I got to know very different dogs in my life and I understand that they might need patience and different approaches. I knew dogs that suffer from anxiety, some are just goofballs that need a lot of entertainment and some of them can be really uptight and defensive. But there is nothing more rewarding than earning a dogs trust. For example, here in Amsterdam I am regularly taking care of my friends foster dog. She’s been through a lot of hardships in life, but after a while I was finally able to earn her trust and my friend can travel on the weekends 🥰 I see dogsitting as a wonderful opportunity for me to share the love for dogs and support dog owners, while currently our life situation doesn’t allow us to adopt one ourselves.

Daria was great for Pablo. Required a lot of patience as my little friend can be very stubborn. In the end he looked very happy!
