Hello! My name is Aida, I'm a Canadian expat living and working in Haarlem. I have grown up around cats and dogs since childhood and come from a family with 5 Bernese mountain dogs! I love all animals and have lots of experience with different breeds of dogs. I used to be a pet sitter on Rover and Pawswap in Vancouver, Canada. I live an active lifestyle and will happily walk your dog and provide lots of play. I live in a ground floor one bedroom with a fenced backyard. I understand it can be stressful to find someone to look after your furry friend (been there myself!) but I can provide references and guarantee to take great care of your pet. Dogs are my favourite people

I grew up in a house with 3 dogs, knowing that the dog children came before the human children, so I always treat the dogs I look after much the same way. They get a little spoiled, but I also make sure that they know the boundaries and to stick to any specific training or routines their owners normally have. I commonly look after quite a needy dog, so am also used to having a dog around as my shadow if you have a pooch who has some separation anxiety issues. I think its important to let the dog get to know you first, and make sure they feel comfortable so if that means a couple of home visits before they come to stay that is fine for me. There is a small dog park right by my house, and I live near a number of parks so there is always lots of opportunity for the dogs to run around and play, or be walked in grassy areas. At the moment I have quite flexible availability, and am always open to discussing the options to work out what is best for you and your doggo. I don't have a specific preference for the type of dogs I take care of, I love them all.

Ik ben onwijs gek op dieren en wil al mijn leven lang graag een honden vriend erbij. Helaas laat ons (mijn vriend en ik) werkleven dit niet toe. Je wil wel de aandacht geven die ze nodig hebben. Daarom is petbnb de plek voor mij om toch een beetje liefde te kunnen geven aan en ontvangen van onze liefste maatjes! Ik ben al mijn leven lang omringd door dieren. Voornamelijk katten, maar ik heb ook vaker gepast op honden (en kippen, maar dat terzijde). Ik ben dus een kenner, verwen ze maar al te graag met dikke knuffels en laat ze graag uit in de natuur. Zo krijgt de hond quality time en wordt ik opgeladen van het buiten zijn en de gezelligheid dat een hond geeft. We hebben twee katten, maar die zijn het grootste gedeelte van de dag buiten en zullen ook niet binnen zijn als ik op de hond pas. Ik ben voornamelijk beschikbaar op zondag, van 09:00 tot 17:00 uur. Dan kan ik oppassen en uitlaten. Ook ben ik beschikbaar op de maandag en woensdag tijdens de lunch (12:00-13:30 uur) om uit te laten. Af en aan ben ik vrijdag in de middag tot 17:00 uur beschikbaar, oppassen in overleg. Het lijkt mij onwijs leuk om op een lieve honden vriend te passen. Iets wat op dit moment niet zelf lukt, maar iets wat ik wel graag wil. Voor ras en leeftijd heb ik geen voorkeur. Iedereen is welkom. Wij, Christian & Esther, sinds een jaar samenwonend hebben ruimte voor het gezelschap van een viervoeter🐶 Beide zijn vanuit huis opgegroeid met honden! Zo nu en dan komt er nog wel is één daar van logeren, zo zijn wij op het idee gekomen om ons hier dan ook voor aan te melden! Wij wonen centraal in Hoofddorp, in een woonhuis met een fijne ruime tuin van 60m2. In de woonwijk ligt een klein groen losloop gebied, op 2km het Haarlemmermeerse bos en 2,5km het Toolenburgse plas. Genoeg keuze voor een wandeling dus! Verder hebben wij geen huisdieren en geen kinderen. Zijn geïnteresseerd in kleine en middel maat honden. Wij vinden het leuk (als dit past qua afstand en agenda) om van te voren even elkaar te ontmoeten, dan heeft u een idee over bij wie u uw beste vriend(in) laat en of dit klikt! Ook vinden wij het belangrijk dat uw hond de rust en aandacht krijgt die hij/zij nodig heeft en willen we er maar 1 tegelijk. (Als u zelf meerdere bezit eventueel in overleg) Beschikbaarheid is variërend. In het weekend zijn we over het algemeen beschikbaar en bespreken we van te voren af of dit past. Doordeweeks werken we beide, dus hier zijn uiteraard mogelijkheden in goed overleg. denk hierbij dan aan dat hij/zij wel af en toe een aantal uur alleen moet kunnen zijn als dit nodig is.
